Valerius always enjoyed getting a good start on the day. Watching the sunrise with a warm cup of coffee was always the best way to get started, just taking in the crisp morning air as the world woke up. Eventually, he walked to the breakfast hall. Whereas the castle had been quiet and nearly empty when he'd woken up and gone to sit on the front steps, the halls were much more lively now.

Valerius took his seat at the great hall, fixing himself a few raspberry jelly rolls, a bit of fruit, and some yogurt. He settled in, refilling his coffee. He stirred in a touch of milk, settling in for breakfast, pulling out the book he'd picked up from the library the night before. He set it up on the table before settling in to eat his breakfast, reading as he ate.

Demetrius wasn't exactly a morning person, but he'd more or less gotten used to waking up early. It was a lot easier knowing that there was always breakfast ready and waiting - and any kind of breakfast he could possibly want. This morning, however, he was a little bit nervous. He had a plan to approach someone and wasn't feeling particularly brave about it.

He made his way into the great hall and after a moment's consideration decided to forgo breakfast. He looked over at the Ravenclaw table, searching the students. Once he spotted Valerius, he gave himself one last internal pep talk, and found himself walking over.

Demetrius approached, not sitting down yet, and spoke: "Uh, hey. You're Valerius, right? Like Stefan's son?" Demetrius asked, his voice not quite steady.

Valerius glanced up when he heard a boy speak, tilting his head slightly and studying him. The boy seemed familiar, but Valerius couldn't quite place him. Judging by the immediate association to his father, then this boy must be the son of one of fathers connections. He set his book down, immediately entering into business mode. "Yes, that's right," He agreed with a smile getting up to his feet and offering out his hand. "I don't believe we've had the pleasure. Valerius Bianchi." He introduced himself, his best business smile on his face.
