First week of class went to a smooth end. JT was actually enjoying the return back to school and had a good start with classes as well. By Sunday noon he was done with his homework and after lunch he though that some flying would be a good way to pass his afternoon. The feeling while flying on a broom could not be put into words. He loved the sensation and even though he wasn't playing Quidditch for his house's team, he was always finding time to fly around the school's grounds and even visit the pitch to see the teams practicing. He considered doing that today as well but first he left the Great Hall for Gryffindors common room. There he got his broom and went straight to the castle's tallest tower. This was something he had seen from older students but he had downright adopted. Flying off the highest part of the castle was for the most part a dangerous doing that included a sometimes much needed adrenaline rush. Like every time he was climbing to the North Tower, he sprinted and jumped off the tower, letting gravity pull him downward before mounting the broom in midair and soar away.
After flying around the grounds for a while, he decided to go check if there was anyone at the pitch. The flags were nonchalantly waving at the soft breeze and he zoomed past one of them as he arrived on his broom. Surprisingly the pitch was empty. He thought that maybe not everyone was up to some flying with a full stomach. He shrugged this thought and made the best of the empty pitch. A few laps at first then flying at high speed through the golden hoops while leaning his body close to the broom's handle. Then another idea hit him and landed on the grass in front of the main storage room where Quidditch equipment was held. With the help of his wand he was able to open the lock and get from inside a chest with two confined bludgers. The game he had thought was simple. Escape these frenzy balls which were going to try and knock him of his broom from the moment they were released. JT mounted his broom and soared a few meters away. Then he pointed his wand and cast a spell, making the iron chains holding the bludgers loosen. The jet black balls shot like dark arrows, zooming straight at his direction. JT leaned forwards to speed up and escape them. He could hear their characteristic rustling they were emitting as they were getting closer to him. He did a great job at avoiding them and confusing them by using the towers and stands to his advantage. Then he flew at the open space of the pitch and while for a moment he could hear them trailing him, then their rustling grew distant. His heart skipped a bit when he realized that someone else had appeared at the pitch and now they were after them. Fearing a first year, he performed a hairpin turn and glided down towards the bludgers to distract them from the unexpected newcomer.
