Even though the Gryffindor was bummed that she hadn't figured out that it was him who had sent her the rose, Thaddeus was happy that he would meet her in the Great Hall any second now. The boy had been looking forward to going to the dance with her all week, and now that it was actually happening, he couldn't stop being excited. As Thaddeus waited for Clementine to arrive, he quickly fixed his messy hair and smoothed his jacket.

Although Clementine was a little disappointed that the rose she had received hadn't been from Teddy, she was still happy to be his date to the Valentine's Dance. If Teddy only liked her as a friend she would have to push her feelings for him aside because she just wanted to have fun. This was the second school event where she would have a date thanks to him so she didn't want to ruin the dynamic they had by hinting towards any feelings. Once Clementine had finished getting ready, she walked down to the Great Hall where she would be meeting him. She smiled as soon as she spotted him and skipped over to him happily. "Hey you!" she said excitedly, feeling the anticipation of the night already. "You look very nice," she said appreciatively, noticing he was wearing a jacket and approving.

Thaddeus' heart started to pound fast when he saw his date. He smiled when she approached him. Clementine looked absolutely beautiful in the dress she was wearing, and could not stop thinking that he was the luckiest boy in the school for having the girl as his date to the dance. ''Thank you,'' he said with a slight blush on his cheeks, ''You look very nice as well.'' Because Thaddeus was so excited, he held out his arm for her to take it so they could check the rest of the Great Hall out.

Clementine smiled and said, "Thank you!" when Teddy complimented her, trying not to get too excited by the thought. She slipped her arm through his so he led them into the great hall. While the Yule Ball was usually so magnificent and gleaming, the Valentine's Dance looked a little more casual and fun with pink and red hearts everywhere. "It looks like cupid threw up everywhere," she laughed even though she didn't mind it. "Care for a dance?"

Thaddeus smiled when Clementine took his arm and led her the into Great Hall. Just like with Yule Ball, seeing how pretty the Great Hall looked with all the decorations, the Gryffindor regretted not going last year. He nodded at her comment and almost immediately turned away from the room when she asked if he wanted to dance. ''I would love to,'' Thaddeus replied, leading them towards the dance floor.

Clementine smiled as Teddy agreed to dance and resisted the urge to skip towards the dance floor as he led them instead. Once they found a clearing amongst the crowd she turned to him and began to dance, bopping her head to the music. "Oh guess what! I entered the dueling tournament last month and I won my duel!" she said happily, grabbing his shoulders and jumping up and down for a moment. "I wasn't going to but then I figured since I practiced all those spells on you, why not right?" she giggled. "It was a pretty long duel, but I was finally able to disarm her, which was pretty cool" she rambled. Clementine liked that she hadn't hurt her partner after all and had won by simply taking the girl's wand. Then the Hufflepuff laughed a little in embarassment at how fast she had been talking and then said, "Sorry...How was your break?" She felt bad for talking about herself and not even asking Teddy anything.
