"Hold the elevator!" Selfie shouted, jogging down the hall in the most ridiculous manner. She had papers in her hand, her hair seemed frazzled - just another Sunday morning. She knew that she shouldn't have gone out drinking that previous night, but she'd missed last months Saturday and just wanted the relaxing night. She'd gotten carried away with the drinks though, and she was taken home by a rather kind bartender who lived in her apartment building. Luckily she didn't have a headache, but she had still woken up ten minutes late, and now had to rush up to the 6th floor where her student was. She would have taken the stairs, but her feet were already killing her in the hot-pink heels she wore. just as she was reaching the elevator, she began losing hope - until the doors swung back open to reveal two people standing in the elevator. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" She said, rushing in and pushing the six button. The little woman who had let her in looked rather frail, and she was thankful for good manners. Her blue eyes traced the patterns on the elevator walls until they landed on the second person, who was standing opposite the buttons. He was tall and rather handsome - but something about him screamed predator. There was a slightly chilly feeling in the elevator as it moved from the second floor to the fourth floor. The jolting of the elevator made the discombobulated blood a bit disoriented as she adjusted the notes in her books. She straightened her black skirt and the suspenders a little bit, pulling them down on her legs. When the elevator stopped on the fourth floor, the woman exited, but the blonde next to her stayed. The doors shut silently, and Selfie took in a slight breath. Only a few more floors.

The elevator seemed to creep, and the petite woman tried to find something other than her parter in the elevator to look at. She had finally gotten her papers the way she wanted, but a sudden jerk in the elevator nearly knocked her off balance. Without thinking too much, she reached out a hand and placed it against the taller man's back. Once she'd caught herself she removed her hand and once again adjusted her skirt and her suspenders. "What the hell just happened?" She glanced at her wrist, which had a watch on it, the face on the bottom of her wrist. "Not now, please." She said, rolling her eyes. She looked at the blonde, and realized why she might have felt uncomfortable - they were in her apartment building and she had never seen him before. She wasn't sure how long they'd be stuck together, but there was no point in being rude. "Sorry for catching myself on your back." She started with an apology. "I'm Selfie, I live in 221." She offered, not that she cared if he said where he was staying. She just felt that it was convenient. Most of the people in this apartment building knew her - not that it was always for good reasons. She had had the cops called to her apartment twice for noise - not that either of those times were her fault. Regardless of why she knew most of the tenants in the building, she did - and a new face deserved to be welcomed, if that was indeed what he was.

Aeron James Freecss knew not why he was even bothering with this half-**sed mission. Why consider it such? Simple. It was simply just not as high paying as some of the other missions were. Well, as usual, lucky Kil gets to have all the fun. And he doesn't even want the d*mn job! Mostly why he wishes that his mother and father chose more suitable sons to lead the family business. Honestly, Aeron could stand having Alec take up the head position instead of Kil and even Mitch. He would not even dare imagine what would become of the family business if their parents even consider letting his sister take over. Ain't ever gonna happen. But then again, he was probably the most suitable after all among his siblings to lead the business. Disregarding Mitch, Kil didn't want the business and that automatically should've taken him out of the running. Alec was a downright playboy and though the guy enjoys missions just as much as Aeron does, he couldn't quite care less about the administration as long as he gets paid and a woman ends up in his bed. The eldest, however, wants the whole business and believes that he should inherit it. But no, his parents just had to play favorites with the youngest son and it irked him so.

Well, he had to focus on his irritating mission now though and to start with, he entered the apartment building where his target lives. He had to snoop around everywhere, starting with the topmost floor. And so, he entered the elevator with much thought. His mind kept going through the information he received from the client and it seemed that it would be suitable for the target to part in his own home. And Aeron was one to please. The man had watched as an elderly stayed with him and followed by a much younger woman. His eyes lingered on her figure for a moment before his thoughts returned to his work. This was no time to engage with such inappropriate thoughts after all. And so, he planned in his head and quite efficiently too, until the elevator suddenly stopped with a jerk. Aeron had his balance intact, though he couldn't quite say the same for the woman who had taken hold of his back for support. "What are you doing?" he turned his head to ask with a raised eyebrow. "Never mind," he shrugged of his own question as he went over to the opposite wall of where the woman was and he merely observed her. Not like he had anything better to do anyways. His eyebrow raised though at the woman when she had stated that she lived in 221 for his target lived in 220. Well, that was a strange occurrence but he didn't care nonetheless. "James. I'm looking for a place to rent. I heard there was a vacant one here or there will be soon," the man said as the lies flew out with ease.

Once again Selfie let an apology slip passed her lips. "Sorry, lost my balance." She replied to his inquiry, before looking at him. He seemed to be giving her more than a cold shoulder, and she couldn't help but wonder if she knew him. There was the chance that she met him out drinking and spurned him, considering she never brought guys home from the bar. However that wasn't to say she didn't occasionally have a one night stand. He wasn't one of them though, and Selfie was sure of that. After all, his beautiful cheekbones and well taken care of hair would be memorable enough. She trained her eyes over his attire as well, he seemed well dressed, the denim was uncreased, dark, it looked expensive. His jacket was the same, and fit his broad shoulders well. Something about him screamed he was a successful man, and that he was a powerful man. Why was it that Selfie thought that was attractive? She wasn't sure.

Trying to bring her mind off the impure thoughts, she reached forward and pressed the help button. She had never once gotten stuck in an elevator in the apartment building. She couldn't understand why the building needed one, it was only six or seven floors after all. Then again, she lived on the second floor. The blonde tossed some curls over her shoulder and smiled at him when he introduced himself. "James, nice name." She commented, though her voice was more playful than she meant. She didn't feel the need to apologize to him though, after all, he was a stranger. If he had any sense of humor he would know she wasn't malicious. "I don't know much about vacancies, but be careful if you're going up to the sixth floor. The kids on that floor drive me nuts sometimes." She wasn't just talking about the one's she was tutoring either, it seemed like all the terrible parents lived on that floor with their screaming children. Anyone who complained was moved to her floor. The landlord lived on the sixth floor, and her partner lived on the seventh floor right now - making it inconvenient whenever Selfie had to do any business with then. They used to live on the first floor, but after their break up it seemed that they both wanted to move out of their apartment. It was a sad case, but everyone split up eventually - that was why Selfie was still single. "So, James, seems like we migt be hhere awhile." She siad sitting on the floor of the elevator and setting her stuff next to her. "What school did you go to?" She inquired, assuming that the man was already graduated.

Aeron couldn't help but grin when he noticed that the woman was actually checking him out. And seeing as their gazes at each other's obviously god points, he just continued to unabashedly let his eyes wander about her body. After all, even if he was being serious about his job right now and the mission he had to finished, he was a guy after all. He wasn't a playboy like Alec but he was still a man. And a man, unless he was homosexual or something near that, was always attracted to a fine woman. Especially one who was quite fierce and was such an eye-candy. Of course he had his urges too, after all, as good as an assassin he was, he was also human. And rich and attractive male at that. Of course, most of the time, he didn't exactly need to put in much effort to get a woman in his room. After all, most of them just flaunt themselves at him because of his money. This woman though intrigued and amused him at the same time. After all, she was minimally trying to hide the attraction she had for him and she had to wonder how long it would be before he managed to make her cave in. And how deep would she be falling in the hole she had already started to dig the moment she stepped into the elevator.

The man merely shrugged as the woman named Selfie commented on his name. He honestly couldn't care any less about that. After all, he was trying to keep his cover from being blown and this would surely be a fun one considering the hassle that this elevator had gotten them into. If it wasn't for this, he really wouldn't want to comment or answer much of what she was saying. But the silence in the elevator and her presence and subtle mischievousness was quite maddening for him so he decided to just go along. "As far as my agent said, one of the second floor apartments are going to be vacant very soon," he shrugged as he thought that it would only be a matter of days indeed before apartment 220 became vacant. His thoughts were cut short when the woman had yet again deviated their topic into something a little more boring and Aeron had to roll his eyes at the futile attempt. "A boarding school in Bulgaria," he said before leaning into the walls of the elevator and crossing his arms in front of his chest, his eyes looking straight at her as if she was his delicious prey for tonight. "Is that the best you can come up with? I'm pretty sure you can think of something more," he paused as he licked his lips for moisture, "entertaining," the assassin smirked at the woman as not once did he avert his eyes, "than talking about our previous schools," he finished before chuckling and waiting for her response. This was going to be amusing, indeed.

Selfie saw the snide grin on the blondes face, and she looked away with a simple eye roll. She wasn't about to mess up her makeup, hair, or outfit just because she was stuck in a measly elevator with an exceptionally handsome stranger. Even if the ice blue eyes he was giving her did send chills down her spine. She supposed if he took her out for dinner or drinks she would be more than willing to give him the time of day. Even then it would be for one night, she couldn't risk anyone getting involved with her with the situation she was in at that moment. With her rather obsessed ex-boyfriend she couldn't help but feel that she was in no position to be in a relationship, whether it was long term or not. The way that he was looking at her though, made her figure it wouldn't be. She didn't concentrate too much more, now glancing back at him as he spoke to her.

"Well what a coincidence. Maybe we will see more of each other." Her tone was slightly suggestive, but no part of her body spoke that sort of language. With the collected personality she had, she rarely showed body language other than boredom and frustration. Her eyes were pointed back at the door, she hadn't even noticed they were on her floor. Instead she listened to the cool tone of the man across from her. As she was about to answer him, interested in where he was going, the elevator dinged. Selfie looked into the hallway to see a familiar blonde face standing outside of the apartment she was heading to for the tutoring session. "Sh!t." She muttered. "Okay, new plan, take my hand and walk me to the apartment I'm tutoring for." Selfie didn't give the man a choice, she took his hand in an iron grip and walked out into the hallway, attempting to ignore the blonde man standing there, waiting for her. How did he always find her. Was she going to have to move again? And why couldn't he just realize she didn't love him. Malachi was crazy, she was convinced.

Malachi had everything he needed. With 24 roses in his hands, and dressed in dress pants and a button down shirt, he was ready to see his ex again, and convince her to take him back. He was not entirely sure why it was that she had said no these past few times, but he was sure that she couldn't say no again. After all, they had been in love for so long. He had een passionate about her. She and him shared a bond of lost innocence. He adjusted his tie. He wanted to look his best. With a nervous hand he toyed with his hair, pushing it back one last time. She should be coming up that elevator any time, though minutes passed and he was more than concerned that she was sick and wasn't doing the tutoring today. The only reason he'd learned of this was because of her land lords, who had no idea who he was, or that he was coming to ask her out again.

Finally, after waiting forever, the elevator dinged. What he saw though was infuriating. He nearly dropped all of the beautiful roses that he'd spent his hard earned cash on. He glanced down at the petals, squeezing the stems of them rather tightly. "Selfie, you're running a little late. If this jerk giving you - " His sentence was cut off when he noticed their hands, intertwined as his fingers had once been with hers. He looked back up at her, blue eyes filled with a sorrow that bordered on anger. "Listen, Selfie, this guy looks like a smug jerk. Seriously, he's not good enough for you. We have a bond, and all he has is his lame looking, fake leather jacket. i mean, why would you run around with a guy like that. He is the equivalent of the Quid-I mean football players we hated in Durm - high school." He finished and caught his breath. "Unless, you aren't dating. In which case, Forget it. I know, he's one of the unfortunates your parents adopted right?" He continued to ramble, hoping that she wasn't with this schlump.

Aeron had to chuckle at the suggestive tone present in the woman's voice right now. It was amusing to hear and see her seeing as her tone and her body language were total contradictions seeing as she made no indication with her body that she was currently wanting him, though there was no doubt in his mind that the idea has gone through her brain at least once as they stayed in the elevator alone. "I have no doubts that we would see more of each other in the next few days of me checking this place out. Especially since I really am considering getting a place here," he said quite amused with the grin he had never leaving his face. It would be a lie to day though that he was quite disappointed when the telltale ding of the elevator bell resounded indicating that the two of them were free to go. It was such a shame since he was already having his fun with her, or starting to have his fun anyway. But it seems that his amusement for the day was not done as she rather forced him to hold his hand. He looked out towards the hallway and had an inkling as to why the woman was suddenly acting in such a way.

Aeron didn't really care much seeing as this was probably a good break for him from all the snooping around he had to do, besides this was also a good way to get a good look at the layout of the whole apartment, and also have more amusement time with the girl. For him, it was a win-win situation indeed. The two of them stopped in front of a man who had suddenly started to address the woman currently holding his hand and he instantly knew of the plan going around in her head. Well, he was not exactly one to disappoint though he would be expecting some form of payment later. He was a selfish guy after all. Pulling the woman towards his front and prying his hand off of her iron grip, he encased her waist in his arms as he put his lips near her ear. "I do hope that I'm getting something out of this. Just a little form of payment you might say for the sudden situation you got me into," he whispered quickly into her ear before giving a slight kiss and nip to the side of her neck, though his eyes remained fixed on the man before them as if taunting him. The words the man were saying though were quick to process in his head and he couldn't help but think that this man was an idiot with all the slip-ups he was having. "Sorry to disappoint but I didn't play Quidditch when I was in Durmstrang. And my jacket isn't a fake either, you can have it if you want to since you look like you're so jealous, but you obviously can't have my girlfriend," he said smirking before gently turning Selfie's head towards him and suddenly catching her lips with his own rather passionately and roughly that quickly turned into a rather hot make-out session that was befitting of his own rough, forceful personality.

To say that Selfie was surprised to see Malachi was an understatement. She didn't know how he kept finding out about her home situation, but he did again and she was sure that she'd have to change her address once more. At least Malachi wasn't dangerous, he was just annoying. Selfie recalled him playing boomboxes outside her window and leaving roses at her doorstep. He even told her he'd buy them a kitten if she came back, even though he was deathly allergic. As sweet as it was at first when she was in school, it was just plain creepy now. She didn't want to be with him and tried hard to make it clear. If this situation with James didn't make it clear, she didn't know what would. She thought maybe it would come to her bringing the police in, but she didn't want it to come to that.

Selfie was even more surprised by the man's actions. At first she held her hand tightly in his, afraid of him letting go and her being found out to be a liar. What the man did next though brought the curl of a smile to her lips, the only way she had ever reacted to surprise. She giggled fairly naturally, the skin that he kissed a spot of ticklish nature. She placed her hands over his naturally as he spoke, trying not to become even more surprised at his sudden reaction, speaking of the wizarding school she had attended. She grinned a little more, hiding her amazement behind loud laughter. Her laughter was silenced though when James took her mouth onto his, which quickly turned heated there in front of the down trodden blonde male. The woman had to admit, the kid had guts to kiss her, not knowing how she'd react. It was Malachi that seemed to shock both of them as he spoke.

Malachi's fists school, clenched at his side as he watched the heathen of a man touching the girl he loved. It didn't matter to Malachi if he got in trouble at this point, he was going to fight for her honor. They had spent so many years together, how could he not. He felt a new sense of rage bubble in his body, and it was much like he was a kid in school again, fighting back against the people that bullied him. His only saving grace was the blonde who was in the arms of another man. Malachi felt tears burning hot in his eyes, but he wasn't about to cry. "You piece of trash, get your filthy hands off her!" He shouted, and from there he was no longer in control.

Malachi rushed to them and pushed them apart with all of his strength. Once he knew Selfie was out of harms way the blonde swung with all his might. He didn't dare use his wand, there were muggles in this enclosure. He couldn't risk getting it taken away and broken. His fists would have to do. The only issue was that Malachi hadn't been in a fight in years, and he hadn't been very good at fighting in the first place. He only fought when he felt he needed to defend himself, or he felt passionate about something. His fist flew forward, his ice orbs closed, waiting to see if he managed to connect to the man's face. 'this is for you, Selfie.'

Aeron had enjoyed the little game that he had found himself in. He seemed to be on the winning side of things as it had been the other man that had all too quickly lost his temper. Of course, the assassin was please by the reaction he had gotten from the 'idiot' as he deemed in his head. After all, who would not be considered an idiot if he just couldn't let go of a woman who was painstakingly obvious was not interested in him. If anything, it seemed as if the lady wanted to be anywhere but within the vicinity of the raging man. But of course, Aeron wouldn't really pass up the chance to entertain himself, especially since there was work to be done later on. However, it seems that the man in front of him still failed to understand who between them was superior. Especially with fighting.

Now, Aeron was no natural assassin unlike Kil, who seemed as if he was capable of the most difficult jobs given to their family. Neither was he a natural in weaponry unlike Alec. If he took pride in anything, it would be his capability in the art of hand to hand combat. And so, he had been ready from the moment that he felt the woman being pushed away from him. Something was gonna go down, and it had nothing to do with magic. He readied himself to dodge but it seemed as if even that was not needed. It was an easy block for the assassin. In all honesty, Aeron thought that the man's punch was very pathetic. It lacked strength, speed and aim. Well, perhaps the aim was fine. But the rest had been all but mere blind punch as if he was fighting within a school courtyard. "That was pathetic," he said as he delivered a punch to the man's gut before approaching the woman once again. "Sorry you had to see that babe, but he did deserve it. I'll pick you up when you're done so go," he said with a shrug as he put his hands in his pockets, waiting should there be another attack coming from the other blonde man.
