Another day had arrived, of which Tony once again found himself with very little to do. Practising the spells he had learnt, or read about, could only occupy so much boredom. Sat upon his bed, the young wizard stoked Peaches across the top of her head; whilst she sat curled into the quilt; purring softly. He had often seen a few muggle movies with villains holding white cats, and became rather tempted to change the colour of her fur. Looking through one of the windows in the dormitory, the young boy watched a single cloud pass through the medium-blue skies. With-out any lessons to go to, Tony physically felt the minutes tick by. Not wishing to sit in his room any longer, the young boy hoisted Peaches onto the floor; and climbed from the bed. Taking another walk through the castle had to hold something of interest.

Due to his in-ability to balance on anything for long periods, Tony often carried his wand in his hand; as anywhere else came with a risk of snapping the custom designed wood when he inevitably fell. The wand also gave him a better feeling when he had a-hold of it, with the woods and its core calming him. Having reached the second floor on his wander through the overly-large castle, the young wizard slowed his pace; with Peaches once more pattering along side him. Having his cat at the school with his allowed the young boy to keep some sort of sense about everything. Taking care of her gave him something to do each day; but mostly, he loved her too much to simply leave her at home.

Pausing, Tony turned his attention to one of the portraits on the wall. If only it was possible to climb through them himself, he could leave the school for a while; finding something much more entertaining to do. Watching as the wizard in the picture attempted to pull clown faces, Tony simply ignored him. His face held nothing resembling emotions. Wondering what he would do once the holidays arrived, and when he was finally allowed to leave the walls for a few months, the young Ravenclaw paid no mind to what Peaches was up to.

Alexandra was wandering the halls, bored as ever, itching for some action. She had her wand in her left hand, and was feeling particularly mischievous today. When she heard the gentle purring, a smirk grew upon her tan-skinned face. She raised her wand, and scanned through the list of jinxes and curses she could use on the cat through her head. As though she were spinning a wheel of spells, she stopped on one, and sped up her pace. She was approaching a corner, the cat was just around it, and based off the expressions of some of the portraits, they knew what she was up to. She was about ten feet away from the corner when the cat came into view. raising her left arm, she cast the conjunctivitis curse on the cat.

Alex watched with malicious glee as the cat hissed and screeched as it was blinded, and its sight was affected terribly. The cat walked into a wall, and Alex cackled. The portrait right above the cat was one of a young couple in love, sitting in an apple tree. The young girl in the photo jumped off the tree, and started crying for the cat, and the boy went through the portraits and started yelling at Alex. "Shut up, stupid boy!" She exclaimed to the boy in the portrait. She walked a bit closer, and began to feel a little bad for the cat as it moaned and whined a little.

It was almost a sound over-looked by the young first year. The sound of a cat suffering. It took several seconds to link the sounds to an animal, and not some other first-years running around; or some joke product screeching as it whizzed through the corridors. Turning his head slightly, Tony practically ignored any commotion that was occurring. The fact that he had a pet cat of his own never crossed his mind. Many other cats in the castle often hissed at students as they passed, which was often something the young wizard thought about changing once he learnt enough about Transfiguration. Turning the animals into stone would put a stop to the racket.

Turning fully, deciding to continue his walk through the castle, Tony's eyes fell upon the creature making noise; as it walked into a wall. The sound of laughter ran across his ears, before everything became silent. The blood rushed through his body, forcing its way upwards. The young boy had recognised the animal in pain. A portrait on the wall continued to cry out, telling everyone it could what the cackling girl had performed. Before he had any time to think, Tony shot his arm forward; his wand gripped tightly between his palm and fingers. "Stupefy!". Within seconds, a jet of red light erupted from the tip of his wand. He had very little intention of speaking to the still laughing girl, as his voice echoed from the walls. Tony was out for blood. Having successfully learnt the stunning spell during the Dark Arts lessons, the young Ravenclaw knew this girl wasn't getting up.

The poor kitty.

Alex laughed a bit more at the cats' misery, and didn't pay attention to anything around her. She snorted as the girl in the portrait ran over the other way from her lover, and started yelling, repeating waht she had done. Ignoring that, she moved a little closer to the cat, starting to feel more guilty, and sad for it. She had her wand down, so she raised it and was ready to reverse the spell. She didn't notice the younger boy appear from the other side of the corridor, until the bright red spell was sent shot her way. She screamed, and collapsed. She was never good at duels. Potion-making was her area of expertise.

Today seemed like an ordinary day, and the tall professor was walking down the hall with black robes fluttering about his body. However, something seemed wrong. Strange sounds were made, and he heard a girl shout. This would have been normal but when Kalif glanced down at a first year use Stupefy upon an older student. Tony Alraur and Alexandra Johansen. It was odd to see a first year do this, and the curse on the cat did not occur to Kalif at first. Arms folded across his chest, and he spoke, black eyes glaring down at Tony, "What is the meaning of this absurd assault, Mr. Alraur?" It was evident that this man wasn't pleased by the look in his eyes, but the expression remained blank.

Crossing over to the Slytherin, Kalif pulled out his wand and reversed the spell cast, so Alexandra could awaken. Kalif glanced down at the whining cat, and he raised an eyebrow. Waving his wand at it, the curse was lifted. At least it won't make that god-awful sound anymore. Kalif folded his arms across his chest, his form towering over them both. This was one of the professors who not many liked, and if they did, it was rare in itself. Kalif was expecting explanations, from either the Slytherin or the Ravenclaw. As long as they spoke in non-ridiculous tones, then they would be blessed with just a sentence to their Head of Houses.

Alexandra came back to consciousness, staring right into the face of Professor Styx. For a moment, she thought she was still headed towards the cat, but she heard it meowing as though it were fine, then it all seemed like a dream. Getting herself together, she got up off her backside, and brushed herself off. Accusingly, she glared at the younger boy, in Ravenclaw he was. She wouldn't soon forget it.

She had a serious look on her face, and she turned her attention to the Herbology Professor. "Well, Professor. You may be wondering what is going on here, which is something I don't even understand." Alex began. "I was walking down the corridor, I can't quite recall where I was headed, but I heard a cat meowing. Loving animals, I walk to wards the cat, and this first year shoots a spell at me. I dodged it, and shot a spell back, but missed and hit the cat. Next thing I know, is a shot of red light coming my way, then this." She said, convincingly. Now, whether or not the professor would believe her was another story.

Hearing her screams as she fell to the floor gave the Ravenclaw everything he needed. His spell had made contact. With his eyes filled with rage; his adrenaline began to surge. Stepping forward, Tony intended to inflict further damage. The sound of Peaches wailing no longer had any affect on him; he simply zoned it out. It was then a voice struck his ears. Pausing, the young wizard glanced towards the owner. The boy's lungs skipped a breath. Professor Styx, one of the few professors Tony truly paid any attention to, stood; arms folded; and severely displeased. Not answering the man, Tony turned his gaze back towards the girl; before focusing upon his cat, still crying loudly.

Staring at his pet suffering in discomfort, the young wizard watched as his Herbology professor revived the girl; and then Peaches. It hadn't occurred to him to do the same. Seeing the posture of the man before him caused Tony's heart to continue beating. His earlier actions still flooding his mind. Knowing the professor was still looking for answers, the Ravenclaw felt it honourable to tell him the truth. At least he would have, if the girl he had struck hadn't opened her own mouth. Tony listened as she began to grovel. The girl was lying to save herself. This act alone meant she was worth nothing. There was no respect for her. And she would pay for it along with everyone else.

Fixing his hate filled eyes upon her, the young boy gripped his wand tightly. His mind was calm; and his thoughts where clear. He could hit her again before she even realised what day it was. Choosing now not to answer the professor, the young Ravenclaw knew he would be in trouble regardless.

Kalif glanced over at the Slytherin, and wondered if she were telling the truth. He caught the glare and his cold landed on the little Ravenclaw boy. The girl had a story, and now, the boy wouldn't spill his? Noticing that look in his eyes, Kalif was liable not to believe the Slytherin just yet. "Sounds plausible, but I don't see why a first year would attack an older student over an animal, especially a female at that." Kalif tapped his wand against his arm and he glared down at the students. "Both of you head to your Head of Houses for attacking another student in the corridor. Tell them that I sent you, and they should decide your punishment; unless you have another word to utter." Kalif was through with troubling young children. Not this close to the end of the year.

As he stood in silence, Tony began to think of all the people he could use his magic against. All of the people who had ever hurt him. Using his abilities against another person, out-side of a duel, felt good; felt really good. The professor's words flooded through the young boy's ears, and for a moment; Tony thought about speaking. Not one to cry over a situation, he kept his mouth closed; his analytical mind starting to run through all possible scenarios. Speak, and worsen the situation; argue, and still worsen the situation; cast Stupefy once more, and cause himself future problems with the professor he respected; or remain silent, and hold on to his honour of not grovelling.

No other event with such similarities had caused him to hastily apologise, and he had very little intention to start now. Taking his eyes from the girl, Tony looked towards the professor. He certainly wasn't happy. Hearing his commands, the young Ravenclaw remained un-relaxed. He had been warned previously by his Head of House for skipping Potions. Taking a step forward, Tony flashed another glare towards the girl; before picking up his pet, and turning away from the two; and heading towards the Towers. There was little reason to say anything if he had remained silent for this long.

After reaching the Ravenclaw common room, Tony walked towards Professor Spenser's office; and knocked once. Upon being granted entry, the young wizard stepped in-side. Re-counting the incident to the man was simple. He told the truth, yet gave little answers when asked why he retaliated. To him, it was a spur-of-the-moment thing. No-one would get away with injuring anything he cared for. Not animal. Not human. With the brief discussion over, Tony left the office with his head high; and a detention with Professor Styx. Two incidents in one week was apparently frowned upon.

Slight 'god-mod' of Professor Spenser approved. :)

Alexandra listened to what the professor said, and was a little surprised that the first year hadn't said anything to defend himself. Knowing she had a detention with the Herbology Professor, she allowed her hair to fall in front of her face, in her usual fashion, and she had a steady pace as she scurried to the stairwell. Once there, and she was out of sight, she broke into a run, disappointed in herself that she was attacked by a first year. Sure, duels weren't her thing, but was she really that bad? He had just made an enemy of himself, not something anyone would want from a future potions master.

Once she arrived in the dungeons, she contemplated not going to Professor Black, but realized the attention would be unnecessary. She knocked on the large, wooden door to her Head of Houses' office, and entered the room. She explained herself, telling the complete truth, and scowled when she was told of her punishment to transfigure something or other. Alex stopped listening once she heard the word 'transfigure'. Though, she could potentially be an amazing transfigurer, being a metamorphmagai and all, she'd rather not use her wand at all.
