Henri was rushing, he had places to be. The sun was up, the day was supposed to be warm, and he had taken his broom, and was rushing outside. He had been reading on moves one could do when playing quidditch, the stats related to them, how cool they looked, and had definitely wanted to give a couple of them a go. So he was rushing outside, taking the steps two at a time, and of course, given that Henri had never been the most aware of his own two feet, he had stumled a little in one of his jumps, his foot had caught the end of the broom, and he went crashing down the stairs.

Rouge had considered trying out for the team, but with so much competition on the pitch she wasn't sure it worth bothering. Besides, she had plenty of other things to be getting on with that didn't involve her being on the receiving end of a bludger, even if her sister apparently did not. The second year had eagerly been trying to set up a station for finger painting in the hopes that some of the smaller children would join her. Despite barely being any taller than a house elf, Rouge now considered herself to be one of the older students, and the new firsties were practically babies in her eyes now, and she wanted to make sure they felt right at home.

Her head shot up from the creative materials scattered around her work area at the sound of a thump a short distance away, her eyes landing on a small boy that seemed to be in a heap at the bottom of the stairs. "Oh!" It seemed she was also quickly becoming witness to many a tumble this year, although she hoped it wasn't a trend that would continue. Dashing across to the boy, she knelt beside him, "Are you alright? Do you need a nurse?" She glanced over him for an obvious signs of damage. "I can get a nurse if you like, I don't mind!"

This was not the first time that Henri had fallen down a flight of stairs, and he doubted it would be the last. He opened his eyes as he lay sprawled on the ground, the broom scattered away and then turned his head to the girl who had clearly rushed to him. "I don't need a nurse," he said, he was slowly testing out all his limbs, it was sore, but he didn't think anything was broken, just bruised. "Am I bleeding?" he asked, he wasn't really, a few minor scrapes, but at the very least he hadn't hit his head, and there was no blood there.

The second year was running her eyes up and down the boy, checking for any signs of damage. Gingerly, she checked him over for any bleeding too, when suddenly she felt something not quite right. "Oh," her fingers found the sharp shards, cold to the touch and in broken pieces just beside the boys hip. She scooped a few up from the floor, lifting it for a better look. "I.." she didn't know how to tell him. Partly, because she wasn't sure what this had been. "Something's been crushed, is this glass?" She offered the clear pieces out to him, watching as they slid from her palm back to the concrete floor so he could investigate it for himself before trying to sweep what was left of whatever had broken away from the boy so he wouldn't roll over it again. It didn't seem like he was bleeding though thankfully, and at it wasn't his bones that had smashed. Rouge looked over her shoulder, his broom a short distance away. "Wait here," she told him, jumping up to retrieve it for him before anyone else could trip over it or run off with it.

Henri looked down at the glass which was on the ground and then reached into one of his pockets and pulled out more glass. "Oh no, my mother is not going to be happy," he said as he looked at the broken pieces of the rememberall that he'd been gifted, one that was supposed to help him keep track of his classes. He dropped the glass pieces down on the ground with the rest waiting for the girl to come back with a broom.
