It was still early enough in the semester, but Hinata was already starting to feel the pressure of NEWTs weighing upon her this year. She supposed it was to be expected, especially with the career path she had decided to take. It wouldn't be easy getting into the aurors, but Hinata was quite determined to at least give it a try. Her grades had improved dramatically in the last two years and she'd even managed to win the Duelling Tournament twice, so she sort of wanted to think she had a pretty good chance as long as she managed to get good NEWTs this year. She tried not to think of the fact that maybe her hesitation to interact or speak up or her being bad at directions would be points against her inevitable application. Perhaps there was no use worrying about it right now, but she did try to at least focus and improve on her NEWTs, particularly her Defense Against the Dark Arts and spellwork, which was why she was currently in one of the Duelling Chambers. She was facing against a training dummy - she'd really rather not have Horror around while she tried to practice some more of her nonverbal casting. She cast a silent Diffindo towards the dummy and watched it hit, frowning, however, when the cuts were deeper than she intended. She really needed to practice her control with nonverbal spells. And so she cast again. And again. Until she had to repair the dummy. And the process would be repeated.
