Isabella was loving her time at Hogwarts. The whole experience had been better than she could have ever hoped for. Even in her second year here there was still so much to learn and discover. But it was all so much more fun with friends and people who truly care about you. People she met only when she came to the area near Hogwarts, people like her. Today was a free day and feeling a itch on her finger's Bella made her way to the room she had found full of instruments. It was away from the popular part of the castle and was perfect to let her creative juices flow. It made Bella smile just seeing the dusty old baby grand sitting just as she had left it the last time she was here. This was a place where she could let her guard down and get lost in the music and it was a great stress reliever during her time here at school.

Wiping the bench down before sitting on it Isabella took the time to inhale the musty smell, it was nice in a weird way. She smoothed her skirt down behind her as she sat. Finding the pedals and letting her fingers tickle the ivories for a second before she she really got started made Bella glad she had made the decision to come here today. She started playing Do You Believe in Magic, the Aly&Aj version and sang a bit to it. It was one of her favorite songs and it was one she liked to use to ease into more complicated pieces. Stopping before she finished the long Isabella picked up the pace and started into a composition of her own, it was fast and uplifting, there were words to it too but she didn't sing. She just let herself move with the music, shutting her eyes and blocking everything out. She was oblivious to the outside world at least for now.

The second semester was quite interesting for Alliyah Jane. Everything was normal, which meant there were the ups and downs. The ups were few and the other was countless. Countless things on academics and her social life. Alliyah felt that she needed to dwell on the downs first, and make them an urgent priority. She was missing out some homeworks and notes, and she wanted to borrow some from her roommates in case some quiz would pop out in the upcoming lessons. Quizzes were something she hated studying for, even though she rarely forgot them. It was a nagging sensation in her mind, that kept her guilty if ever she did not make a move to read at least a page of the syllabus. Her classes were particularly boring too, and they did not really spark her interest in the subjects. For now it was only History of Magic that seemed to bother her, but Professor Spencer was nice enough for her not to dislike because he did not really pick on students. But with a good looking professor, it did not change the fact that Alliyah was trying to struggle with history. The records, dates and characters of the past were confusing, and she tried to remember them in her blonde head. She sometimes successfully do and sometimes would not as well. Those were the downs that were in her mind right now, and Alliyah suppressed the urge to nibble on her lower lip to match her nervousness.

The ups however, lightened up her mood for some time. Even with the bubbly personality of the blonde, she could not keep the sadness and worry that filled her up whenever she would think about things that were her "main priority." Alliyah wanted to keep her social life alive and bright and even in the age of thirteen, she was still the adorable blonde that her whole family and friends were used to seeing. Alliyah came to love how her personality worked, since she found it unique and interesting to play with. Her happiness was contagious, and most people found it lovely. Alliyah was a lady of style and cheerfulness, and it was rare that she cried in front of the public. She hated crying and dwelling on the bad things to was a no-no for her. Grudgingly, she stood up from her bed and made her way to get out from the common room. The place was tiring her eyesight and she thought that a change of atmosphere was night. Gryffindors were on the couches, busy with their own matters. Alliyah sighed and exited the room and thought of a place where she can practice some the new charms and spells she learned.

The corridors were not as noisy as she expected, but she could still hear a few murmurs from other people. Some were laughing quietly, but no boisterous laughter was emitted from the students around. Alliyah smoothed her girly attire down to get the invisible creases out. And as she did it, Alliyah supported examined the pair of shoes that were on her feet and she was pleased it somehow looked good to match her dress. With her hair tied up into a messy bun, she thought that her appearance was pleasant to the eye already. Alliyah walked to a place where she thought was isolated and was pleased to see that the fourth floor was not really filled with people. A few birds chirped from the windows and it made her smile subtly. The doors to the famous classroom in Hogwarts were soon in front of her, and she smiled, knowing that it would be the best place to practice some of the charms that she was eager to use as a second year. As soon as she opened the door, a soft melody was being played. Curiosity killed the cat, but Alliyah still stepped in discreetly. As the sound played, she finally made out the figure of the person playing the music on a piano. It was Bella, one of the people who intrigued Alliyah. Both girls were almost alike in thinking, and Alliyah was always interested to be a good friend of Bella. "You play brilliantly!" Alliyah blurted out immediately, her English accent blending in. When she realized this, a pink hue appeared on her creamy coloured cheeks. She just hoped that she did not mean to make Bella jump off her skin. "Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you. How have you been?"

Isabella didn't quite jump when Alliyah walked into the room but she knew her eyes flew open and she must have looked pretty shocked for a moment. Seeing who it was Isabella smiled instantly. "Ally!" She hadn't seen her friend in quite a while. Things a school could become overwhelming, they had talked about that the last time they saw each other and how they both had their hobbies to escape. Blushing a bit at her compliment Bella smiled, "Thanks, you didn't scare me too bad." She laughed, "I've been really good I love it here." She said making a large gesture to the room around them. "Not just here but you know the school in general. But this place is perfect to practice." She grinned at Ally. She had been meaning to try and seek her out to spend some time with her, but know she wouldn't have to. Bella had always thought if they spent a little more time together the two girls would become great friends. They were so similar and really understood things in the same way. It made being yourself and having a blast that much simpler.

Bella stood up and walked a bit closer to Ally, "What about you? How have you been? You look fabulous!" Bella said noticing her outfit which really was very pretty. Bella knew a clothes pretty well because of her brother Neiko. He had pounded in her head what was good to were since she could walk so it was like second nature to her. Bella had always had more of a easygoing look, it looked like she had just throw something on most of the time but it really looked good in the end. That was the brilliance of it. But all the white and lace really suited Ally it made her look very innocent and beautiful. Sure it was a little different but that was usually a good thing in Bella's opinion. Bella's outfit today was kind of corny being as she dressed in music themed things to come play the piano, but she didn't care it had felt right when she put in on.

The nickname that Alliyah adored flew out of Isabella's lips, and this made the Gryffindor beam at the Ravenclaw. They were friends, and Alliyah always greeted her friends with a huge beam on her lips, except for depressing times which occurred unusually. Things between the two ladies were doing great, even though their encounters with one other were very seldom. Alliyah appreciated whoever god made them come together, since meeting Bella was something exciting for the Gryffindor. Even if some would say that she was shallow for some happiness. It was great meeting the pretty blonde, and both of them mirrored one another perfectly. When it came to interests and disinterests, both seemed to be a photocopy of the other. Alliyah smiled and laughed, thankful to know that her sudden statement did not affect Bella's serene mood. "I've never really been here. It looks so quiet and sad." Alliyah mumbled as she looked at the direction of Bella's hands that were gesturing all throughout the room. The abandoned classroom was always looked isolated, and Alliyah only passed it whenever she needed to attend class. The room did not match her personality as a bubbly and lively person.

"Thank you very much! I've been well. You know, still digging up photography." Alliyah grinned widely at this, and she felt the need of going back to the dorm just to get her camera and show the pictures she took. Muggle photography sufficed her boredom and it soon became a hobby of hers ever since she indulged herself in such information about the muggles. Alliyah walked closer to the piano, expecting Bella to follow her lead to the shiny instrument. The keys still looked good to play with, and they were ivory white. It was strange to see a piano in an abandoned classroom but Alliyah wanted to learn more about the instrument. She was never musical in her life, since she only yearned to know more about muggle technology. Wizarding folk also had instruments, and she was never really into the music genres of the magical world. "How old were you when you started playing this?" Alliyah asked, with an impressive touch to her facial expression. She ran a finger through three keys, admiring its soft texture and ivory like color. Her soft fingers finally rested on a key, and she pressed it slowly which produced a low pitched sound from the instrument. Grinning softly, she faced up and looked at the other blonde once more.
