It was a bright spring day. The sun was beating down on the ground making the temperature warm for spring. The birds were chirping happy spring songs as Kiera stepped outside the castle doors. In her arms, she carried two things. The first was a large quilt that her grandmother had made when she was only a small little girl. Kiera loved the quilt more than anything. It was always on the end of her bed except on occasions like today. The second thing Kiera carried was Pride and Predjudice. It was Kiera's absolute favorite muggle book. She loved how the two main characters ended up in love despite everything that was against them.

Kiera sighed happily as she reached her favorite spot on the lawn. She shook out the quilt and laid it flat on the ground in front of her. Kiera was dressed in a muggle tank top and shorts in an attempt to soak up as many rays as she could. Kiera grinned as she laid down on her stomach on top of the quilt. She opened her book and began to read.

Romeo had never actually been outside apart from the times he had Care of Magical Creatures, so coming outside at Hogwarts New Zealand to actually relax would be a first. He slipped on his shoes and departed from the castle, it was a certainly a nice day anyhow. Romeo paced himself outside, he took a deep breath the fresh air made him feel a lot better. While he was walking he came across a girl, which had seen around but never spoken to, she seemed to be reading a book. However Romeo walked over and sat down on the ground "hey" he smiled.

Kiera was so imersed in her book that when a boy said hello right beside her, she jumped. She looked at the boy beside her briefly with a startled face. Kiera did not know the boy but she had seen him around the castle some. However she had never had a conversation with him before. She smiled at him as she sat up, crossing her legs indian style. "Hello!" she said in a friendly attitude. "I am Kiera. I dont believe we have met before." she confessed as she lowered her book into her lap. "You know you really shouldnt sneak up on people like that." she teased. In reality it had been her fault for being so unobservant. Kiera hoped he wouldnt take her humor seriously.
