Delilah was excited for her next delivery, since it was her first and only delivery to someone she knew. It wasn't like they were best friends but with how often Sawyer talked about her, she felt closer to her then she actually was. Delilah ducked into the student lounge and was relieved to find here there. "Hi Theia! Happy Valentine's day." she greeted with a smile. "I have a delivery for you!" she said brightly and pulled out the yellow rose.

Theia needed to get herself together. She had tried at the beginning of the school year only to focus on things other than school again and ultimately disappoint herself, and she did not want to leave for the next set of holidays feeling inadequate and like she wasn’t worthy of being a role model all over again. So she had decided not to deliver roses that year and instead study for her classes and catch up on all the information she had missed in her irresponsible habit of becoming distracted. She was in the student lounge with parchment and books on the table in front of her, noting things down with her quill, and refusing to look away from her parchment. That was until she heard someone familiar say her name, and confused at the interruption looked up to see Delilah Thorne. A person Theia was acquainted with and had chatted to a few times. Not someone she would call a friend but someone she would say she was friendly with, and who could be a friend if Theia made the effort to talk to her more often. “Oh, Delilah, hey.” Theia said, placing her quill down to give the girl her full attention. “A rose?” Theia asked, a little surprised, but assuming it must have been from Sawyer since no one else in the castle was close enough to her to want to send her a rose.

Delilah was relieved when Theia recognized her. They had spoken a few times but she was never sure if she ever made an impression with people. "Yes, a rose." she confirmed with a small laugh. "Although that's pretty obvious considering what day it is." she added a little sheepishly. "Oh and here's the note." Delilah said realizing it was still in her hand.

Thought you might like to get a message that's not rigged to explode or something for once.

Love, Sawyer

(PS. this rose will explode in 3...2...1..)

Theia nodded, accepting the rose and then the note as Delilah handed it over. Wordlessly, Theia read the note, and absent mindedly twirled the rose between her fingers. Though she suddenly stopped, dropping the rose and the note on the table and standing up after reading that the rose would explode. As much as she trusted Sawyer not to prank her out of nowhere, she also trusted Sawyer to keep his word, and waited for a few seconds, uncaring if Delilah might have been staring at her weirdly, before she relaxed and realized the rose wouldn’t explode after all. “Phew.” Theia said as she sat back down. “Sawyer joked the rose would explode, I’m glad it didn’t.” She mused, looking between the rose and Delilah. “Anyway, how have the deliveries been? Has anyone given you trouble?” She asked, hoping that no trouble was going on, but more than willing to step in and help if Delilah did need it. Despite not being close friends and only being friendly, and even if she was terrible at showing it, Theia did want to make sure Delilah was okay, and had wanted to help her ever since their first meeting on the train to Hogwarts.

Delilah watched curiously and then with concern as Theia read the note and quickly dropped the rose. She let out a nervous laugh after Theia explained. "That's for sure." she said in agreement. "Besides I didn't agree to deliver any booby trapped roses. I should have been warned at least." she joked with a small smile. "They're going good." Delilah said almost automatically, but it was true. They were going well and she had even been able to find people relatively easy. "No. No trouble at all." she laughed lightly, wondering if Theia meant to go have a stern talking to if anyone had.
