The weather in New Zealand was a lot better than it was in England. Every year she fell in love with the weather once again. Her dad was working and had told her she could go to the park today. He had given her a note with the directions to the park and a little bag with some provision. Elly smiled when she saw that he had also packed band-aids and some wound cleaner. The directions she got from her dad were easy to use and soon she arrived at the park.
Somehow people didn't think today was a good day to visit the park. Her dad told her that it would be swarming with people, but those were no where to be seen. Some people were sitting here and there, but you could not call this busy. New Zealanders were more relaxed then the people she met in England. They always had something to do or some place to be. Here it was more lay back and everything at their own pace.
Finally Elly found a bench with whom she contempt with. It wasn't dirty and didn't smell like a tramp had slept on it recently. She took a sandwich from her bag and threw the bag lazily next to her and started to watch the birds and the squirrels rummaging around. Crazily looking for food or demanding it from the few people that were in the park. ''Here birdy, birdy..'' Elizabeth muttered the words from under her breath. She had already broken a piece of her sandwich of to throw at a willingly feathered friend.
