Alex walked the streets of New Zealand with a quiet apprehension and a semi-confused look on his face. He had only recently moved here and was still learning the area, knowing next to nothing about it so far. He had come from Australia, a place much bigger and much hotter than this area but he was finding the quietness of this particular area of New Zealand agreed with him a lot more than Melbourne had. As he walked he took mental notes if he came across something that looked cool, or an area that looked like it could hide something fun - he was fascinated by nature and everything it contained, all the secrets that often hid amongst the openness of the world. He took a seat on a particularly open patch of grass and laid back, looking up at the sky and enjoying the ambience, a smile crossing his face.

The closer Rāwhiti got to Hogwarts, the more time seemed to drag on and on. He knew he should be making the most of his last few months at home with Mum and Marama, but it was hard to focus when there was so much to look forward to, getting closer with each agonisingly slow day. Half of his possessions were covered in doodles of himself in Gryffindor Quidditch robes, between the Quidditch figurines, toy snitches, and the rack he had put on the wall ready to hold his broom when he was allowed to get one, the whole place had practically become a shrine to his future. He was enjoying the summer weather, eagerly taking advantage of the sunshine to prepare for the shining Quidditch career he knew was just around the corner. Today Rāwhiti had decided to go for a jog, enjoying the wind in his hair and imagining how it would feel when he was up in the air, the snitch in his sights. He was so distracted by his daydreams that he didn't notice a boy lying in front of him until it was too late. "Aaa!" He yelped as he tripped over the other boy's legs, landing in a heap on the ground beside him. Oof. That was going to bruise. It was probably good practice for getting hit by bludgers, though. "Sorry bro, you okay?" He asked, sitting up and looking over at the boy he had tripped over.

Alex found himself snapped out of his daydream as somebody seemed to tripped over him, "Argh!" He shouted, recoiling from the force of the other person slamming into hm and instinctively sitting up in order to see if they were okay. "You good?" He asked, a quizical expression crossing his face, his head tilted a little to the side. He was surprised that the other person hadn't noticed him, as Alex wasn't exactly tiny and was considered quite tall for his age. He shrugged it off, and grinned. "You should really watch where you're going, huh?" He stated with a air of laughter in his voice. He wasn't hurt in any way, so he didn't really care.

Rāwhiti winced at the sound of the other boy crying out, looking over at him in concern. "Yeah I'm all good, you alright?" He asked, hoping he hadn't hurt the other boy. He laughed lightly when the boy commented he should watch where he was going, nodding in agreement. "Yeah, I know aye, my bad." He smiled, brushing his knees off as he sat up straighter. "I'm Rāwhiti, what's your name?"
