Magne loved the dances, he loved the occasions to go out and have some fun, the opportunities to just dance with friends and be able to just have a good time. He liked being able to just have fun. The school for all it's good things could get pretty dry when there was just not a lot of opportunities to do fun things, the lake was where Magne had the most fun, but it wasn't the best place in the school to just be hanging out, and the weather could be cold - though not currently. He was just very ready to have a good time at the dance. he had put on a nice shirt and then was moving around the room with an excited almost skip in his steps. As he moved around the room, he spotted someone familiar to him also standing alone. "Tanith!" he called out.

Tanith hadn't bothered dressing up, but she wanted to tell her elder sisters that she had at the very least made an appearance. In simple jeans and a slim sweater she'd walked down to the ball. She'd gotten a drink and had just finished it. Waiting a few more moments, she turned to leave, thinking she'd been there just long enough to count as having attended, when she heard someone call her name. She furrowed her brow, stopping and turning to see Magne. She waited to see if he would approach, giving him a small smile and a shy wave. She wasn't used to being called out in public like this. Maybe he'd just wanted to say hi and would now go on his way?

Magne smiled at Tanith before moving over to her, she didn't say anything back and didn't approach, but he didn't mind, he just was the one to do so. He walked over to her with a wide smile. "Hey!" he greeted. "You look nice," he complimented. "Wanna dance?" he then offered holding out his hand to her.

Tanith was surprised when Magne approached. She hesitated a moment, looking down at the hand he offered like it might bite her. "I... alright," She agreed, slipping her hand into his. "If you'd really like to," She gave him a shy smile. She wasn't sure why he'd ask her to dance but she wouldn't turn him down.

Magne smiled widely as she took his hand and he began moving towards where they could dance. "I'd really like to," he assured her with a fond expression. he didn't know Tanith that well but she was nice and he was more than happy to spend the time with her. "I'm not much of a dance really, so you'll have to put up with that,"

Tanith smiled shyly. "It's okay, I don't know how to dance very well, either." She told him. "At least we'll be equally bad," She tried to joke. She took a deep breath. "But then, is anyone really a good dancer? Outside of these school events, where would this even be necessary?"
