Félix hadn’t been back at Beauxbatons for months, longer even since he’d graduated years ago by now, well, two or three, he’d lost count. But he’d been asked back to help with some preparations for a new flying professor and he was happy to help. He wasn’t sure why him exactly, but he’d always gotten on quite well with the Head of the school, so he wasn’t all that surprised, they knew he was reliable and good at what he did. The school looked almost exactly the same as when he’d last been here, and the polished stones of the corridors, reflected the light really well. He had always adored how the school looked in the day time, it looked nice at night too, how could it not in the open French countryside, but it looked particularly good in the day, he thought.

He adjusted his broom slung over one shoulder and scanned the gathered crowd for a familiar face. The students were all likely wondering why there was a famous quidditch player in the school, but they would find out soon enough. He spotted his sister immediately - Zoe, with her unmistakable half up half down slightly messy hair and the exasperated “you’re embarrassing me” look on her face. He laughed, and then grinned, because somethings definitely don’t change. “Salut, petite sœur,” he called out, waving lazily with two fingers. “Miss me yet?”

*Hello little sister

When her fellow students had started fawning that there was a famous Quidditch player in the school, Zoé really should have known better than to expect anything good. Because when she was faced with her older brother, broom slung over his shoulder as he walked the halls of Beauxbatons as if he owned the place, all she had felt was bitter, bitter disappointment. Ew. Why people would fawn over him, she would never understand. He was ugly. And barely any good on a broom. She was convinced that he only got in because nobody else tried for the position. Yep. Classic sibling basically. "S'en aller Félix," she said with as much exasperation as her tone could convey. Why was he even here? She was supposed to have a solid three years without his presence in the school, and it had been going quite well. She preferred using her brother's unfortunate fame without the addition of his tiresome presence, thank you very much. And it had been effective. "Does maman know you're here?" It would be so annoying if they did because that meant they didn't even bother to warn her that a global calamity would be approaching.

*Go away Félix
