Since arriving at Hogwarts Tabitha really hadn't talked to anyone except her rat Henry. In fact she hadn't really talked to anyone besides Henry, and her mom since she had gotten into a fight with her muggle friends over the summer. They said that shewwan't being a good friend by being gone all the time. Tabitha had blown up at them because they thought that she was at a private school with a scholarship. Did they really think she should give up the only chance to go to a good school? They didn't understand. Their family's had enough money that school would never be an issue for them.

Tabitha decided not to dwell on it. If they wanted to be like that they could. She was at Hogwarts. She had magic. They would never know all the amazing things she had learned in only 2 years. In fact Tabitha decided she would do one of her favourite magical things, and go for a fly. Once she got down to the quidditch pitch Tabitha took a deep breath of the crisp spring air before mounting her broom, and taking off. She zoomed around the pitch a few times before slowing down, and flying high over the pitch. Tabitha took both hands off her broom, and held them out like she was actually flying. For the first time in a while Tabitha felt like her old self.

There was no better feeling than returning to Hogwarts, it was the place that Skye felt most at home. More specifically she felt most at home on the Quidditch pitch flying a broom. After a quick breakfast she headed down to the Quidditch pitch carrying her broom over her shoulder. With designs of trying out for the Quidditch team again Skye needed the extra practice, and a morning fly always put her mind at ease for the day ahead. The grounds were quiet as most of the student population was at breakfast so Skye didn't see a soul on her way down to the pitch which was just as she liked it.

As she emerged out onto the pitch she noticed that unlike most times she did not have the pitch to herself. There was a girl flying around above her, from where she was she couldn't make out who it was, so out of curiosity more than anything Skye mounted her broom and took to the air. During her ascend she saw the strangest thing, the girl took her hands off he broom and held them out to her side as she was flying. Skye had never seen anything like it.

Tabitha opened her eyes just in time to see another girl had joined her on the pitch. Tabitha quickly returned her hands to the handle of her broom. She had seen this girl around the common room. Wasn't she just a year above her? Tabitha decided that if they were going to be sharing the pitch they may as well introduce themselves. Especially if they were in the same house. Tabitha zoomed towards the girl, and gave her a friendly smile. "Hi, I'm Tabitha! You're in Gryffindor right? So am I." She introduced herself. It felt good to be talking to someone who wasn't a professor, or her mom. "Are you practicing for quidditch?" she asked. Tabitha had gone to all the quidditch games her first year, and loved the sport, but it just wasn't as fun to watch when she never got to play. So of course she wasn't sure what the current teams were.
