Andromeda walked slowly towards the forest she hadn't been here in some time now. Not since she had told Vico that she wouldn't come again. She felt different about that now, the wolfsbane was so effective after so much use that she was more herself in wolves clothing than anything else. The forest didn't look half so foreboding at morning time. The sun had just risen and the birds were doing their best to impress anyone who would listen. Of course they still stayed well away from her but she really didn't mind it so much any more.
She could safely say she had grown used to herself or at least to her wolf self. It had been a long journey and it would never be over for her but she was getting used to it. The loneliness in the cavern was now the only unbearable part. She wondered if she could bring a book charmed to tell a story with her the next time. Andromeda thought it was worth considering. She had posted a letter to Esmerelda, it had been time consuming summoning her owl and having the poor sod hover there magically while she attached the letter. But it was the only way she could post anything nowadays, otherwise Freckles would just nip her to bits.
Andromeda took one last deep breath before plunging into the forest. It wasn't dangerous to her anymore and she certainly didn't want to walk too deep. She just wanted to walk inside it one last time before she went home for the holidays. Would that be so bad?
