Dia loved her family. She did. Jett especially. But she had to admit sometimes they were just so overwhelming. Wanting some time for herself, she slipped out of the house and made it to Brightstone, exploring the streets and looking into shop windows. She felt so adult, wondering around, with some pocket money and the full intention of buying some snacks. She just wasn't sure where she wanted to get said snacks yet. She was bouncing through the crowds, humming happily, dark ponytail bobbing. Dia came to a sliding stop when she saw that there was another kid around her age nearby. She turned and darted through the crowd until she'd reached the other kid. "Hi! Who are you?" She asked, smiling brightly.

One benefit to living so close to the Harbour, was that sometimes when mummy or daddy wanted to go shopping it was only a ten minute drive. Or it would be if they had the car. Auntie Rowan and Uncle Monty had refused to get in mummy’s car the other day, so now mummy had to pick it up from where she’d parked it. Liv had tagged along, keen to see the shops and people again and had headed into town with her. Mummy had paused outside a broom shop, something about looking for something to buy for Felix, but Liv loitered outside because it was nicer under the sun.

She looked up as she heard a girls voice, although hadn’t expected the voice to be talking to her. “Daddy said don’t talk to strangers,” Livvy looked the girl up and down, although despite practicing fake scenarios with daddy in the living room for this very purpose, Livvy wasn’t sure this girl had an nadgers. Would daddy still be angry if she spoke to a girl? Or a stranger than was smaller than her? “Do yous go to school?” she asked, leaning backwards against the front window.

Dia laughed, she understood that, so she offered out her hand. "My name is Dia!" She introduced. "Now we aren't strangers." She shrugged at the question. "No, Papa James pays for tutors, so I study at home," She explained easily. "What's your name? Do you go to school? Do you live around here?" She questioned, rocking on her feet as she rattled off her questions for her newest friend.
