History: Ford was born in Ireland to Colleen O'Niel and Xavier Harkonnen, whom were soon married after his birth. However, his father ran off when he was about three years of age, leaving Ford and his mother alone. The reasons for his sudden disappearance remain unknown to Ford. Colleen worked for the Irish government and eventually became a low level ambassador. For five years, Ford and his mother traveled around the world. He spent two years in China before moving briefly to the Ukraine and finally to the newly Central African Democratic State. Ford enjoyed a very high level of living, enjoying the lifestyle that befitted the family of a state official.
However, in the summer of 2013, civil war broke out in CADS. Although the fighting originated in the jungles where rebel headquarters were located, the country's army was eventually pushed back by a series of defeats and forced to hole itself up in the capital. For two months, the city was laid to siege until the rebels broke through and fighting erupted all around. Eventually, the embassy was attacked and Ford's mother was killed in the attack. Ford then went to live with his closest known relative: his aunt Elena in Australia.
Elena was sister to Ford's father, but she had not heard from him since his disappearance. She was a rather unpleasant woman, being locked in her house from a collection of crippling illnesses. Thus Ford led a relatively introspective and isolated few years in Astralia until he received his letter for Hogwarts New Zealand.
