As each Graduation Day came around Evie found herself becoming less cold towards the students. She had known these students for seven years now, some for less but regardless she had seen them through the hardest year in their schooling career and as such they had earned her respect to a certain extent. The change started to come about when she became a mother herself and she knew what it was like to see young children grow up into adults and in a way the Durmstrang Students had become like her own children. Although no matter how much she respected the student’s; that’s all they would ever see from her, she was still the Headmistress of Durmstrang and as such had an image to uphold. It was not long until the day the Class of 2027 would be graduating and as such Evie had been busy in preparing everything.

As soon as everyone was seated and it was time to get started Evie took to the podium in a slightly formal yet elegant outfit, which was covered slightly by her long, flowing robes. “Students, Professors and other guests, it is my great privilege to welcome you to Durmstrang’s Graduation Ceremony for 2027. The students leaving Durmstrang today have gone through a lot, on their own and as a student body. They entered the school as young children, probably too cocky for their own good and today they are going out into the world as mature adults, ready to take whatever the world has to throw at them. Before the diploma’s are given out I would like to welcome our speakers up to give their speeches.” she said, standing down from the podium and taking her seat while she listened to the speeches. Each and everyone was different and when they were over she took the podium once more. “Thank you! Now, I will call out your name and you will come forward to collect your diploma’s” she said to the students. She started to call out everyone’s name and once everyone had received their diploma’s she turned on the podium, one last time. “Everyone, please help me in congratulating our Graduating Class of 2027!” she said as she started to clap and the rest of the Hall joined in.

And that’s it. If you’re character is giving a speech you may post if not, post receiving your diploma’s and congrats!

Veronica had been waiting for this day for the past three months wondering when she would be finally graduating and getting her diploma and when the day was finally here she was very nervous and shaky because the feeling that Durmstrang was now over, no longer her home started to dwell on her. She had very little sleep the previous night and when she did finally fall asleep in the early hours of the morning she had all sorts of nightmares about tripping as she went to take her diploma and the crowd laughing at her. She was finally woken up by her dorm mate and best friend Sally Kuang. Her heart ached thinking that this was probably the last time Sally woke her up and giving her a faint smile she got ready for the ceremony.

Trying to avoid the thoughts about whether her mother would be sitting in the audience and attending the ceremony she put on the dress and ran a brush through her blonde hair. She did put her usual eye make up involving mascara, eye liner and extra long eye lash with eye shadow and she prayed to Merlin that she wouldn't come to tears and then it occurred to her that she was a witch and she put a simple handy spell on her make up that she had once read from a magazine making her make up tear proof!

Soon she was sitting in the hall with her classmates and they were sitting in alphabetical order. She watched as the school music club sang the school song and soon enough Veronica was in tears but she wiped them away and smiled on as she heard the Headmistress Powell invite them all and for the first time listened to the speeches that followed. She smiled as she spotted a few friends sitting in line with her. Zac, Ken, Jack and she even gave a sign of recognition at the faces of the Watanukis. In a few more minutes they were being called up to the podium and where presented with their diplomas. Taking in a deep breath she stood up as she heard the headmistress call out 'Ms.Veronica White' and clapping in the audience as she slowly walked up careful not to trip on her way.

She took her diploma from the Headmistress now beaming at her and the audience as she made her way to the rear of the stage and once all the remaining graduates were presented with their diplomas the school photographer and one from the newspapers urged them to all stand together holding their diplomas and flashes of magical cameras followed next as the audience clapped and cheered them on. Veronica personally did not care if her mother had made it or not for she was the last person on earth that mattered to her right now and she was not ruining such a happy day with thinking about Dympna.

Kenny couldn't believe how fast his years in Durmstrang had gone. It felt like just yesterday that he had arrived at the school glad to have some freedom away from his parents. Now it was time to get money off of them to get his pub started. That is, if he knew where he was going to be starting the pub at all. That still had some thinking but he was going to talk to Veronica about things when he got a chance. For now, he was just going to celebrate graduating. Especially as he'd managed to get the grades he wanted.

Kenny straightened his jacket and walked into the hall with his head held high. He had never been very popular because of being gay and having such a different personality but he was going to ignore all the name calling because today was his day to have fun and say goodbye to the people he'd never see after leaving.

Kenny looked down the line and saw Veronica stood near the end. He couldn't help but laugh when he saw her crying to the school song. She'd always loved being in the school and being around her friends but he hadn't expected her to cry listening to the song. He wanted to run over and sit next to her so he could tease her but he was going to wait. There would be plenty of time in the future to tease her about this and he was going to save the gags for when he needed to cheer her up.

Kenny walked over to he headmistress and took his diploma. He knew his mum was there somewhere taking pictures but he paid no attention. He smiled and thanked the headteacher then walked off and sat at one of he seats so he could "listen" to all the speeches and songs. It would make him want to fall asleep but it was why he'd come here.

When Jack woke up in the morning he had actually forgotten that it was graduation and that he, Jack Kaster was actually graduating, when Jack first came to school his whole family wasn’t sure if he had what it took to graduate since he rarely studied, worried or worked they all thought that he would fail but it seemed that they were all wrong, this made Jack smile as he proved his whole family wrong and now he could rub it in their faces. When Jack got ready he had the tie and jacket on and looked very formal, but as the time ticked by he changed his black pants to jeans and as he walked towards the hall he slowly removed his jacket and tie, the tie was choking him while his jacket made him feel old and boring, but he kept them on hand just in case the professors had some sort of dress code, though he doubted it. Everyone knew that Jack wasn’t serious so he doubted that they would try and change his attitude now.

Jack sat in the hall with his fellow 7th years, though he had to admit that he did not know half of them which made him feel slightly guilty, in fact he met one of his close friends not long ago. Jack looked around as he waited for his name to be called, Jack looked relaxed and even bored but inside he had to admit that he was nervous, to his knowledge none of his family was here, that included his twin brother which made Jack slightly on edge, when Jack pictured graduation he saw Ben by his side nagging him but when it came around there was no nagging and no arguing with him because he was nowhere to be seen. Jack quickly ran his fingers through his hair as the headmistress gave out her speech; Jack smiled when she mentioned ‘mature adults’ Jack doubted that all the 7th years were mature even if they were considered adults.

Jack clapped along with everyone else when people were given their diplomas and when Jack’s name was called out Jack got tiny butterflies in his stomach, Jack had not felt that sensation for years, ever since he was told that his brother was a wizard and that there was a chance that just because they were twins that did not mean that Jack also was magical, but a few days later they found at that Jack too was magical and everything was fine, but it still made Jack nervous. Jack nearly jumped up the stairs and collected his diploma from the Headmistress with a small ‘thankyou’ and stood with the other students for the school photographer, before the photographer took the photo Jack quickly put on his jacket and smiled.
