"Nixon Mercury?!" Maddie called out as she walked down the Hufflpeuff table. She was tempted to seek out Eleonora and get her to help her find the boy but she decided she would try this first.

Nixon had signed up to deliver roses that day, and in the midst of his excitement and the commotion of others receiving roses, he did not think anyone would have the time to send him a rose, too. Even as he walked into the great hall with his rose bucket and heard someone call his name by the Hufflepuff table, he did not think anyone he had met that year would have put time aside to send a rose to him. "I'm Nixon!" He shouted, running over to the older girl. When he approached her he asked "What's up?", assuming she had gotten him mixed up with someone else and would soon apologize and leave.​

Maddie turned around and saw a younger student running towards her. She grinned when she saw that, he too, was a rose deliverer. Hey Nixon, you have a rose! A yellow one to be exact and here is the note too she said as she handed both the rose and the note over to him.
