Kimmyeon had known from the start that she wanted to be a writer. She knew there was so much power to be hand when you're the one writing the words. People would take in anything you wrote, and the young Slytherin couldn't help but go looking for an opportunity so perfect. As Kimmyeon made her way through the fifth floor corridor, she thought about the articles she could write. She'd already made notes on scenes she'd seen around the school, and she just loved the reactions of those as they read stories about themselves. They just seemed to care so much about what others thought of them.

Kimmyeon walked up to the Hogwarts Monthly office door, pausing a moment to regain her confidence. She was known for being incredibly secluded, and so social interactions weren't her best talent. Raising a closed hand to the door, she knocked hard. She had no idea who ran the school newspaper, and it could be professors for all she knew. In her left hand she had some of the stories she'd already collected, regarding other students business that she'd overheard. Knowledge is power, she reminded herself.

Ellie was possibly in the best mood of her life so far. Since becoming a werewolf things had gone from bad to worse, but today, she was actually smiling, a rarity for her. To be honest, the Hogwarts Monthly was Ellie's life now. When she was behind those pages, she could see what was going into them. She felt safe behind the quill as opposed to in front of it. This year things were going to be a bit different for the monthly though as she was making some changes to the way it worked, not to mention the way that the paper it self was set out. Sage did a great job, but every editor brought something new to the paper and she wanted to continue that tradition. Ellie stood up and was about to place her article in the basket when she suddenly heard a knock on the office door. Normally she kept it open, but it must have closed at some point without her notice.

Ellie opened the door and saw what appeared to be a first year at the door. She raised an eyebrow, but smiled slightly and opened the door wider to allow access to the young girl. It wasn't too hot today, which was a good thing as she was wrapped up in her robes again, as she always was to hide her scars. "Hello. I'm Ellie, the editor here. Come on in." She walked over to one of the desks, as she had never actually assigned any desks to anyone, and sat on the top. She could see that the girl was carrying some paper, perhaps an article? Was she looking to be put on the team perhaps? "Is that an article?" She asked pointing to it.

As the door in front of her opened, she was somewhat taken aback to see just a student, a little elder and taller than herself. She was beckoned in, and Kimmyeon walked through into the bright and busy office. She observed, wide-eyed, the large numbers of papers and articles that surrounded the shelves, before admiring the desks that sat in the center. As Ellie introduced herself, it occurred to her that this was in fact her first interaction with a student here. Of course she'd met other students, but only behind the safety of her notebook. "Hi" she pronounced shortly, continuing to move to the desk, placing her tatters of notebook on the table in front of this girl.

What had her mother taught her about introducing yourself? Honesty - Probably nothing. Her mother was far too busy with herself to teach Kimmyeon and her siblings anything useful. Plus she had grown up in South Korea; Who knew if traditions were the same in New Zealand? Kimmyeon paused for a minute, unsure of herself, before she gave a little head bow and pulled back to stand tall. "My name is Kimmyeon." She didn't like to give away her surname so quickly. She didn't know if these student would know who she was related too, and if she was going to be inconspicuous at school she didn't want other students to prejudge her. Luckily the attention turned to the article that now lay on the desk beside them. "Yes, it is. I thought I would give the Hogwarts Monthly a few demo pieces of mine." Writing was something Kimmyeon had always wanted to do, and as she adjusted her stance within her high black boots, she was confident one way or anything she would become a journalist.
