Family Get-Together

It had been a while since Alessio had been home, what with his work at the ministry and getting a place of his own and spending time with his girlfriend, and therefore it meant that it had also been a few months of not seeing his family. He missed them all terribly and especially Leo as he had gone to travel the world with his girlfriend - something Al was envious of but at the same time he was really happy for his brother. Alessio didn’t think he would ever have half the courage his brother had, in going out and seeing the world without really knowing what his future would be like. He had sent an owl to Marcella and Leo about a get-together he had planned for them that day, for old times sake, and he rubbed his hands together in excitement as he and Sara finished preparing lunch for the four of them. It was exciting, and it was going to be more difficult to plan these sorts of things next year when his sister graduated and she too began the next important chapter of her life.

Sara, admittedly, was glad that she was home for the break between semesters. It was Christmas and it was only right to be home with her family. She had been so relieved when her sister got better, and now that she was and Leo was back, she couldn’t just stay at Hogwarts. Not this time. She smiled at Al as she lay the table, when finished taking in all the decorations around the room. This was going to be fun and she knew that eventually they were going to have to take photos for their parents, who were currently in Rome for their work. "Bene, tutto pronto*," she announced in italian to her brother. The closer they got to meeting their other two siblings the more excited Sara felt. It had been a long time they hadn’t seen Leo especially, so this had to be perfect.

Marcella hadn't been home in some time. She had been travelling since she'd recovered, getting out of the house and out from under the ever watchful eyes. She'd not done so well after school, and the thought of being out in the world still terrified her, but she tried her hardest! She loved learning new things and constantly tried to seek knowledge, but found it hard sometimes to get the courage to actually go for it. She loved magic and all it entailed, but she wasn't always great at it, much more creative than wise essentially. Her time at school had taught her a lot, but it hadn't taught her how to find her path in life, something she had been struggling with even when she was at school. As she caught sight of her siblings, whom she'd not seen in far too long, slight tears sprang to her eyes as she carefully rushed to first Sara, and then Alessio. "Ciao! Ciao, hello! Oh, how good it is to see you both again!" She said, stepping away slowly, smiling. "Ah, I have missed you both! Where is Leo, I have missed him too!"​
