Friends Forever, Right?

Sydney was enjoying her time off from class, as usual not wearing the uniform and just lounging on the grass with a good book. Lately she hadn't been able to do this, preoccupied with the antics of her new friends and also just enveloped in school. In all of that, it hadn't occurred to her that she had forgotten about her best friend Heidi. Though if she would've thought about it, she wouldn't have changed it. After all the awkward girl wasn't exactly in her circle of friends anymore. At the same time, she knew what her father had told her, that friends were meant to be kept close, just as a liability that they wouldn't slander your reputation. So, maybe she would see Heidi around, maybe she wouldn't. As far as Sydney cared it was up to fate.

Heidi, first week at her new school came fairly difficult as the young brunette predict it to be. With the French she had a learning to do, along with getting to know the school itself was more work than Heidi picking up a second language. It certainly was grand and beautiful, far more glamorous than Hogwarts had been to her last year. That doesn't mean she was bringing Hogwarts down all together, it simply meant Beauxbatons did really mean beautiful. Besides the school course and the French language, Heidi felt a little shy to her fellow pupils. She had founf herself wondering more alone than actually getting to know anyone.

She had thought transferring here she would be close to one of her bestest friend Sydeny. With no luck finding her the first week, Heidi simply gave up a little and focus her matters on the school assignments giving to her. On a free day did she discover the grounds and all it had to offered to the young girl. While walking, she had a book in hand too, reciting a few French words, repeating endlessly to get right. "Bonjour, comment allez-vous?" she repeated it a few times, not watching she was heading, she let her feet guide her in flat shoes, her nose stuck into the book. She wanted to get this right so right that she walk into another girl reading, falling on the ground, she landed with a thud on her bottom. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to do that!" she blush embarrassed, her eyes still not looking up because she was foolish to have walk into a sitting girl. She cowled madly, how can she forget to look where she was stepping?!?
