One of Nixon's favourite places in the castle was the Hogwarts Monthly room. It was not only the place he submitted and wrote articles for the paper, but also the place he felt comfortable and where he was always the most productive. No matter how he felt prior to arriving, being in the room immediately allowed him to feel motivated to work on the many projects he had, whether they were related to accio, his classes, or the monthly itself. That day he was choosing to visit the room to complete two main things he had been procrastinating all semester, which was the task of going through all his photos to dispose of the ones he had no use for, and also the task of brainstorming different article ideas to bring to Sophie eventually. Going through his photos would take a long time, as was thinking of things to write about for the paper, but to Nixon these tasks were wholly necessary. The pile of photos in his room was gathering into a monstrosity from his hoarding of them, and his muse to write was lessening substantially, so he could not see a better way to spend his time that afternoon than being productive and sorting out these predicaments.
Walking around the castle with a box containing a pile of photos was precarious, but Nixon managed to get to the room without dropping what he was carrying which he saw as a small victory. He placed the box down on one of the desks, surprised that none of the other hogwarts monthly writers were there, but pleased for the happenstance as it meant he wouldn't be distracted from what he was doing. After sitting down at the desk, Nixon decided he would begin by sorting through his photos. He moved the box to one side, then picked up a handful of photos from the box and placed the small pile on the desk, quickly beginning the task of sorting through all of them, making two smaller piles of photos he wanted to keep, and photos he wanted to get rid of. It was difficult for him at first, since all the photos were special to him. Though the longer he spent sorting through the pictures, the easier it was to throw them away.
