Gabrielle couldn't really say what possessed her and Colton to be out at this time of night, normally after work they both headed home and just hung out there. But tonight they ended up here, taking a walk in the pitch black of night. Obsidian Harbor wasn't exactly the place that she'd love to be traveling down at night either. But with Colton she didn't feel as vulnerable as she usually walk walking around here at night. What was there really to be afraid of here anyways? Things had been going badly for Gabrielle lately so maybe she was just thinking negatively about this place because she was having difficulties on her life with so many things that a young woman shouldn't be dealing with in bulk like this. The highest that was bugging her still was the fact that miscarriages came in no short supply with her. Her second pregnancy didn't even go to four months before once again the baby died without much cause or reason. The baby seemed perfectly healthy a few days before but when she went to her most recent check-up they confirmed once again that there was no heartbeat and that they were sorry for her loss. It hurt just as bad as it did the first time this happened if not more because the second chance that she and Colton had was very important to her, and that was destroyed just as quickly as it came. So maybe a baby just wasn't in the cards for her and Colton. After two miscarriages, Gabrielle wasn't sure she could handle another one. Hopefully Colton wasn't hell-bent on ever becoming a father. Then again for all she knew there could someday be another woman in his life and maybe she was the one that was supposed to give him a kid. Maybe they weren't soul-mates like Gabrielle believed they were. 'I need to stop focusing on this so much.' She thought to herself and shook her head, her tied-back hair floated around her head softly. She was focusing too much on these things but whether Colton noticed it or not their relationship was getting difficult. Not in a bad way. But Gabrielle had been hearing things from people lately. They were telling her that Colton was in love with her. But she had yet to hear that from his mouth either. So were they lying or was something wrong and he couldn't tell her? Knowing how she felt about him, she wanted him to say it. So she could know the truth, so she could prove her mother's words to be a lie and feel like less of an idiot for possibly loving someone that didn't love her back. Her feelings for him were growing very strong and she was growing very afraid for herself.
"This place creeps me out." Gabrielle spoke finally as she walked beside Colton, her baby blue eyes lifted from the street to drift over to his form. she was just getting this feeling that told her to be aware of something not being right. They hadn't really spoke much on their walk and it made Gabrielle worried, so she felt like she had to say something. What if he was upset with her or something and he just didn't want to say it? He needed to start saying what he felt before it made her worry to death. They spent so much time together she wasn't really sure how she would last without him. Pausing in her walk, Gabrielle turned her head when she heard something moving around behind there. Her eyes narrowed and she tried to peer closely. She knew something was over there, probably a person. After a long day at work though, not to mention a body recovering from a miscarriage, she was probably just tired and was hearing things. It wasn't until the noise continued that Gabrielle rolled her eyes and pulled her wand out of her hoodie pocket. She placed a hand on Colton's shoulder and looked at him for a moment. "Stay here. I'll be right back." She told him sternly before she walked away and started to head back to the area that they had just past. Her eyes darted around carefully as she tried to find the source of the sound. But as she peered around and around she didn't find anything. Not a person, or animal, or even something left behind by either groups. Growing tired of searching Gabrielle breathed out and turned away from the area. There seemed to be nothing there. Turning quickly to make her way back to Colton she didn't expect anyone to be watching her. But just about halfway back to Colton a spell was shot and it managed to hit Gabrielle right in the back. The spell knocked her forwards a few feet and the moment Gabrielle landed on her stomach she grunted out in pain. Her wand had also fallen a few feet away from herself. "Aw what the hell?!" Hopefully nothing was aimed at Colton either, or she would have a literal fit. Spitting some dirt out from her face plant Gabrielle slowly started to push herself. The few wavy bangs that were not tied back framed her face slightly. And her eyes grew wider when she saw no one around still. Who had done that?
