Eden stood by her sisters side. Doing her best not to cry. She had been very careful to help her from the common room and into the Great Hall. This would be the first time in five years that Eden had been to the end of the year feast. Eden didn't really like eating with other people she really didn't like it now that her Seer powers where starting to come out and the emotions of the others around her made her head hurt. Picking at her food Eden wondered when they would be able to leave so that Eden could back to her fathers house.

Hiria was excited for her first end-of-year feast, but sad that 1st year had ended so soon. When it was announced that Slytherin had won the house cup, she clapped politely, because she had some friends in that house, but she couldn't shake off a twinge of disappointment that Ravenclaw hadn't won. Still, 3rd place wasn't too bad. She did feel sorry for the Gryffindors though, who had come last. She wasn't sure what would happen in 2nd year, but she did know one thing. She was, and would always be proud to be a Ravenclaw.

Riley couldn't believe that her first year at Hogwarts had gone already. It had felt like no time had passed, yet here she was, at the End of Year Feast. She didn't listen to the Headmistress' speech, rather thought about what she had achieved that year. Her exam marks were okay, but apart from meeting Jerrod and joining the Glee Club, she hadn't done much with herself. She glanced over to the Slytherin table hoping to spot Jerrod; but she had no luck. Sighing, she focused her attention on the Headmistress to hear that Gryffindor had come last for the House Cup. What?! She thought angrily. Shaking her head, Riley picked at the food in front of her, not too impressed with herself. She vowed to herself that in the next year, she would do more, and have more fun. A thought quickly came to her mind reminding her that her best friend would be transferring to Hogwarts the next year, and her mood perked up instantly. Taking a huge chunk of food, and stuffing it in her mouth, Riley turned and joined in with the conversations around her.

Alyss sat at the Slytherin table near her friends, well not really friends, more acquaintances. Her chocolate brown eyes were fixated on the Headmistress as she announced that Slytherin had yet again won the house cup for the second year in a row. Clapping along with the rest of her house mates, she couldn't help but smirk at some of her more exuberant house mates. And who said that Slytherin never showed any emotion? Clearly they proved that wrong tonight.

When the headmistress sat back down, Alyss' eyes darted over to the Gryffindors. The poor little Gryffindorks came last this year and she was so glad about that. It clearly proved that the Slytherins were the best house in the school, and she couldn't wait to prove that next year when she came back from her holidays at the Zhefarovichs.

She was slightly nervous about it, but she wa used to keeping a composed face to hide any emotions that she was feeling, and as she took a sip of her pumpkin juice, she promised herself that she wouldn't let any emotions show during her time there. Ever since she was a young girl, she had been taught that showing emotions in public was a sign of weakness and even though she wasn't too upset about her father being killed as she knew he didn't really love her, she would do him proud.

The soon to be third year girl straightened up, and appeared more confident. It was her father's duty to have her, and it was her duty to make him and her family name proud. She was looking forward to next year especially as she would show everyone at Hogwarts who she really was, and exactly why she was a Slytherin.
