I come home in the morning light,
My mother says "When you gonna live your life right?"

Alianne Cooper was walking through a cute little harbor dressed in a casual navy blue dress and gold gladiator shoes. This town was all new to the blonde since she had arrived only two days ago. She had finally finished her unpacking and decided to explore a bit. She was living with her twin brother, Alex. Aly didn't have a job herself but Alex did. He had been accepted as an Auror down in New Zealand and was moving there. As a spur of the moment decision, Aly had followed Alex, becoming his new roommate. The twins were as thick as thieves with each other so Alex hadn't minded when she tagged along. Their parents provided them each with a trust fund that had been building for years and now, they finally had access to it. Aly liked to think of it as a grand new adventure with a whole country just waiting to be discovered!

Alianne ran her hand through her long, straight blonde hair. Even with flat shoes on, she was five foot seven. She was considered to be a beauty though her most interesting feature was her eyes. They were a striking amethyst color which was rare, even in the magical community. The eye color, as well as the likelihood of twins, was known to run in the family every few generations. Aly had been the lucky one who got the purple eyes while her brother's were a shade of blue. Her parents had masked her eye color whenever she went out in public with muggles as a child. They attracted too much attention to the already pretty girl. It was still something she chose to hide when associating with muggles. It was better to hide them than to be noticed for the wrong reason.

Aly wasn't really concerned with what she was going to do in New Zealand. She was a bright girl but it was hard to keep her attention. She didn't focus well or seem to have discovered her purpose in life. Aly was content with just having fun for the time being. She twirled a blonde strand of hair in her fingers as she strolled lackadaisically through the cobblestone streets. It was a warm, summer day here halfway across the world from her hometown. She spotted a beautiful fountian sitting in what looked like the center of the harbor. She thought it would be a good place to take in the enviroment around her.

Alianne sat down on the brim of the fountian. A warm breeze swirled around her as if to welcome her to the Harbour. Her purple eyes peered into the crystal clear water. She reached out with her fingertips, skimming them lightly along the surface of the water. How different this new place was! What adventures did it hold for her?

Magic held not a spot of interest in Izaak Jay Finch. He had never particularly cared for a
hand to aid him in chores or a hex to fling at his enemies. He steered a Chevvie instead
of a broom, he watched the football on his television set at home yet didn’t see the hype
that quidditch roused amongst magical folk. He called people up on his iPhone and had
never owned an owl in his life. For three years his ebony wand, the one that had proved
to be nothing more useful than the key to his graduation, had lain done and dusted right
at the very bottom of his drawers. Because from the moment he had first seen his sister
in a mad struggle to stand atop the neighbour’s surfboard, Izaak had known even all the
way back then at the babbling age of five that contentment wouldn’t come from any other
kind of lifestyle. And from there Izaak’s sudden hatred of a pure blooded wizard’s life had
never ceased to grow much to the disgust of his father. But now at the age of twenty one
Izaak could feel his defensive edges begin to wear thin, a hard tug at his heart from the
world less preferred. Although it wasn’t the magic that enticed him, Izaak knew as much.
He was terrible, awful with a wand. But the people he had met, the ones that had come
to slam his world on its back, the very same ones that were there to lift it up again, were
grasping him with invisible fingers, gripping so tight that it left him feeling bruised in their
absence. It frustrated Izaak to no end that he still lived and breathed this world, so many
ties still fixed him to it. Of course he should have somewhat expected this, he had fallen
in love with Pierre Richarde’s daughter all those years ago after all. But even she shared
views that ran in parallel with his own. It should have been simpler but when was it ever?

Obsidian Harbour was just one of those places that he’d never live down. Its streets held
so many memories; the good, the bad and the ugly all rolled up in to one. Connotations
the community held with his former flame Isabella were never too far from Izaak’s mind
whenever he visited it but they never triggered anything more than a weary smile. Their
relationship, even just thinking about it, made him painfully dizzy. The fluctuation in their
happiness had been so sharp it made Izaak wonder how they had managed to stay with
one another for as long as they had. He and Isabella, they were infamous for sure. Here
the young man found himself chuckling a little beneath his breath as he sighted the very
fountain they had shared their first encounter beneath. He greeted the structure like an
old friend, his hands smoothed a path across the wet stone, the chilled rock refreshing
against his hot palm. Like a child that was ever curious of water, Izaak dabbled one hand
in the fountain whilst the other tucked into a pocket in the side of his board shorts as he
felt the familiar urge to dive straight in overwhelm him. For a moment Izaak tried to recall
as he wandered around its rim, the days he and Isabella had ventured down here at the
end of her shift and made out until the spray from the fountain had been enough to soak
his back. Out of curiosity he tried to remember how Is had felt against him, how she had
tasted on his tongue. But all that he was returned with, each and every single time was
the thought of Alexis and how incomparably perfect she felt to him. It made him smile a
little and doused him in love for what would be a moment too long. For Izaak soon found
himself on the verge of bumping into someone who seemed to have had the same idea
as himself. Startled, he lurched back a few inches before coming to glance into the eyes
of the stranger, a brilliant blue clashed with an amethyst purple as Izaak spoke, “Sorry.”

I come home in the morning light,
My mother says "When you gonna live your life right?"

Alianne was always aware of her surroundings. She easily took in everything around her with her observant eyes. Her mother had often remarked on the fact that nothing escaped her daughter's awareness. Her father was the same way so it pleased him that his daughter had inherited the same type of critical mind. Though neither of her parents were pleased that their daughter had no internal drive in her life. Her father was more understanding that her mother. He knew Aly would eventually find something that gripped her attention and she could throw all her efforts and passion into that. The blonde really paid no attention to their worries. She just wanted to have fun.

So, Aly was aware of a rather handsome man moving in her peripheral vision. With the corner of her eye sight, she took in everything there was to see about this stranger. It had always been a hobby of hers to people watch, taking in every little detail about the strangers she would find in the mall, on the streets, at resturants. Alianne noted that this particular stranger had a darker shade of brunette hair, and was rather muscularly build. She found it strange that he was wearing the kind of shorts that you would normally wear at the beach. Was there a beach around here? The stranger also had vivid blue eyes that she could easily see without looking at him directly. She monitered him in the water as he seemed to not be paying attention to where he was going. Something else was on his mind, Aly could just tell.

Therefore, Aly wasn't surprised as he came close to bumping into her. She had turned right before, her purple eyes staring back at those blue ones. Aly hadn't expected him to apologize since he didn't actually bump her. Curiousity flared in her mind. "That's alright. You didn't actually bump into me." she said, her southern accent thick on her lips. She was from the deep south of the United States, Tennessee. A smile was on the blonde's face as her shocking eyes scruitinzed his face for what he was thinking. "I'm Alianne." she said, putting her hand out for him to shake. Aly was a friendly girl and this was her first encounter with someone in New Zealand.

The violet hues of the girl’s irises had Izaak all but staring at the sheer unnaturalness of
them before he had even taken in the rest of her; the lustrous blonde locks that tumbled
down past her shoulders, the American accent that was heavily laden in her voice. Even
her words almost slipped from Izaak’s attention as he gauged how it were even possible
for someone to have eyes as such. Catching himself in his amazement, which much to
his humiliation had not been very well disguised, the azure-eyed man couldn’t help but to
wondered if this was the kind of reaction his own eyes stirred in people. The fixation on
them in conversation was something he was very much used to now and rarely came to
notice at all. But it was so wickedly different to take a hold of the other end of the stick.
A smile, sheepish in nature, plucked up the corner of Izaak’s lips as their gazes locked
on one another’s and he tried his best not to think about the intensity of the hue at hand
but instead listened to the twang struck in her voice and the way she verbally brushed
away his apology. A chuckle rose from Izaak's throat before he reached a muscular arm
up to scratch the back of his neck, bringing his own dismissal of the impulsive apology.

A warmth inside Izaak stirred as the woman, Alianne, held her hand out for him to shake.
“Izaak.” He returned, curling his fingers around her palm, so small in comparison to his.
With a grasp, firm yet friendly, Izaak shook it and let himself chuckle quietly once more
to himself. This meeting seemed so spontaneous, so sudden and yet, so him. But after
finding out that Alexis was pregnant several months ago, Izaak really hadn’t been spared
enough chances for out-of-the-blue meetings such as these. And it was a pity too, they
had always proved to pave the way for such good, wholesome relationships. And as his
azure eyes fixated softly on Alianne he mused to himself that this would be no different.
“The pleasure’s all mine.” Then when he had finally let her hand drop from his own the
young man flashed her a crooked smile; dimples flashing, eyes aglow and spoke with an
abashed laughter to his voice. “Yeah, I’m not usually that uncoordinated... Just sayin’. I
guess I’ve got a bit on my mind.”
The twenty-one year old shrugged his shoulders and
rolled his eyes up at himself, of course had a lot on his mind, he would be a father soon!

lame, i’m so tired.

I come home in the morning light,
My mother says "When you gonna live your life right?"

Alianne watched the man with curiosity in her eyes. He seemed...surprised by her. Yeah that was the right word, surprised. And maybe embaressed....the way he was rubbing his head gave her that notion. She wondered if it had anything to do with her eyes...and the fact he had been staring. They were an unusual color but so were this man's. She didn't think she had ever seen eyes that color before...It was the brightest, purest blue! It was if someone had taken the color from the ocean and painted it into his eyes. She couldn't help but smile at him, the corners of her mouth turning upwards. "It's nice to meet you Izaak." she said, her voice sounding like chimes in the air. Aly always gave her formal name first to strangers however, hardly anyone called her by it. Sooner or later she always told them to call her Aly instead. Alianne was reserved by her family for when they were angry or scolding her.

Aly took a moment to study Izaak. He was handsome, and appeared to be of a good nature. His voice suggested that he knew how to laugh and have a good time. He was taller than she was and even better looking when one looked at him directly instead of through the reflection on the water. The blonde frowned slightly at his words. They did not sound as carefree as his appearance suggested. It wasn't really her place to ask since they just met but curiousity was eating Aly up. "Why are you distracted?" she asked, trying to sound nonchalant. "I mean if you don't mind me asking." she added, not wanting to sound rude or imposing.

Not wanting to seem rude and, as an engaged man, not wanting to encourage the wrong
sort of impression, Izaak cast his azure eyes briefly down to the reflections of the light in
the water fountain. The constantly moving, psychedelic kind of pattern at the very bottom
of the structure reflected up on to the pleasant expression imposed upon his handsome
face, striking all sorts of impressive angles straight into his irises, the blue almost aflame.
For months on end now he had been left without this kind of social approach, without the
excitement of meeting somebody new, the fresh canvas to work up in an assortment of
colours. So as Izaak stood before this girl he was now acquainted with, so acutely aware
of that curious shade of purple he just could not seem to shake from his peripheral vision
and the study they took of him, he suddenly conscious of himself and the many ways in
which his charisma had often drawn in his company when he too took a charm to them.

The question that surfaced between the pair surprised Izaak with its forwardness and left
him pondering just how much of his dazed dawdle she had seen. In spite of himself a dry
chuckle left the young mans lips whilst his azure eyes made a sheepish path back to the
beautiful violet of Aliannes. Shes different alright, the quick thought passed him with an
inward smile in tow and that she was, but it was much appreciated by Izaak Jay, serving
as some kind of journey in memory back to the days where hed talk to girls with much of
the same curious, unashamed attitude. Realising he may have begun to look like a fool
with that smile attempting to crawl onto his expression, Izaak hastily fixed up an answer.
Just thinking about a girl I used to know. She danced in the middle of that fountain, right
there.
Izaak said with a breezy smile as one hand pointed out the spot in which Isabella
had left herself victim to the tumbling water whilst the other reached up for his shoulder,
scratching it absentmindedly as his mind touched on such memories that Izaak was sure
had been the root cause of the decision to keep the precious mistake he and his fiancée
had stumbled upon. The casual tone of voice was entirely unmatchable to the romance
he and Isabella had shared but Izaak figured hed leave it at that, just an impression of a
girl hed shared kisses with in the park one summers afternoon and nothing more. And
then some.
He smiled then, genuinely and deeply, the smile of a man deep and happy
in love; the dimple in his cheek flashing a perfectly adult rendition of his teenage charm.

Strong, work-roughened hands gripped the stone edge of the fountain and blazoned the
lines of muscles in his upper arms as he hoisted himself upward onto the structure then
patted the spot by his side for Alianne to settle into. What about you? No friends and no
man here?
Izaak teased with his tongue caught sharply between his teeth as his cheeky
gaze flicked momentarily over the people that passed by. Quite the trooper I see, Aly.
Izaaks fist caught her gently, giving a soft push that threaded between his jesting words.

Alianne watched Izaak with curiousity. A strange expression was coming over his face, like he was trying to smile but suppressing it instead. When he explained, the young blonde laughed, quite amused with Izaak's story. It sounded like something she might do if she were so inclined. Aly had been known around her hometown to be quite implusive and live in the moment. She smiled at Izaak. "She sounds like a fun person." she said honestly. Aly wouldn't mind being friends with a girl like that, though many girls didn't like her for some reason. She assumed it was just petty jealousy was the cause as it so often is between girls. "Did you dance with her in the fountian?" she asked, as if it would be the obvious thing to do so.

Aly looked with interest as Izaak lifted himself up onto the structure, patting the cement next to him for Alianne to sit. She didn't give it a second thought as she climbed up next to him. Aly thought she rather liked this Izaak. He was different and interesting. She had a feeling they were going to be close friends. Alianne let out a cheerful laugh as he asked her about friends, and a boyfriend. The blonde shook her head. "I don't have either. I just moved here a few days ago. This is actually the first trip out of the house." she admitted, her violet eyes staring up at his bright blue ones. Such odd eyes for both of them to posess. She rolled those same odd eyes as he punched her lightly. A mock look of pain flashed across her face. "Hey now! No need for violence." she scolded him, before giving him a little shove, hoping to knock him backwards into the fountain. A wicked gleam passed through her purple eyes. After all, he was wearing swim shorts.

Where a normal girl would have giggled nervously at the thought of being so bold, where a normal girl might have asked, ‘why?’, Alianne simply questioned if he had done so too in such a tone that almost had him convinced it was the most natural thing on earth to dance sopping wet in the middle of a park fountain. Izaak cocked his head at her curiously, seizing up the blonde before him and the sincerity in her question, which he soon found to be all honesty. A smile lazed crookedly on his lips, digging a dimple into one cheek as he replied with a kind laughter in his azure eyes, recalling the dripping wet t-shirt he had come off with. “No, but I might as well have anyway.” That day and those memories seemed a world away from where he stood now, despite the fact that geographically he had not exactly moved a muscle. That had been before he had even known of the feelings Alexis had had for Zaire. Again, it seemed like an entirely different universe.

Izaak kept his gaze to this new found friend of his as she hoisted herself up on the structure to sit by his side, pleased that she hadn’t politely brushed him off instead. He barely knew this blonde-haired, violet-eyed woman, she was as good as a stranger to Izaak Jay although already he felt so comfortable around her, she felt like the girl next door he had known for years or like a friend from kindergarten. Familiar, comfortable, fitting. So naturally he could help but grin as she stated that, though only moving here a few days ago, she lived in New Zealand and not the States like he had assumed from her accent. “You’ll love it here, trust me.” Izaak’s own mixed American accent didn’t seem nearly as strong when it was matched up against Aly’s. Not like back home amongst his Bondi friends and their lazy tongues, he still got jarred for his accent even after having lived in Australia for an upwards of eight years now.

A laugh tumbled from his lips as Alianne wore a look of faux pain. He couldn’t help it, she was so like him that it was uncanny. Her humour especially seemed like his right down to a ‘t’. And wasn’t that the basis for the best friendships after all? But in the midst of his chuckles and paying attention to the words she spoke, Izaak was caught off guard by the shove against his upper body. Unbalanced, he toppled backwards into the shallows of the fountain and landed on his arse, half-submerged in the crisp cool of the water. For all of a split second he sat there, jaw hanging wide open as he stared in disbelief at Alianne. But soon Izaak was laughing and found he could not stop, having to snatch raspy breaths in making his way back up to the edge of the structure. His clothes were completely drenched, and he may as well have been half-naked in the middle of Obsidian Harbour anyway because his white singlet was as good as transparent. But that thought did not even cross Izaak’s mind as he rose to make a grab for Alianne. “You’re in for it.” He grinned devilishly as his hands went to pull her into the cool water with him.

Alianne was slightly disappointed that Izaak had not danced in the fountian with the girl. It sounded like such good fun, though Aly would have probably gotten in trouble for such a stunt. Alex would not have been pleased with that news. Aly's antics sometimes irratated her twin brother who was so serious. Alianne smiled sincerely as Izaak said she would love it here. She had the strongest suspicion that he was completely accurate, even though she barely knew him. This seemed like the kind of place where she could find plenty of things to get into and meet new friends. The only potential problem was the weather. "I think I will love it here too, except maybe in the winter. I heard it gets much cooler here than I am used to back in Tennesse." she said with a laugh. It was something she would just hace to get over.

Aly was surprised that she had managed to actually push Izaak over. She hadn't expected him to fall but he did topple over the edge. A laugh burst forward from Aly's lips at the look of shock on her new friend's face. It seemed she had caught him unaware as his jaw hung open like a codfish. Laughter erupted from the young blonde. "Maybe this fountian is bad luck for you. It seems you just get wet everytime." she said with mock seriousness, almost as if she felt pity for him. However, it was all just a show as he could easily tell. Alianne got the feeling she would be in trouble once he made it back to the top of the structure. Izaak stood, revealing the fact that he was practically shirtless. Her purple eyes surveyed him, widening slightly. He seemed to be very chisled to go along with the fact that he was strikingly handsome.

Aly's amythest eyes glared at him as he made a grab for her. "You wouldn't." she said, knowing him well enough by now that he would. She had a feeling this would be the last time her blue dress saw the sunlight. His hands latched on to her forearms as she was dragged into the water. Alianne wasn't mad but just laughed as the cool water encompassed her. Her body dipped under the water as her feet tried to get back under her so she could stand. Aly pointed her finger at Izaak. "Mister, I hope you know you just started a war." the blonde warned him in her thick southern accent as she stood. Aly shook her wet blonde hair, spraying water out on Izaak. A devilish look came to her face as she reached down to splash a huge wave at Izaak.

"Maybe this fountian is bad luck for you. It seems you just get wet everytime." Izaak’s brows rose up at Alianne, as if purely challenging her to curse his luck a second time around and see what would happen. Not that he didn’t plan on getting his revenge anyway. “You know, I’m thinking maybe it’s more just awful the people I met here.” His mock bite met her mock pity and it collided with all that he thought was the humoured genius in the world. This girl, this Alianne, was but a stroke away from his personality. They had known each other all of ten minutes perhaps and already it felt like a lifetime. Hell, here he was dripping wet because she had just pushed him into a fountain. It wasn’t exactly the type of thing acquaintances did.

With a smirk bold and alive on his lips, he watched as her striking eyes narrowed on the similarly bright hues of his own. "You wouldn't." But it was obvious by now that would, he definitely would. Laughing, he dragged her into the water with him and was more than glad to see that when her body fell victim to the shallows, she too seemed to find it funny enough to laugh. But even when he saw the state her dress had gotten in, even when she jabbed a finger towards him and warned him of the consequences, Izaak could not help but to laugh harder. The droplets of water that left her hair were enough to douse his face in the coolness the rest of his body was currently experiencing but that had nothing on the scoop and splash of her hands. The water hit him square in the face and with his face screwed up into a cringe, he felt his fringe flatten down to his brows, the water running steadily into his azure blue eyes. “Awww,” Izaak laughed as he wiped the water from his sight and shook his hair much like a dog would to free it from its soaked vices.

Standing up Izaak scooped the water up in his large hands and threw it back at Aly with a famous grin sidling on his lips. But as he did so, he noticed the uncomfortable feel of his clinging to his body as he did so and realised just how wet he really was. Chewing on his lip, Izaak thoughts raced wildly and wondered if this was exactly appropriate with a pregnant fiancée back home. Of course, of course, there was not a single chance of him cheating on Alexis, he had learnt his lesson long ago but still Izaak couldn’t shake the feeling that this was the very same spot he had become friends with Isabella. The memory, in that sense, was almost haunting. Eyes glanced down at the transparency of his shirt, they might as well have gone to the beach and have him sling it off instead. He hoped she wouldn’t think him a killjoy, so instead, Izaak sat on the side of the fountain and kicked the water out at her, hoping to sundry his shirt at the same time.

Alianne simply laughed at his bitting remark. It didn't bother her because she knew he was only joking. Typical girls would have been hurt at the cutting words but then again, Aly had never been a typical girl. She had always been different, hardly ever doing what others thought that she should or what was expected. Aly hadn't know Izaak for long at all but she could tell he wasn't just your typical guy either. He felt like her best friend that she told all her secrets to. He was her friend she was certain, even if they had known each other for less than a half hour. Alianne rolled her violet eyes at Izaak. "Well maybe you should stop coming here if you meet such horrible people." she told him sarcastically.

Aly didn't cringe away from the splash he threw at her but let it come straight on instead. She laughed as he shook himself out like a wet dog before climbing back up on the structure. Aly raised one eyebrow. "Forfeiting already?" she said giving him a disapproving look. Aly turned her attention back to the water, running her hands through it. The cool water felt nice against her hot skin but the heat here was nothing compared to what it was back home in Tennessee. She spun in a circle, simply enjoying being in the middle of the watter.

She asked him if he was forfeiting and Izaak found himself doing little else but snorting, humoured by her claim and rolling the whites of his otherwise azure eyes up at her playfully. He, Izaak Jay Finch, forfeiting? “Hah! And I thought you had me all figured out already!” He called with a laugh to her through the curl of his palms as he cupped his hands to his mouth in a makeshift megaphone. Toying with the muscles of his brow, Izaak continually raised his eyebrows up at her in instigation of a challenge, but one this time of the reason he had stepped back from their water fight. He wanted to prove Aly wrong, to erase what must be her growing impression of him as a serious and severe young man because in reality, he was anything but.

“If I wasn’t such a well-behaved fiancé, you and that pretty little dress would have been ruined by now.” Izaak threw his new friend a wink as he watched her hands glide curiously through the silken feel of the water. He wanted to know if she loved it as much as him, that crisp feeling that rushed past your face when you dived beneath the surface of a wave. He wanted to know if she loved the summer above all else, whether she woke up early or late, what her favourite colour was, the bands she listened to on a Sunday morning. And then Izaak realised that he really didn’t know much about her at all. “Come here and tell me what other kinds of mischief you get yourself into, I’m curious.” He offered her a charming grin and patted the space beside him once more on the stone structure, hoping that she’d come and spill the beans on all there was to know about herself.

Alianne laughed as Izaak called out to her, megaphone style with his hands. She raised one eyebrow at him. That sounded like a challenge in itself. Aly placed her hands on her hips and gave him a dubious smile. "Who says I haven't got you all figured out?" she said, before breaking out in a laugh. Her violet eyes widened slightly in surprise as he said he was a fiance. She wouldn't have thought him the type to be engaged. Aly grinned at him, humor flashing across her face. "Wait, you are a fiance?" she asked him curiously. "I wouldn't have thought you the serious, solomn type that is naturally a fiance." she said teasing him lightly. It didn't bother her, though he was handsome. After all, typically boys bored her after a short amount of time. Aly was much happier being Izaak's friend.

"Anyways, my pretty little dress is going to need a lot of help if its going to be saved." Aly said with a laugh. "No matter though, its only a dress." she said with a shrug. Her parents were well off and they had no need to worry about money. Aly had inhereted a trust fund on her last birthday that held millions in it. Material possessions had never been her most important concern. Aly flipped up onto her hands, walking around on them in a handstand. Her wet dress was tight enough that it did not fall down, clinging instead to her legs. She tucked her hand and rolled into the water, loving the feel of it washing over her. Alianne could play in water all day. She turned her head back at Izaak as she heard his request. She grinned at him, her amethyst eyes dancing wickedly. Aly had been quite the trouble maker as a child. Mischief just came naturally to her. The blonde rung her wet hair out as she jumped up to sit beside Izaak. She laughed and feinted innocence. "Now whatever makes you think I am a troublemaker?" she asked, her violet eyes wide.

With a pair of playfully narrowed azure eyes and a slow slow shake of his head, Izaak faced off Alianne’s cracks about him being a fiancé with a slip of a smile sidling onto his lips. But she wasn’t the first person to be taken by surprise by his marital status and Izaak was positive that she wouldn’t be the last. By chance if he ran into a girl he had once bedded as a teenager, a guy he had downed a bottle of firewhiskey with once at a party, a professor that had been pushed over the edge by his and Marcus’ antics in the class room; they would never have recognised him were it not for his striking blue eyes. All grown up with a beautiful and intelligent fiancée on his arms, pregnant with a baby they were excited to be expecting and all by twenty-one? Some said it was not possible and Izaak had thought so too, sworn black and blue that he’d never throw away his youth so young, never engage in early marriages or become a daddy before he was thirty. But it was possible, clearly; it was possible with Alexis Marie Richarde. So Izaak came to nod slowly in a final admittance of what seemed to shock everybody he told. “Yep, cupid got me good and hard I think.” He chuckled over at Aly, because really there was no other explanation for it. He had just found the love of his life earlier than most.

With laughter in his eyes Izaak guided them down the length of her sopping wet dress and thanked god that she seemed not to find much value in its materialism. “It’s only a dress.” He repeated with an amused nod of his head. Not only was this girl fun but she was grounded too. His school days had seen Izaak as a ladies man through and through, so he was well worn down by the complaints about ruined hair and spoilt shoes and stained dresses. Those kind of girls were always attractive, and they had always briefly captivated his interest but their whining had grown tiresome for a boy that just wanted to have a little fun and so that ship had sailed long ago. Real girls were the ones that he befriended, spent time with and proposed to now. And Alianne seemed just as real as they came. The thought made him smile, at first to himself then wide and bright up at her. Whatever had stirred him to come all the way over here, he was extremely appreciative of it, especially as he watched with wide eyes the handstand she pushed herself into. The grin spread wider over his lips and a thought flicked through his mind, for keeps – their friendship definitely was.

"Now whatever makes you think I am a troublemaker?" An eyebrow was arched in her direction, a knowing smile playing along his lips as Izaak gazed down at his friend from where she sat beside him. “Because a troublemaker knows when he sees a troublemaker.” Sure his glory days had passed, there was a certain degree of sensibility he adhered to now, he was going to be a father soon after all but Izaak was still just as fun and cheeky as he had been all those years ago. “C’mon Aly,” He smiled, pushing his shoulder against hers in encouragement of an answer, “What’s your story, it’s gotta be an interesting one.”

Alianne found it odd that Izaak was in fact engage but if it suited him then who was she to judge? She laughed at his comment, shaking her head. "I would like to see cupid try and make me settle down." she said, wiggling her toes in the water that her feet still hung down in. A grin was stretched across her beautiful face. Nope, Aly was fairly certain there wasn't a man in the world that could hold her romantic interest for more than a few months at the max. Soon, she figured out all of their secrets and they just lost her interest. Only a man truly fasinating would be able to capture her. How likely was that?

Aly looked over at Izaak as he said it took a troublemaker to know one. She laughed once more. "You know I thought there was a reason I liked you." she teased. Alianne had definitely gotten that vibe off of him when he hadn't minded that she shoved him into the shallow fountain. Her violet eyes met his bright blue ones with a wicked gleam, as if she was hiding all of her secrets. "Oh trust me. It is." she said, flashing him her white teeth as she smiled. "Well, the reason I moved here was really just to come along for the ride with Alex, my twin." she said, seeing if he realized how much damage that could cause. "He got a job as an auror and well, I had nothing better to do." she said honestly. "Alex has always been my best friend though I believe we drove our parents crazy. We weren't exactly the easiest children." she said with a sly smile. Aly and Alex had been what her mother often refered to as hellians. They were constantly into something that they shouldn't be.

"Usually, I was the creator of the ideas and Alex was the one who formed a plan to carry them out." Alianne said, reminising. "They usually got both of us spankings and timeouts for whatever it was we had done. You name it and we probably did it." she admitted, glancing back over at Izaak with a coy smile. "I used to climb up in trees and pelt objects, like nuts or berries down at people who were unfortunate enough to walk under my tree. That usually got me in trouble for a week." she said, laughing and shaking her head. It was the only interaction that she really had with people outside of her family. "Momma didn't let me go around muggles without changing the color of my eyes and I didn't like that. So, I thought of other ways to see them." Aly replied, remembering how she hated hiding part of herself around people that she just wanted to be her friends. She didn't know what else to tell Izaak as her thoughts drifted back to her past and her family. Sure, there was more she could tell him but she didn't want to just keep rambling on and on about herself.
