Friend Or Enemy?

Damien laughed again,he knew she knew why he was laughing/They way she had glowed when he complimented him was just comical. He could say it had meant a lot to her and for that Damien was glad.He liked making people smile, when people smiled the world was a better place and he had learned that lesson the hard way. "I think you know why"He said grinning. To think maybe fifteen minutes ago they were glaring at each other, funny how things can change. He was glad she had given him another chance.Damien hadn't had much friends at home,he hadn't exactly been social. His parents had left him, abandoned him and he still hadn't gotten over it.when he was younger he had thought how could anybody like him if his parents hadn't.Now that he had made more friends and strangely they were mostly girls which in a way worried him but he quickly dismissed it.he was starting to realize that maybe people would like him.It was a new thing for Damien, people wouldn't think him to have that frame of mind, they probably had just thought he was closed of.Lots of rumors had gone around about his abandonment none of them nice,he had learned to ignore them and the taunting off the bullies.Only two people in this school knew and it was nice not to be looked at strangely. He was a completely different person here, but some time in the future people were going to find out and hopefully Damien would have lots true friends by then. The shock was slowly subsiding and he was now only smiling.he laughed at her next comment, amazed by her lack of knowledge. "Well yes"Damien said smiling.Damien saw that she was very eager and he watched her start writing again.

Andrea's smile grew fonder when Damien laughed again. There's something about those laughs that made Andrea think he was absolutely kidding around. Andrea raised an eyebrow and continued on smiling like she was some kind of guest at a magician's show and the magician just told her she lost her ring even if she didn't. Andrea burst out laughing when Damien said she knows why and flashing her with a grin. It was just crazy to think that they were this annoyances earlier and now they were laughing with each other. Andrea really didn't knew why her beaming made Damien laughed but she can't always avoid the temptation whenever someone laughs and when she finds it really funny. "You do?" She asked sarcastically, still laughing and still raising an eyebrow. Fortunately, the librarian was four tables away from them so he cannot really hear the laughing and besides, it's not like they're laughing boisterously, it's just joyful giggles if you ask Andrea. She was halfway to finishing the paperwork now. It was just so nice to see -and feel- that there are those friends who can make your day, can make you smile and help you whenever you need help. Andrea was beginning to sense that Damien was surely going to be added into her list of friends here in Hogwarts. The shock face in Damien's face seem to fade and was replaced by a smile now. He laughed a little when he said his next reply again. Andrea didn't laughed back, though. She was just very surprised that singing is also a part of music. "Wow. I never thought of that" She said, throwing Damien and amused look. Andrea was almost done with the paperwork now, she was only five sentences away. "So, are you going to that ball?" She curiously asked.

Damien was enjoying this meeting,he was really starting to become his true self here in Hogwarts,he had never really laughed that much except sometimes with his aunt and the people he had worked with.he had never been much of a messer,he was always serious trying to be grown up and help support his aunt but now he was free of all of those burdens he felt almost light as if a huge weight had been lifted from his shoulders. It was a nice feeling and it was why he was happy most of the time and he was getting more reckless and living life more.he didn't do anything stupid ,he just wasn't living by the rules anymore ,well he did a lot of the time but he was starting to get into much more mischief. It felt nice laughing with her.Damien grinned "Of course I do"He said shrugging.he looked over and smiled when he saw that the librarian hadn't noticed that they were laughing, but to be fair they weren't laughing that hard or that loud.It was more like surpresed giggles.Friends were the people that could make you laugh even if you were having a sh1t day or if you were upset and you wouldn't talk to your family. It felt good to know that he actually had people like that now,he never had before. She was nearly finished the work and was amazed she had done it so fast.Damien smiled "What did you think it was"He asked curiously. Your voice was an instrument, one that everyone had."The Yule Ball?"He asked "Yes,with my friends Hariah"He said smiling,he hadn't seen her in ages and he was looking forward to seeing his best friend.

Laughing was one thing Andrea has never done ever since she entered Hogwarts. She had smiled and grinned and even beamed here in Hogwarts but never laugh. This was her first laugh in Hogwarts so far. Damien, clearly, was a funny person. Andrea never had a friend who is funny, they were serious most of the time. It was just great to know that she can laugh with a friend at a laughing-is-absolutely-prohibited-room without attracting some people and the most important person that should not find about their laughing at a library. Seriously, if the librarian was hearing all these laughs, they would be kicked out of the room in a blink. Damien was enjoying himself too. He was giggling as equal as Andi was. As the two were laughing, someone at their back flashed them a really dirty look and said in the nastiest voice Andrea has ever heard in her whole life "Would you two please shut up. People are concentrating you know". "Sorry" Andrea replied with a guilt-stricken look. She looked at Damien and then laughed again, but this time it wasn't what she called a giggle anymore. She was sure that the person on their back would shout at them again or maybe do a more worse thing and report them to the librarian but Andrea was just really amused about what's going on. She practically had to slow down a little and wiped the tears -caused by too much laughing- from the corners of her eyes. "If you do then tell me why" She insisted, throwing him a sarcastic but anxious look. The amusement in Andi's eyes were irrevocable. She was just really happy about this conversation. She was glad she gave Damien a chance. And because Andrea was sure Damien was her friend now, she asked "So, what do I call you know?", raising one of her eyebrows, "I mean, do you have a nickname whatsoever or do you just go by the name Damien?". When Andrea gets close to people -take friends for example-, she wants to call them by their nickname. Going back to the music subject, Andrea said, shrugging "Well, I thought it was just one of those things people do to be amused" in reply of Damien asking her what she thought singing was. She really hadn't thought of singing being a part of music so she was kind of startled at first. "Hariah? As in Hariah Meadow?" Andrea asked, consciously and amusingly. Hariah Meadow is Andrea's first and only girl best friend and she's also her roommate too.

Damien liked laughing it always made you feel ten times better and it was even better when she were doing it with someone because it's just kind of creepy when you start laughing to yourself, not that Damien had ever done that before.Damien had a feeling that if they didn't stop they would soon be kicked out,he could see some people looking up at them.He remembered one time when his aunt had made him go to mass and it was one of those rare occasions when he had a friends who made him laugh and during a seriously silent part of mass they had both burst out laughing.Everyone had turned and looked at he, but they couldn't stop so his aunt had to discreetly walk them out.It was kind of one of those moments right now. When someone glared and gave out to them Damien glared back "You could ask a bit nicely"Damien whispered. He knew the person was totally in the right but he didn't like being glared at like that. His bad mod floated away when he looked at Andrea and laughed again.he knew Andrea was going to be a good friend.their laughing was much louder and he could feel people staring daggers into their backs. He smiled when he saw her wiping the tears away.He himself was close to it. "Okay so"He said, grinning. He was enjoying this game.Damien was momentarily confused, wasn't she going to call him Damien, she then explained herself and Damien looked down at his hands. He had never had a nickname his friends hadn't called him anything but Damien and neither had his aunt "I don't have one"He said sheepishly,he was a small bit embarrassed . "What about you?"He asked taking the attention off hi. "Well its is,for some people singing is their job and you can have a lot of fun doing it"He said smiling,it would hopefully be his job when he was older.Damien was surprised when she knew Hariah but then it was obvious, they were in the same year and house the were bound to know each other "I'm guessing from that tone you know her too"Damien said smiling. "Are you nearly done?"He asked eager to get away from the glares of the other students.

Andrea felt the dirty looks glued on her and Damien. She knows they have to stop laughing sooner. People were starting complaining and glaring at them. Damien was uncomfortable by this "warning" the person had given the two of them so he glared and whispered back. After he'd finish his sentence, the person, fortunately, leaned back her chair and shut her mouth. Andrea smirked when she saw this, though. She looked at Damien and said "Nice job" and gave him a thumbs up and then went back to laughing. It looked pretty weird and annoying to laugh non-stop at a library when all the people around you are so quiet and the only noise they are making is by flipping a page of the book they're reading or putting the book back in the cases. But now, that's wasn't the only noise people would hear in the library, Damien and Andrea's laughing were being a little obvious now, they just hoped no one would mind them and no one would report them to the librarian or their Head Of House. Andrea leaned her head out to look for the librarian, her eyes were exploring the room and then she saw the librarian. He was a few tables away from the two. Andrea, then sighed in relief. "What?" Andrea asked, laughing. She really didn't know what Damien meant but all she could think about now was how to stop herself from laughing and maybe snorting. Andrea continued wiping the tears coming out of her eyes from the back of her hands. "You don't? Are you sure?" Andrea curiously asked. Almost everyone she knows has a nickname. "Well, I go by Andi. But if you're uncomfortable with that, you can call me by my name Andrea." She explained. Andrea raised an eyebrow when Damien said singing can be people's job. "Singing can be a job?" She asked, sounding as if someone had told her basketball isn't a sport. Andrea really doesn't mind sounding like the most idiot person ever because she's very interested in knowing more about music. "I know her, she's my best friend and also my new roommate. Anyway, so are you guys going as date or something?" She asked. Hariah never asked her or brought up the topic about Yule Ball and Andi's very glad about that. She hates gowns, make-up and shoes with heels. Andrea was almost done now. Three sentences to go. "Yes. I 'm almost....-" Andrea said, writing fast "-..Yep. I'm done", she added with a huge smile. "There ya go" she said, giving Damien his pen and paperwork.

Damien could feel all the glares but frankly he didn't care. It's not like a few people laughing quitely is going to put you off.He nearly always has to study in the common room with everyone talking and laughing more louder then he and Andrea.Damien smirked when the girl leaned back an kept her mouth shut.Damien felt a strange sense of satisfaction.he looked over at Andrea and smiled at her thumbs up,God he wouldn't be able to stop laughing when she was it was to infectious her laugh.Damien liked that though, that meant she could always make anyone laugh no matter how tough times were.He noticed lots more people were tsking and sighing under their breaths.Damien was starting to feel guilty now, maybe they are a little too loud. But his train of thought was stopped by another burst of laughter. Her could feel the tears at the side of his eyes.he had never laughed this much since talking with Hariah and he had never laughed this much before in his life.Ever.She probably had know idea how much she was changing in his life, nor did any of the other people who were friends with him.they actually made him feel wanted,he had always felt abandoned if his parents hadn't wanted him why would anyone else? This was changing now Andrea obviously wouldn't be laughing this much if she didn't like him,it was the same with Hariah and all the other people who he had made friends with.Damien shook his head "Nothing"He said his grin widening. It fell a bit when she asked her question "I'm sure"He said more quitely. He had never had any close friends who would of made nicknames for him,his aunt didn't seem like that sort of person. He liked her nickname though,it suited her "That's a nice nickname,I think I'l call you by that"He said smiling.Damien laughed again "Yes,there are many people who make millions of dollars from singing"He said shaking his head.Mostly they got their money for being celebrities not their singing ability. There were people who were decent singers but there were a lot of people who were much better, but just didn't get the chance.Damien looked at her for a few seconds,he hoped other people hadn't the same idea.It had never occured to him that people might actually say she was her date. "No,just as friends"he said after a brief silence. He watched as she finished. When she gave back the paper Damien was relieved when he could actually read it,it was very good writing and Damien felt the pang of jealously again "Thank you so much"He said smiling and giving her a hug.He usually wasn't the hugging type of person but he really was greatful for what she had done, she had just saved him another hour and half of work. "Okay,so singing time"He said smiling before packing up his bag and heading outside the library into the hallway were he would sing for her.

Andrea was completely ignoring all the dirty looks and whispers that the people in the library were catapulting them. Whatever, she said, not out loud though since she was still busy laughing like there's no tomorrow. She just said in under her breath, that's all. It was weird laughing so long. Andrea would normally just laugh and then smile and then shuts her mouth up. This one though, was clearly out of the usual laughter expectation. Tears continued on pouring down on her eyes in the same hysterical laughing way. The laughter changed from giggles to hysterical laughter as time passes by. It's clearly not they're fault why they're laughing like hyenas that suddenly lost their minds. Well, no one can really blame the people who were glaring at the two Gryffindors since their laughter were somehow unacceptable especially on a place like this. The two didn't seem to mind. They were so concentrating about their laughter that they didn't notice the librarian coming back to his counter. As Andrea wiped the tears from her eyes, she looked around the room to observe what was happening. She couldn't do the job properly though since she was still giggling. "Damien, we got to stop laughing. The librarian's coming this way" She whisper-yelled. She stop laughing as the librarian look they're way and pretend to be concentrating on the paperwork. After he passed, Andrea looked back into her shoulders to see where the librarian was headed and he was going right into the last row of bookcase. The librarian's current direction was far from the table the Gryffindors were occupying so Andrea breathed a huge air of relief. "He's gone" She said, with a sigh of relief. She looked at Damien in the eye to see what he was thinking about that but then the hysterical laughs came flooding again. Their laughter cycle goes this way: laugh, stop, laugh, laugh, laugh, stop and laugh. That would be pretty annoying for other people but the Gryffindors day were just full of laughter and yet no one could blame them. Andrea raised an eyebrow when Damien said nothing. "Tell me. I know it's not nothing" Andrea demanded. She really hates it if someone is keeping a secret from her, especially if it's a funny one. "Well, if you don't have a nickname I could make one for ya" Andrea, said grinning, She hadn't made a nickname about someone before. This was her first time so she was very happy. She thought deeply, attempting to find a good nickname for Damien. "I'll call you.....D! Yeah D. D for Damien. Is that fine with you?" She asked, happily. Not to mention adding a beam again. "Thanks" She said, smiling when Damien said her nickname was a nice one. Andrea nodded when Damien said people can make millions just by singing. She was very surprised. She didn't know singing is more than a hobby. She didn't know it was and actual job. When Damien said he was going with Hariah the thought of them going on as a date hit Andrea. A huge grin curled up from her face when she thought about that. Gosh, I didn't know Hariah already has a date for Yule Ball, she thought in her head. I am very happy for her, she thought again. The grin, however faded when Damien said they were only going as friends. "Just as friends or.....?" Andrea replied, with one of her secretive smiles. She always keeps secrets to herself. Whether it's funny or something incredulously mean. No one can dig up that information though, except when she really trusts that person. "No problem" was Andrea's simple reply when Damien thanked her for the paperwork. He hugged Andrea and Andrea hugged him back which was a bit awkward since it was Andi's first time to hug a boy who was out of their family and especially a boy her own age. Andrea's happy grin came out from the corners of her mouth again when Damien said it was singing time. She could hardly wait to hear Damien sing. She snatched her bag and followed Damien outside the Library.

Damien knew their laughing was above normal levels. The tears had now started to fall,he could see one or two people trying not to laugh as well. There was also a few people grinning and smiling, those were the people Damien would like to be friends with not the people that were glaring at them and sighing into their books. The exams were over for gods sake.what were they studying?Damien couldn't wait for the Yule Ball tonight,he had never actually gone to one before, his aunt had bought him an expensive looking suit and shoes that he loved and would wear for the next year.Damien knew they sounded mad, what could make them laugh so much when a few minutes ago they looked like they were about to kill each other.People would be talking about them for while.Out of the corner of his eye he could see the librarian looking at them his face frowning but he was laughing so much it didn't actually register in his mind to shut up.he heard Andrea's warning and he quickly shut up and looked down at his books as if he was studying. The librarian obviously didn't have good hearing if he only heard them now and for that Damien was grateful.Damien watched the librarian discreetly and when he walked away from his table he looked over at Andrea and put his thumbs up. When the librarian had disappeared Damien let out breath he looked at Andrea again and he knew what was coming. They burst out laughing and he could see the exasperated looks on some of the other students face. The two of them were unbelievable it was like a circle laugh, stop, laugh, stop this would continue until they started doing something else.He became serious again when Andrea talked again. It wasn't really that important what he was going to say but he decided he would say it anyway "Well the way you positively beamed when I complemented you was quite funny"He said grinning. There he had said,it wasn't that funny but he had found it amusing at the time.It wasn't every day you saw a girl who used a wide range of vocabulary when she was angry positively beam when you complemented her.Damien perked up a bit.He would love to have a nickname for him it would kind of make them officially good friends. He watched her contemplate,he hoped it would be something good.Damien laughed he loved it,it was sort but brilliant "It's great I love it"He said earnestly. She probably didn't know how much it meant for him to have a nickname,he was finally starting to feel like he belonged.Damien raised an eyebrow when she beamed again,it was just so totally unexpected,he thought it was cute though.Damien didn't like the grin forming on her face,he knew she was thinking of something very sly. "What's with the scary grin?"he asked pretending to be scared. Damien couldn't help the blush of course they were just going friends he would never think of Hariah as anything but a friend but they way she said it made it sound so...sinister. "Yes,just as friends"He said before packing up and leaving for the library. He heard her footsteps following him. There was a bench in the hallway so he went over threw his bag on the floor and sat down on the bench "Okay so I'm going to sing a song called Dance with you by Olly Murs"He said.It was a good catchy tune.It obviously didn't sound as good without the music but he sang the whole song none the less. When he was finished he smiled "So that's what singing is"he said wondering what she would think.

It was definitely the time to stop laughing and to get back to seriousness. Andrea felt pain in her stomach now but not from hungriness that she felt the last time she experience aching in the stomach but because of the boisterous laughter that were taking place between her and Damien. Even though others might find Andi and Damien's reasoning a lame one since beaming when complimented always happens to people who likes being complimented. Despite all the dirty looks and the backstabbing that other people were currently doing, Andrea felt glad to know other people laughing and smiling as well even if they were doing that on account that they were amused of the Gryffindors' boisterous laughs. Every man kind sure are unique. The Yule Ball topic isn't really what Andrea wants to discuss but the thought just occur to her so she tried and gave it a try. She was praying, of course, that Damien won't ask her anything about it such as who she's going and stuff like that since finding an answer would truly cause Andrea loads of headaches since she's not the smartest person in the world. All of this Yule Ball thing never would have entered Andrea's mind until Angie brought the topic up. She practically begged Andi to come with her even if Andi doesn't want to and when Andi lost her temper, she accidentally shouted at her which caused her tears and Andrea didn't have any single choice but to come with her. Yep, it sure was rotten for Andi but she's guessing Angie couldn't know any better. And all of the make-up, dresses, shoes and especially boys just made Andrea want to throw up every time she thinks about it. Andrea raised an eyebrow when Damien said her beaming was quite funny. She pretended to be irritated by this comment but pretending sure is hard for her that she burst out laughing again. "Uh huh" She said, sarcastically. Damien looked like he wanted to laugh at his comment since a grin was pasted on his face. The nickname thing just popped out of Andi's head so she wasn't in her normal self back then but Damien seemed to like the nickname Andrea made for him which is D so maybe Andi was in her own self. Well, partly because the laughing hadn't been a role model to her either. "Thanks, D" Andrea said in between giggles. Andrea's beam faded when Damien raised an eyebrow. The thought of him thinking Andi's beaming scared him made Andrea frown. "Is there something stuck in my teeth?" She asked curiously. Andrea nodded once more when Damien said his previous statement. Andrea wasn't really convinced but she knew she had to let it go since dirty minds aren't really a good thing. Andrea sat beside Damien and listened as he sing. He had an amazing voice. One that Andrea hadn't heard of yet. When Damien finished, Andrea said "You are very talented! I love your voice!" accompanied by a huge grin and an amused look.

Damien knew that they should be stopping,if he was here and people were laughing he would be a small bit annoyed but he would still find it kind of funny and he certainly wouldn't say anything. He was now laughing so much that there was a pain in his stomach which he had never felt before. It was weird yet good.It was like a hunger pang going through his stomach and usually when he felt them it wasn't good but this time it was different ,he was enjoying it and luckily he didn't need to go to the bathroom or else they could have a big problem.it felt good that other people were laughing and smiling as well at least some people had a sense of humor.Andi didn't seem like the type of person who went to the Yule Ball he had to say he was looking forward to seeing her in a dress."So what are you wearing?"He asked grinning,he knew she wouldn't like this question but he just had to ask.Damien laughed again when she did,God they were terrible the two of them,if one laughed the other followed. When she said his name he had to say he liked it,it had a nice ring to it "No bother Andi"he said grinning using her nickname.Damien shook his head "No"He said noticing her beam fade.Damien couldn't help the blush that came to his cheeks. He was never really complemented for his music. He knew he was good but it was nice to be complemented every once in a while. "Thanks"He said quitely "Why don't you give it a go?"He asked raising his eyebrows.

"We should stop laughing now, D" Andrea informed Damien, looking a bit serious. She was pretending to, since the pain that her stomach was currently feeling hasn't made her too happy about it. Andrea folded her robes and reached out her right hand to poke her stomach gently. Not because it was hungry or anything but because of the boisterous laughs Andrea and Damien had been doing for the past minutes -or seconds. Andrea isn't really the type of person to pretend for something so after a few seconds or so she burst into giggles again. If only Andrea and Damien were alone in this room. Maybe they could laugh all they want. Andrea sighed at the thought of this. The Yule Ball topic were making the stomach thing worse. Every time Andi thinks about it, her stomach hurls like she's going to throw up. Damien looked as if he was pretty confident about the topic. He even asked Andrea what she's going to wear and adding a grin. "Well, I'm going to wear this '60's dress sewn by my mother. It's red and I look like a complete stupid person in it" She lamely replied. At least this conversation's better than the other one Andrea and Angie had. Damien and Andi weren't talking about make-up, shoes and boys like Angie and Andi had even though Andi's nature was completely against it. Andrea let out a a huge happy grin when Damien said her nickname for the first time. She loves it when people she knows, calls her by her nickname -and compliments her. Andrea nodded when Damien said no. Andrea smiled in awe when Damien thanked her for her compliment. Damien had a unique and soothing voice and his sing matches the rest of his voice too. The happy smile across Andrea's face vanished when Damien his previous comment. "Give what a go?" Andrea nervously asked.

Damien smiled,he liked being called D he thought it suited him.he knew they should stop laughing but that didn't mean he could actually stop,it was almost an uncontrolable laugh, his stomach was really starting to get painful and the tears were running down his face.He tried taking deep breaths but he couldn't stop.If only they were alone they could laugh to their hearts content instead they had to start laughing in a place where you weren't aloud talk let a lone laugh. He wasn't sure whether he would be welcomed here again to be honest he didn't even care he couldn't read anyways and he did prefer to do is homework in the common room where it was much warmer and comfy.Damien had no idea what a dress in the sixties would look like and he had no idea about girls fashion anyways."I'm sure you don't"He said reassuringly.she so didn't want to go to the Yule Ball and he wondered what her friend had done to convince her. "Maybe we could meet up there?"He asked if she was good friends with Hariah he was sure Hariah wouldn't mind.He could see she liked being called by her nickname,he liked her nickname,he certainly wouldn't of thought of D for him.Damien grinned when her smiled vanish of course she didn't have to do it if she didn't want to he wouldn't pressure her into doing it "Singing, even a few notes or a nursery rhyme"He suggested leaning against the wall.

Andrea isn't really sure if she could successfully stop laughing. It's not everyday you can laugh whenever you want with a complete stranger that was your enemy at first but now, one of your closest friends. The ticklish laugh was still stuck on Andi's tummy, along with the pain, of course. Andrea let go of her stomach and blown the brown hair that were covering her eyes. Andrea despise her hair. She hates it's color and it's texture. She prefer blonde. She was planning on dying her hair and cutting it short so that it would feel much comfortable when she's playing basketball. Andrea rolled her eyes at the thought of this. Most people like Andrea. They always say she's this adorable and sweet girl. Andrea, however, thinks the opposite. Her enemies seem to agree to that too. "People are always naive, just because I'm small and I always wear ribbons in my hair and I'm brunette doesn't mean I'm all that adorable" was always Andrea's reaction whenever she hears "adorable" comments about her. She doesn't blurt it out, though. She just keeps it to herself. "You'll change your mind if you see me wearing it live" She muttered. Andrea hates the dress she is going to wear. Not that she judges her mother's sewing, she just doesn't look nice in it. "Sure. I could introduce my....uh, companion to you. I'm not sure Hariah has met her though. But I'll warn you. She is really..." Andrea said, looking Damien straight in the eye. "-...girly" She finished and started laughing again. Andrea bit her lip. "Uh,......I...I...I don't know how to sing" Andrea said, looking completely embarrassed. True, she hadn't sang any song yet but she doesn't plan to since she knows she has a nasty voice.

Damien didn't think he would ever be able to laugh this much again,it simply hurt too much and he didn't like the sense of losing control. His face was wet with the tears that had come streaming down his face.Never before had he ever laughed as much,he would remember this day for a long time.It was strange that he could be laughing so much with a person who had just annoyed you for no reason and was now one of his closest friends.Fate works in weird ways and he had a feeling his life was starting to look up.Damien smiled when she blow her hair out of her face.Damien had to do that sometimes when his hair grew too long. His aunt hated his hair long so he usually got it cut every few weeks,he didn't really care though. He liked his hair what ever way it was.Damien laughed "We'll see"He said playfully.he was looking forward to it.He just couldn't picture her in a dress but he was sure she would be lovely.Damien raised his eyebrows. "I see"He said nodding and understanding he didn't see how Andi could be friends with someone girly.Again he just couldn't picture it.Damien shook his head "Of course you can,why don't you copy the notes I sing"He suggested

At last Andrea got controlled of herself and stopped laughing hysterically. Well, sure the little giggles were still there but that's a lot better than the hysterical laughter caused by so little hilarious things. Seriously, if only Andrea was in one of her moody moods, Damien surely be intimidated. But Andrea really don't want him to so maybe the happy mood is perfectly fine, except for all the dirty looks that they hysterical laughs were causing. The blowing caused nothing to Andrea's hair. Her hair was still stuck on her face, Andrea raised her hand and removed the hair that was blocking her face. She set it aside on the side of her ear and sighed annoyingly. She really hates it when her hair doesn't get moved by her blowing. "Sure" Andrea said sarcastically. She really don't think Damien would see her wearing the dress because she is sure she wouldn't be caught dead wearing it and if she would, it would probably caused by embarrassment. Andrea nodded when Damien said his previous comment. Angie is really girly. Not that Andrea has a problem with it, she isn't really that girly girl. "I'm not a girly girl, am I?" Andrea asked Damien just to be sure even though she knew exactly what Damien would say. "Um. Copy the notes? What do you mean?" Andrea asked, sounding like the dumbest person there is.

Thankfully Andi controlled her laughing so Damien was able to as well. There was the occasionly giggle but it was nice finally being able to breath properly. His cheeks were flushed from laughing and his throat felt raw.It was going to take a while to recover from this,he made a mental note never to come here with Andi again it would just end ind disaster and he was sure people wouldn't be as nice next time and he didn't really blame them, they shouldn't of been laughing like this but something you just can't help doing. He laughed again more quitely this time because the librarian was looking at them suspiciously."I'm sure it won't be that bad"He said,he would have to wear a suit which he wasn't looking forward to,he had asked his aunt not to get one with a tie because he hated them.,He could barely wear the school one it was never done up properly always messy looking. The same went for his shirt, jumper and hair.Damien just wasn't a uniform type guy.He preferred his own clothes which he would wear much better. "I have to wear a suit"He said the resentment clear in his voice. To be fair it wasn't that bad and he liked the shoes but he knew it just wasn't going to enjoy wearing it.Damien scoffed "No"He said she certainly was not a girly girl.A girly girl would be hating going to the Yule Ball and she certainly wouldn't of challenged him at the beginning. "Sorry I forgot"He said shaking his head "Notes is what I sing, like the music so if I say copy the notes that means copy the noise that comes out of my mouth"He said wondering would she understand

Andrea was glad she stopped laughing. The room was quieter and her stomach hurt less. Damien stopped laughing too, as well and eventually it made things a lot better since if Damien kept of laughing, Andi was sure she'd go back to her previous action sooner or later. Andrea breathed in and out. She felt like she was having asthma or something from too much breathing. In Andrea's point of view, she looks like a barbie that was thrown into a garbage and was found years later with this ugly face and this horrible dress if she wore the dress. She thinks it's bad enough she has to wear at least a bit make-up and a dress with a real live out of the uniform skirt. Angie already painted her nails red, which matches the rest of her dress. Her hair was going to be tied up in a ribbon also. Andrea shrugged and rubbed her nails in her hands. She had no choice but to let Angie paint her nails since she owes Angie much for making her cry. "It will." Andrea insisted. Andrea rolled her eyes when the thought of her coming to the Great Hall wearing her hideous dress (no offense to her mother, though) is like this huge nightmare. "Well, I think wearing a suit is nice. You'll look....more descent, I'm assuming. And suits are like totally cool." Andrea said, looking at Damien from head to toe. "At least you don't have to wear make-up or mess with your hair since it sticks up from your scalp perfectly. It's bad enough my "companion" has to paint my nails red" she added, stretching her hand for Damien to see and then rolling her eyes. Andrea stared at Damien for a few seconds and then said "Thanks" and took his word as this huge compliment. "Err...I really don't know how to sing. I'm sure if I'll sing, my voice would probably crack the glass of my watch" She said, blushing. Of course, Andrea hadn't sang at least a song, she hates her pitchy voice and with her Australian accent, she's sure her music would be worse than what she expected.

Damien couldn't talk properly, his throat was raw from all his laughing. He wouldn't be able to talk properly for the next few days.. "Just Great"he said under his breath, but it came out loud because he couldn't whisper with his voice. Her smiled,he had never laughed s much that he had actually damage his throat maybe he shouldn't laugh so much next time or he wouldn't be able to sing.he hoped his throat would be okay for the Yule Ball.He would kill himself it it was because it would be letting a lot of people down.Damien had no idea what they were supposed to do at the Yule Ball he guessed there would be dancing but what else would they do?Damien raised his eyebrow "And what do you mean by decent?"he asked grinning. He probably will look much better but he knew his hair wouldn't obey him it would just say in it's usual messy self. His hair was going to long his aunt would bring him for a haircut the minute he got home.He liked it like this but she wouldn't listen to him.Damien nodded he did have to agree with that,he would just find that a pain "Well you can always not wear any"He suggested,he knew nothing about make up or anything like that.Damien laughed at her nails but regretted it because his throat still hadn't recovered. He smiled "No bother"He said rubbing his neck with his hand in an attempt to make his throat feel better. Damien make a dismissive gesture "I will be the judge of that but luckily for you I can't sing because of my throat but next time I will get you to sing"he said the determination clear in his voice.

Andrea didn't understand what Damien said. Great? What's great? Does he mean the laughing?, Andrea thought. Still, she wanted to know why Damien said his "great" comment. She wanted to know what he's referring too. "What's great, D?" She asked, curiously. Obviously, he looked like he didn't want to say what he said and that he just accidentally blurt the words out. After the laughing, Damien's voice sounded more of a husky tone than his normal little boyish one. "And what's wrong with your voice?" She asked, raising both of her eyebrows. Andrea knew that when she first walks in the Great Hall she would make an absurdly annoying embarrassment over herself but if not it will probably happen sooner or later. Andrea acts like a total idiot whenever she's uncomfortable at things. "Well, you know, that you'll look more....neat, I guess. I really don't know the exact word for it but I guess "neat" still works." Andrea explained. Damien indeed look neat. Not those usual boys she meets along the streets back in Sydney where they wear really think clothes and carries skateboards and stuff like that, Damien here looks nothing like that. He looks very neat like the son of the president or something like that. Not that he's geeky or anything, he just looks very fresh and innocent. "I can but I won't. I really don't want my "companion" crying because I don't want to go to the Yule Ball with her. She'd done that once and I don't want her to do it twice" Andrea said, shrugging. "I get your gist" Andrea said, nodding sarcastically over Damien. She definitely agrees with him. Andrea already has plans on removing the nail polish when the Yule Ball ends. Not that she doesn't like it (which she obviously does) but because she isn't comfortable with it. Maybe someday she can give Angie a piece of her mind but just not now. Andrea just smiled when Damien said his reply. "Oh really?" Andrea said, in a sarcastic way. "I'll practice for you, then" Andrea said, with a smile.

"The fact I barely have a voice"He said coughing a bit. What ever way he laughed obviously put strain on his throat.Pity he hadn't been able to find that out sooner or he wouldn't of,well tried not to of laughed that much a few minutes ago.He guessed he learned his lesson though he doubted he would laugh that much again any time soon.He liked the nickname it was short and sweet.Damien laughed but it then turned into a fit of coughing "Laughed too much"He said more quietly watching his voice. He hoped this would go away or else he was fecked.Hariah would kill him and he would probably kill himself first.Damien smiled, nice to know he looked "neat". "Thanks"he said grinning,he had never called himself neat before. He guessed the only part of him that wasn't messy was his hair other then that he was pretty okay.Great she had got him thinking how neat he was.Her friend cried? She really needed to toughen up if she wanted to get anywhere in the world "Well she must really be a girly girl if she cried over that"He said jokingly. He didn't know how Andrea was friends with this girl,Damien would find that annoying but everyone had flaws.Damien shrugged he didn't get why girls wore make up anyway.Damien was bout to laugh but stopped himself before he went into another fit of coughing"I'll hold you to that"He said grinning

Andrea frowned. Damien's voice indeed changed and Andrea knows exactly why it did. "Oh. Well, I guess that's from too much laughing" Andrea replied. She really hadn't meant to make Damien laugh. If she knew that Damien has a sensitive throat she wouldn't have gone that far from laughing. Next time they meet again, Andi would make sure not to make Damien laugh that much. "You should drink a tea made from ginger. It would lessen the pain -if ever you are feeling one- and your voice will go back to normal sooner or later" Andrea suggested. Her voice always crack whens she gets frustrated whenever her teammates are losing points in a basketball game because she always shouts at them. Andrea made a tsk-tsk-tsk noise -when Damien said his voice cracked from laughing too much- and shook her head. Andrea grinned back when Damien thanked her. Damien indeed look neat and that's one of his points. The Angie topic was now pouring in Andi and Damien's conversation. "She is." Andrea insisted that Angie was a girly girl. Andrea really did not want to talk about Angie behind her back. It's not like they're saying bad things about her. "But, I now know that that's her personality. I guess I just have to put up with it. It's clearly my fault that she cried since I accidentally shouted at her. I really didn't meant to, my mind was just throbbing about the Yule Ball thing and I really don't want to go but boom! She cried and I didn't have a choice" Andrea thoroughly explained. Noticing that Damien laughed but then stopped Andrea shook her head. "You must refrain from laughing until your voice comes back to normal."She suggested. "A smile or maybe a grin would still work" Andrea added, with a smile. She smiled once more when Damien said his previous comment.

Damien nodded and tried to clear his throat which just ended in him spluttering for another few minutes.Who knew this could happen?Damien certainly hadn't and he wished he had known before he had laughed.Well now he knew he couldn't laugh that much or he would end up like this or maybe his throat just wasn't used to so much laughing."Thanks"he said committing the recipe to memory,he would ask the elves fto make him one when he left here.Damien felt complemented that she had called him "Neat",even when Chloe had struggled to buy clothes for him she had always made sure he looked neat and tidy,he guessed it had rubbed off on him.Damien knew he wouldn't really be able to hang around Andi's friend, but then again he hadn't met her so maybe his views might change one he had.Damien was quick to judge which was never a good quality in someone regarding people. He could make very bad assumptions about people that could be completely untrue but then again he had a knack of reading people which helped a lot in some situations.Damien considered that "Well, she is in for a big shock about life if she cried just became you just suddenly yelled at her"Damien said,he felt a bit bad about talking about her behind her back,he wouldn't say anything else as he was feeling more guilty."Your right, but I just can't help it"He said grinning

Andrea just shook his head while Damien tried to recover his voice. She knew that his voice won't go back to normal until he drink that ginger tea Andrea had suggested earlier. "No problem" Andrea casually said when Damien thanked her. She loved helping people especially if they deserved to. Damien, here is very nice and is very talented. Hopefully, the ginger would make his voice more nicer if not turn it back to normal. The neat compliment was definitely true. Damien was indeed one. Andrea on the other hand is a bit messy. When she's alone, she just leaves her hair hanging with brushing it and dresses whatever she grabs in her closet even if it is his brother's shirt. Andrea is eleven months older than her younger brother so clothes really aren't a problem. "Well, I don't know. Maybe she was just intimidated or something. Plus, I think she was kinda startled." Andrea explained. Angie had just burst into tears when Andrea yelled at her. She was guessing Angie is intimidated about her or something. Though, Angie was starting to show her "side effect" which Andrea doesn't really agree with. If she used her "side effect" on Andrea, Andrea will definitely have no choice but to break her nasal cartilage. "Tell me about it" Andrea said sarcastically, while rolling her eyes.

Damien didn't like his throat being in pain.It meant he couldn't do three of the things he liked best singing, talking and laughing. He and Andi would have a permanent record with the librarian. He could feel the suspicious looks on his back.Damien had a feeling he wouldn't be returning here any time soon.Maybe let there little laughing spectecal die down a bit.Damien didn't really mind,he like the common room anyways. He would probably be able to return after the holidays anyways.Damien looked at his watch and gaped at the time. They had been here for hours it was almost dinner time, and he had come here in the morning.Well time flies when your having fun,he guessed. He had managed to make another good friends, which was a big thing for Damien who hadn't had much friends.Damien nodded, that probably was the reason. "Well you are rather good at being intimidating"He said sarcastically, but he meant it as a complement. It was nice to see a bit of fire in someone,it made things all the more interesting. He didn't thing Andrea got mad that much, she looked like a little angel, which of course was a lie and maybe a tad bit annoying. "Now,now is that sarcasam I hear"He asked grinning
