First Tour of the Grounds

Violet shrugged. "It's just what I'm used to. I was brought up as a muggle," she explained. "My mum's a witch, but she never told me." To this day, she still considered it to be extremely odd that her mother had never told her that she was a witch. What amazed her more was how Grandfather had kept it a secret. "I must admit, I haven't listened to any of that," she added. "My brother's the musical savant. I missed most of the musical skills," she admitted, not too sad. She figured that whatever higher power was up there had delt her a good hand regardless of musical talent. "Food? Oh my goodness, do not get me started on food!" she laughed. "I love food too much for my own good. Anything with chocolate, especially." Violet blushed. Her mother had put her on a 'good eating' plan over the last holidays. It had worked fairly well, she looked a lot better for it, but she was still partial to all sweets and junk food. Then again, she was a teenage girl, how could she not be? "Classes," she added, thoughtfully. "Do you have a favourite class?" she asked, feeling extremely nerdy for asking such a question - then again, Aries was a Ravenclaw, and Ravenclaws were intellectuals. Surely he wouldn't mind.

Aries had to smile, the girl was breathtaking to the extreme. She had a quirky sense of humour and was not afraid to natter away as if they had known each other all their lives. He liked that and began to feel even more comfortable in her presence.
"Chocolate is always good, even when you mix it up with something as horrible as beetroot" he laughed remembering a cake his mother had read in a muggle cook book and had made, much to all of their surprise it had turned out edible.
"Favourite class huh? Let me see, I do enjoy charms and the old History of Magic, transfiguration is always interesting and Divination is just hilarious. I guess Charms and herbology would be high up there for me. What about you?"

"Chocolate and beetroot?" Violet spluttered, appalled at the thought of that combination. "Hmm, that's not something I'd be exactly willing to try...even with the presence of chocolate!" She laughed at that - Violet hated beetroot. Her father insisted that beetroot was good, and every time they made hamburgers, he would try to talk her in to having beetroot. Violet always refused.
"Ooh, Divination. I haven't had that yet...I'm intrigued and also apprehensive about it," she admitted, having heard from many that it was a rather amusing subject. "Charms is good. So's Arithmancy. I'd have to say Transfiguration is my favourite subject, though," she decided. "Why? I'm not quite sure. I just like it," she explained, with a small smile, which widened when she looked at Aries. There's lots of things that I can't explain, she thought, amused. I think this might be one of those wonderful, confusing moments.
