House Cup
The winner of the house cup is Ravenclaw!!
This is the second year in a row that the cup has gone to Ravenclaw. It was definitely a very close race this year, with there being only a few hundred points between houses. A massive congratulations to Ravenclaw, to all of the students who did their lessons, and participated in events to help bring this victory home. A massive shoutout of course to the other house and the folks who pulled the points for those. Head on over to the end of year feast to celebrate the victories and see who won the top points.
Graduation
As ever with the year ending, we've just had/are having graduation, head on over here to see what those head students said, and know it is very in keeping with their characters. If you have a graduating student be sure to reply before the area closes (and to wrap up any other threads you have). If you have a guest, a professor or a prefect then you can head on over here to have your character 'watch' the proceedings.
Thank You Professors!
As always, we’d like to take this opportunity to give a huge thanks to all the Hogwarts Professors who worked tirelessly throughout this year to be able to give you all the lessons that you were able to complete. Please do join me in thanking them! Being a professor can be a lot of work, and we expect a lot from our professors, but the admin is here to support the professors in it and help if need be. It is a team effort of course, so long as you communicate with us, we can help you. Any professors who would like to step back, now is the time to tell us.
Thank You to the Headmaster!
As folks will be aware we have been on the hunt for a new headmaster, and would like to take a moment to thank Daphne and all her work as the head master of the school since Y42 until now. Being headmaster is no easy feat, so please do take a moment to thank her for the work, and soon enough you'll find out who will replace her.
Buy Your Supplies
All students and professors will shortly see their allowance come into their galleons – so even more money to spend. Those with shopkeepers should be reminded that students will have to buy their books and other supplies ahead of signing up for classes. Professor's if you have supplies necessary by year, then please do make sure students can find this out with enough time to buy supplies.
Promotions
Promotions to your new year group will happen soon (possibly tonight or tomorrow). Prefects and head people promotions will happen a little later during the break. Everyone will be able to enjoy their new group, and be sure to kit yourself out with all new avatars and graphics. The seventh years will be placed into the graduates group until they are eventually moved into the magic group. However, if you want to do that early, or move them to another group, you can head over to the standard group change here and request to be moved.
Applications
Almost all applications are now closed – the only ones open are generic group change, galleons, and plot highlight. They will reopen shortly after the new term has begun. But there may be professor positions or other positions available.
Sorting
And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for: SORTING!
Sorting will be opening soon enough (likely Sunday evening GMT), so I hope you have everything ready to jump right in. As ever, the first person to post once it’s open wins the pride of being first! Be on the lookout for a post from the admin to indicate that sorting has been opened! Then you will be able to sort away until the area closes. Very soon you'll be able to add your speculations for where your sortees will end up.That’s all from me for now! If you have any questions/comments/etc., ask away.
