Emerald was given her first name due to her mother favouring the colour green and all gem-like stones. It had been a difficult choice between placing her middle name, Sang-Ji, as her first, or that of something less obvious of her heritage such as 'Peridot' or 'Emerald'. The final decision to plumb for Emerald being her name was made by Emerald's paternal Aunt, Adelia, who felt it would not only be a pleasant sounding name, but also a lot easier for future friends to pronounce. Bones, of course, is the surname passed down by her father's bloodline.
Emerald was born on the twenty-fifth of October in the year of two-thousand and twenty-three. She is three years and ten months older than her little brother, Alex Bones, but two years and twenty-eight days younger than her elder brother, Adrian.
Emerald has a 'lightly' chubby frame and dimpled cheeks. She always seems very laid-back and upbeat in her physical appearance, though her fashion is not always quite so straight forward. She is often sighted wearing hats to cover up the wonky parting of her curled brown hair. Emerald likes to wear comfortable clothes, but favours warmer tones such as oranges and pinks. She is fairly tall for her age and people often think she is older than her years.
Emerald is a pretty cheery individual who doesn't let the pressures of everyday life get her down. She likes to spend her time in the company of others, both that of complete strangers and of best friends. She believes that most people are willing to form some sort of alliance over that of a disagreeable relationship, and so is very open and honest with all whom she meets. She enjoys sports such as hockey, though prefers to play this particular sport on a less competitive level. Her favourite sort of pastimes are those of more relaxed sports such as golfing with friends or a nice bout of kite flying. She also enjoys spending time with the family pet dog, Yun-Seok, and taking him for walks or simply sitting and grooming his fur. Overall, Emerald is a very down-to-earth sort of girl, even though her mind can sometimes seem to be up in the clouds.
Born on the eleventh of April, nineteen-ninety-seven, Wook Bones, (née Rhee), is mother to Adrian, Emerald, and Alex Bones. She was married to Joseph Bones on the sixth of March, two-thousand and twenty, after a whirlwind romance. Wook was born and grew up in Seoul, South Korea, but immigrated to New Zealand in early two-thousand and sixteen after completing her studies in magic at Taejo Wizarding School. She gained employment at first within the muggle industry as a cleaner, but soon graduated into the realms of magic where she earned herself a placement within St. Mungo's as a Welcome Witch. She is of the Buddhist faith, as are her parents, Rhee Haneuel and Rhee Hwan, and her younger sister, Jin-Eun Border. She is not particularly fond of dogs but tolerates the family pet, Yun-Seok. Wook is a muggle-born witch.
Born on the sixth of November, nineteen-ninety-two, Joseph Bones is father to Adrian, Emerald, and Alex Bones. He was married to Wook Bones, (née Rhee), on the sixth of March, two-thousand and twenty. Joseph was born and grew up in Dunedin, New Zealand, alongside his two younger sisters; Adelia and Celestina Bones. He was educated at the local muggle schools until his ninth birthday when signs of his wizarding heritage began to show through. His parents, Sang-Gi and Tiberius Bones, decided that it would be right to home educate him in magic. Joseph did, however, return to a part-time muggle education throughout his teenage years, and he was most successful in the fields of science and sociology. Once passing his exams and completing his education, both magical and muggle, Joseph turned his hand to transportation. He became a qualified Wizarding Night Bus driver just prior to his twentieth birthday, and has juggled his life between this and other part-time professions, since. Joseph likes animals and especially dogs. He is a half blood wizard.
Born on the twenty-seventh of September, two-thousand and twenty-one, Adrian Bones is the elder brother to Emerald and Alex Bones. He was born in Dunedin, but moved to Amberly, New Zealand, when he was thirty-six months old. Adrian attended the local muggle schools and even managed to fit in well enough to associate with the so-called 'popular' children also in attendance. He received his letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry when he was eleven years of age, and began his wizarding education soon after. Sorted into the house of Gryffindor, much to his personal surprise and ambitious ideas, Adrian learned to charm his way through a stream of girlfriends. His speciality showed to be in the core departments of magic, keenly in that of Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts. He is fond of wizarding and muggle sports. Adrian is a half blood wizard.
Born on the twenty-fifth of December, two-thousand and twenty-six, Alex Bones is the younger brother of Adrian and Emerald Bones. He was born and raised in Amberly, New Zealand, where he received his muggle education from the local schools. Alex struggled desperately at school and was labelled by his teachers as being a 'slow' worker, though once he had completed a task it would always be top-mark quality. He was diagnosed with dyslexia at the age of six, and was soon granted further assistance in aiding his school studies. He did not begin to show signs of his magical heritage until his eighth birthday, when he accidentally blew up his birthday cake. He is of Christian faith and celebrates the appropriate holidays with his siblings and his father. Alex likes animals, but he is timid of those larger than himself, and so takes more fondly to rodents and small reptiles. Alex is a half blood wizard.

The Bones family are the proud owners of a beautifully kept male 'Puggle', Yun-Seok. He was born on the sixth of September, two-thousand and thirty-two, and served as a belated Christmas present for Emerald, her father, and her brothers, who are all avid celebrators of the festive holiday. Adrian and Alex, much to Emerald's irritation, frequently refer to Yun-Seok as being 'pug ugly', or make the impolite and incorrect suggestion that he is actually related to a pig. Emerald and Yun-Seok are very closely bonded and she likes to spend her times sitting and grooming his fur, or taking him to the park to play fetch with a ball.
Emerald Bones was born and raised in Amberley in New Zealand. She attended the local schools when she came of appropriate age to do so, and succeeded in befriending many of the neighbourhood residents, both young and old alike. She has often been sighted walking Yun-Seok along the streets of the town, and she is fairly recognizable to the other members of the area as she passes them by. In fact, it is not uncommon for Emerald to stop and speak to those she would have otherwise never known had she not disobeyed her mother in her promise never to speak to strangers unless given permission first.
Emerald is a half blood witch. Her mother was born to a muggle family, though there have been some questions raised as to the possibility of a previous generation of squibs on this side of the tree. Emerald's father is a half blood wizard, sharing in the same blood status as that of his own mother and father. Emerald is not overly aware of her blood status or any relevance that it may hold within the wizarding world, but she has witnessed it being registered on forms, such as her wizarding passport.
