Asa Romanes found himself almost lost within the third corridor, with hands stuck into his pockets on his robes and his head hung a little low. He almost wished that he had his relatives here with him. He didn't know what he had to do in other to succeed. He didn't want to be like the other siblings he had. Isabella Dragonov was a workaholic. She was infamous for her will for Quidditch, and how she kept kicking people off of the team. Or something like that. He heard a lot of tales. Ostensia loved everything and everyone, but that was not Asa. He was definitely someone else. He preferred to be someone that wasn't like his siblings, but there seemed to be a big variety, which was why they were sorted into different houses. Asa became a Slytherin, through unknown reasons. Asa wondered if he could find out one day. Shrugging, he continued to walk through the corridors until he almost hit a wall. Dead end. Well, that went nowhere.

He rolled his eyes before he turned around and started to walk in another direction. He had to find his way out of here and toward the Slytherin house once more. He did not have anything else to lose. He looked down at his shoes as he walked back the way he came. He bit his lip, wondering if there would be something more to this mini trip of his. Perhaps he would have an epiphany. It would be nice. He could find out who he was deep within, but as soon as he looked up, he found another dead end. Well, one thing was for sure, he was definitely not someone that was very good with directions. He was someone who could get lost, fairly easily. He shook his head and crossed his arms, wondering where he needed to go.

Keye Hayes preferred rather quiet places. No, in fact, she would rather have noisy places on the farthest side of the world where she wouldn't dare go, that way she wouldn't have to suffer having her ears popping because of every bothersome thing. It was not that she hated company, she didn't mind at all having a person here and there every now and then. Though that would be only if they did not bother her or did not speak to her sixty to seventy percent of the time as she really valued silence because of her everlasting hobby of reading. Sadly for her though, she had failed to find anyone who shared the same sentiment she did towards silence and that led her to be a rather secluded child within the large castle known as her school. She didn't mind in the least though, it was no change from her rather peaceful time at home within the confines of the library, just that the library here wasn't as quiet as the one at home. In fact it was rather deafening with the noise and so the Huflepuff had spent a couple of days and weeks searching the castle for quiet places. And she was quite proud to say that she had found some.

And so, today, with a book and notebook in hand, the young Hufflepuff walked swiftly through the hallways of the castle. A few minutes ago, she had been lazing around the common room, peacefully reading her book and writing within her notebook. That was until her housemates had begun to fill the once peaceful room which caused her to be rather uncomfortable with the growing noise around her. And so, after she had pocketed her pen, she had gone out of the common room and went down the stairs to the third floor. If she had recalled, there was a rather silent corridor within the said floor which she could stay in for a few hours. No one wandered there after all because it would reach a dead end, so she had frequently stayed there, much to her content. Just as she had rounded a corner though, she had come face to face with a boy her age so suddenly that it made her produce a small squeak of surprise. She vaguely recognized him from her classes, though she couldn't quite place her finger on which one exactly. Though she lingered for a moment as to ponder which class they shared together.

A small squeak in his direction caused Asa to break from his thoughts over his current status within the school. He had a lot to think about, but as he turned his head to see the owner of such a high pitch squeak, his eyes washed over a girl his age with red hair. Looking over her clothing, he noticed that she was definitely not in his house, but in the house of Hufflepuff. His sister, Ostensia, was once in that house and she spoke highly of the house. Everyone was so nice and loyal, except a certain few. He couldn't imagine who they were though. Asa pulled his hands out of his pockets before he said in a soft, quiet tone, "Hey." He didn't even know how to converse with people nowadays. This was just pathetic. What was worse was that his Italian accent was heavily laced around that single syllable. The man he lived with was full-blooded Italian, and so was he. His uncle was someone who could influence those with just his look alone. Someone so powerful, cruel and cold, someone that Asa did not want to be. Unless, that was what the hat saw deep within him...

"Are you lost too?" asked Asa as he calmly stuck his hands into his pockets. He was somewhat lost, and he didn't really know how he got here. He had a habit of thinking and walking, and forgetting his destination. It would likely lead him into a world of trouble if he did that and ended up in Bleak Street. That would be terrifying. Then again, he could just mention what family he came from, the Cardosi, and they would leave him alone. That left him wondering where he came from. Why would someone else be lost as well? Asa figured that others beside him would know the castle by now. He barely got out and around. It was disappointing. He smiled slightly toward the girl, almost as if he were saying that he might have been a Slytherin, according to his robes, he was not someone that would do cruel actions. Some of his peers would, but he was one of those that just did not really care. He cared a little bit about his classes, but it really depended on which class though.

Keye was not very used to be in the presence of people her age. Well, there was Ellie and Tommy but they were older than her. Not socializing much would be an understatement for the young Huflepuff. In fact, she had done nothing but remain silent and read her books. In all her time in Hogwarts, she had not made a single friend, enemy or even acquaintance or on a name-to-name basis. Really, all she did was attend her classes and even in going to her club, she preferred to remain silent as she was merely part of Club Academia for the books and pleasure of reading. Nothing else. It didn't help as well that the sentiment of silence was very important to her and large groups were nothing of the sort that she wanted to be with. And so, now that she was graced with the presence of another human being, a boy no less, that was slightly close to her, she took a step back and studied his features as she merely acknowledge his greeting with a nod and a small smile of her own.

The redhead took her time to study the boy in front of her. Well, she was not up much for seeing boys this close seeing as she paid more attention to her books than the male population, though perhaps he was not ill-looking nor he had ill intentions. With a slight to herself that she was already staring shamelessly, she mumbled a small, "Sorry," that she was sure would be enough for the other boy to hear. Keye merely held her notebooks tighter as she shook her head at the question asked. Deciding that there was the need to elaborate otherwise she'd be thought rude, the Hufflepuff raised a hand and pointed towards the corridor where she knew would meet a dead end. "Down the hall. It's really quiet," she told him as she brought her hand back to holding her notebook. The young girl studied the boy again and wondered why he was here. She still didn't know his house nor his name, but she doubted he was one to be an outcast like she is. Then it occurred to her. He asked if she was lost too! How could she be so stupid? "Do you want me to show you the way to the main corridors?" she asked softly with a small smile. Well, she was a Hufflepuff, and it was not like she could just leave him alone when she had already seen him. As long as, she could read after this, then perhaps she would have no qualms about this little detour that she might be having should he agree.

Asa could feel that burning feeling as none other than the girl was staring at him. He wondered if there was something wrong with the way he looked, but she seemed to be studying him more than anything else. Asa felt that she might be trying to figure out where she might have recognized him from. That had to be the case. He didn't think he was overly handsome or ugly, so it couldn't be his looks. She apologized for what he assumed over staring. He looked down as he smiled shyly. "That's okay." He didn't know what was okay about it, but Asa shook his head. He was way too inclusive for his own good. However, it was nothing really he could handle. He was not one to speak that much, and he preferred to be on his own. It helped him find out who he was, and hopefully not a copy of his siblings. Then again, his uncle continually tried to beat in some prejudice into his head. It was not working as of yet, but how long can one fight a powerful, influential uncle?

When she mentioned that down the hall, it was quiet, a confused expression washed over his face. Maybe she was explaining that she was heading down there to study. He was not sure, but all he knew was that he was lost in his thoughts, and he became lost. He decided to wait to figure it out, before she asked if he wanted her to show him the way to the main corridors. "If you don't mind, actually." Asa reached around and scratched the back of his head. He didn't know the girl's name, but figured that she was one of the Hufflepuffs that hung around this area. Asa slowly walked toward her but stopped for a moment, as he took a note of his surroundings, just in case he wanted to come back to find some alone time. "I'm Asa Romanes, a Slytherin." A soft smile crept along his lips, and it was unnatural on him. But he rarely smiled though. It meant a lot that someone was going to show him some kindness to help him out of here. He let out a sigh before he explained, "I got lost because I was kind of thinking too much. I guess I got a little sidetracked." That was slightly embarrassing to admit to someone he just met.
