Ellie stepped out the castle and walked over the lawn till she arrived at the Quidditch pitch. She had not been flying since the incident a few days ago, and she missed it! She was used to flying everyday.
Looking over the pitch and up at the sky, Ellie bit her lip, tears forming in her eyes, she blinked, trying to stop them for spilling over, she wanted to be brave today. Looking round the pitch again she felt scared of it, she had nerly died after falling from her broom!
Tears began to roll down Ellie's cheeks, but she wiped them away and forbid more from falling, she desperately wanted to fly!
Placing her Scarlet Streak on the ground, she held her hand over it and said "Up" as clearly and strongly as she could. The broom came straight up to her hand and she clasped her hand around it firmly, she had made the command too strong, it seemed, as it shot a pain through her hand. She didnt really notice though as she was busy keeping her fear at bay!
Still fighting to keep her tears from falling she flung her leg around her broom, a little woobely, and perched atop of it. Taking a deep breath she pushed off firmly from the ground and went spiralling towards the clouds. With a small wail Ellie dipped again and went lower, she didnt want to go high, maybe another day, but at the moment she just wanted to get rid of the fear of flying she had felt ever since the incident!
After a few laps Ellie felt like she always did when flying, she loved it again!
It was weird, only a half hour after she had been too scared to even get on her broom! It wasnt her brooms or flying fault though the incident, it was hers for being stupid and she had always known that, she had just been scared of the pitch, the size of it hit her right then and she was suddenly staring around her like mad, grasping hold of her broom handle, she felt paralised as thoughts of her falling through the air flew through her mind. Tears started to fall from Ellie's eyes and she felt like she couldnt move! She didnt understand what was going on with her lately!
