Fifth Years, Lesson Six

full

James had been tempted to just post a notice on the door of his classroom to instruct the students to go and study elsewhere but he wanted to at least see his charges before he set them off to study, it was their last lesson after all and he wouldn't have much course to see most of them until they returned to his classroom for their sixth year, assuming they passed their O.W.L of course. The door remained open as the students made their way in and settled in their seats, James suspected once he gave them a choice many of them wouldn't stay so closing the door was pointless. "I'll be brief, today is your final lesson with me until you take your exams at the end of the year, I want to thank you all for the work you've put in this semester, I'm sure you've all enjoyed it as much as I have, or at least didn't make you long for Divination. You can consider this lesson a free period to continue your exam prep, feel free to study here or somewhere else more comfortable, if you stay here I ask you to keep talking to a minimum as to not disturb each other, otherwise good luck and I'll see you next semester for your exam,"

Assignment: RP the lesson. Attendance post is fine for full marks.

Kyousuke had a feeling they'd be having a revision lesson. He wasn't mistaken either. Kyousuke settled in, knowing that the library was busy this time of year, and began to revise. He spent the time deep in concentration, knowing it was wise to make the most out of the time he had. When the lesson finished, he was surprised time had gone by so quickly. He packed up his things and left.

Morrie arrived for class and took her seat. She listened to Professor Cade's farewell, then packed up and left the classroom for a free period. She didn't see the point of studying for exams that were still months away.

It was finally the last week of classes and Violet was very excited. She hoped that the last week would be full of the professors running out of things to teach them and simply just letting them go over old material. She packed her belongings into her backpack and headed to her next class. As she entered the Defence Against The Dark Arts classroom, she smirked as the professor was simply giving them time to study and review for their OWL exams. Violet spent the lesson going over all of her notes, as the professor lectured them more than allowed them to do any practical work. As the class came to an end, Violet promptly headed to her next class.

Apolline walked into the defence against the dark arts room and took her usual spot in the class. She looked up at the professor as the man got started on what they would be doing, though it wasn’t a surprise to her, she knew that they wouldn’t be doing anything too indepth. She took her books out and began studying, going over all they’d learnt in the semester before heading out of the room when the class was ended.

Ugh, Aroha was sick of revision lessons. They weren't even doing exams yet, so what was the point? Aroha didn't really study for anything until the week before so it seemed especially pointless to her. Nevertheless, she got out her notes and went over them, sighing dramatically at irregular intervals. She needed to get her point across somehow that this was a bit over the top. Class ended after what felt like forever, Aroha putting her notes away and setting off to do anything but study.

The last week. Thank God! Ever was so looking forward to some time off. Even better, she didn't have her exams until the end of the year. Very soon she would be free to focus on more desirable tasks. Not more sitting in useless classrooms in an attempt to just get through this school year. Soon she would be at her sowing machine for hours on end, sketching to her hearts content, wearing actual clothing again. It all was something to look forward to.

Ever entered the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom for the final lesson of the year. She took her seat in the front row, setting her bag on her lap. She doubted even more than she would need anything today. The last lesson was mostly a joke for most classes. The blonde girl looked up at the professor as he gave some 'heartfelt' speech about having them as students. Ever could understand why she was so amazing, but she wasn't sure she would miss this class over break. She needed a break from it in fact.

The lesson was not a long one and she was soon free to leave. She didn't want to waste her time' studying' in the classroom. Ever swung her bag over her shoulder and left the room to do something better with her time.
