After having delivered her last rose, Lucia looked down at the list and gulped when she saw another one of her House prefects on the list. She didn't know why she was so nervous to approach them since they should technically always be available to help her as a first year. But she was usually too quiet to ever ask for help. But that wasn't the cast now, she just needed to go up and give them a rose. She looked around the great hall to see if she would be here or back in the common room perhaps and was glad to see the girl sitting down for lunch. "Hi Charlotte," Lucia greeted nervously. "I have a rose for you," she announced.

Charlotte smiled as she saw people getting roses in the Great Hall. It was such a lovely time of year and she couldn't wait to get one of her own. When she saw a smaller Slytherin coming towards her with a rose, she beamed and sat up straighter in her seat at the Slytherin table. She knew her name and Charlotte was a bit embarrassed that she didn't know hers back, but spoke to her nonetheless. "Hello! How are you?" she said with a friendly smile. "Who's the rose from?"

Lucia smiled and shrugged her shoulders, not expecting to have to answer any questions. "I'm good, just delivering roses," she said holding up her basket. "It's fun," she added. She pulled out a yellow rose and handed it over to Charlotte with a happy smile. When she asked who it was from, Lucia shook her head softly because she didn't check to see who it was from and said, "Here, you can see for yourself," and handed her the small card that came attached with the delivery.</FONT>

Dear Charlotte Owens,

You mean the most to me, don't ever forget that.

Your best friend, Maddie.

Charlotte was glad that the younger girl was having fun delivering roses. She would have signed up for it herself but figured that she didn't want to make herself any busier than she already was. Instead, she liked it better to just sit and watch the rose delivering unfold. Charlotte carefully took the rose from the Slytherin and smiled at the message on the card. It was Maddie, and Charlotte couldn't be more happier to have recieved a rose from her best friend. Despite everything that the pair have gone through, Charlotte was extremely pleased to still mean the most to her. "Thank you!" Charlotte exclaimed. "Did you get any roses yet?"

Lucia was glad that her first interaction with her House prefects seemed to be for good reason and not because she was in trouble or needed help. She smiled when the girl thanked her and replied, "You're welcome!" Lucia shook her head lightly when Charlotte asked if she had gotten any roses. "No, but it's okay, I'm having fun just delivering it and see others get theirs," she said softly. She did not expect any roses and she was okay with that because she was only a first year and she was still getting adjusted to the school. Perhaps next year she'd get one from a friend but this year she wasn't too worried about it, even if other first years were getting them already.
