Dueling

Jacob walked into the Dueling chamber and was right on time.He had decided to meet down here with Larissa to duel.It wasn't like Jake to duel a girl but he couldn't think of anyone else to ask.The had actually gotten this as an assignment in Defense against the Dark Arts lesson and they were told to do the duel before the term ended.

Jacob was a bit nervous.It was his first wizard duel and he had wasn't really good at DADA last year.He had gathered all his last year's notes and did a lot of practice on disarming spell and other useful ones. He wasn't sure on what to expect form Larissa.She was a bit hot tempered.He didn't want to duel a girl because he was the gentle man kind who wouldn't ever curse or hit a girl no matter what.He had brought himself to decide that he would not be defeated for such a reason.
 
Larissa arrived in the duelling chamber, long black cloak fanned out behind her. She wore her hair up in a tight bun. Her eyelashes were long and dark, her lips rosy red, her teeth sparkling white and her eyes cold and grey.
"Jacob," She said, giving him a sly grin.
She had chosen this outfit to give her one particular advantage- Surprise.
"How nice of you to turn up.." Larissa wasn't a fan of Jacobs, nor was she an enemy.
Larissa directed her grey eyes into Jacob's and grinned broadly.
"Let me know if you're ready," She said, drawing her wand.
Larissa had duelled once before but not exactly by the rules- It had been in the dungeons with 'werewolf girl'.
Despite her glitz and glamour, Larissa wasn't as confident as she portrayed.

Larissa reacted the moment Professor Merrythought said to begin.
Her eyes were dark and she knew that if she could beat Jacob, she could stop feeling jealous of him and Libby as an item. Not that she felt that way about Libby.
Larissa stepped into a basic spell. Though the way she used her wand, she seemed to almost cast it lazily-
"Tarantallegra!" She shouted in her poisonous voice, the spell shooting from her wand and across the room towards Jacob.
 
[Hai, stop. This is homework for DADA, Aurora. I set them the homework of duelling, then they would pm me a link and I would go spectate. But you can stay if you want.]

Ciaphas slipped silently into the duel hall, nodding a greeting to Professor Aurora, then conjured up a table set, sat back quietly to watch the duel between Larissa and Jacob. A parchment floated at his side, a quill standing ready to write down whatever he said. A house-elf scurried in and deposited a tray of tea. Thanking the house-elf, he squinted and watched as Larissa threw the first spell. "Hnnh. Good choice," he murmured to himself, and the quill scribbled a line.
 
Jacob saw Larissa enter the duelling chamber.She looked spectacular yet deadly.Jacob knew that she was no perfect pricess but a poisonous slytherin.Jacob was too quick.With a fluid swish of his wand he cried,"Protego!"and an invisible barrier formed itself between them.He didn't want Larissa to get hurt.She was a girl even though she showed him no mercy."Expelliarmus!"he yelled fluorishing his wand to cast the disarming spell.It would simply disarm her and cause no harm.
 
Larissa wished she had disarmed Jacob.
She felt her wand tugging against her grip and clang to the floor.
Larissa, not losing eye contact with Jacob, picked up her wand.
She smiled.
"Punctum!" She called, sending the stinging hex towards Jacib's face.
 
Jacob probably hadn't done the disarming charm correctly because it was supposed to send Larissa's wand flying in the air but what he just did was make it fall to the ground.He didn't make the next move until Larissa picked it up.It was against his pride to curse someone without a wand.When she shot the stinging jinx at him he raised his wand and cried,"Protego!"and again the invisible barrier formed between them and the jinx was deflected."Infirmo Crur!"he yelled sending the Jelly leg jinx towards Larissa.
 
Larissa decided to play the same game as Jacob. "Protego!" She shouted, just in time to deflect the spell.
"Expelliarmus!" She shouted, sending the spell towards Jacob.
Her eyes focussing, waiting for a moment of weakness.
 
Jacob's wand gave a mighty tug and it got out of his hand but before it would get out of reach he caught it in the air.He knew that Larissa hadn't made another move yet so he shouted,"Punctum"directing his wand towards Larissa's wand hand.
 
Larissa felt a stinging sensation in her hand as Jacob spell hit her.
She gasped with pain, gripping her hand.
Larissa scowled, straightened up and called out "Petrificus Totalus!"
She spun her wand round her finger tip and into her palm, giving it a flick towards Jacob's chest.
 
Jacob grinned as Larissa got hit by the jinx.He raised his wand and said almost lazily "Protego" with a swish of his wand and again the invisible barrier formed and deflected the curse.He raised his wand again and then yelled,"Stupefy!"sending the red beam at her.
 
((Planning on getting hit, anytime soon?))

Larissa saw the spell coming, heading towards her.
"Protego" she shouted, sending out the shield.
"Punctum!" she directed the spell at Jacob's face.
 
((Nope,Jacob isn't planning on losing to a girl :lol: ))

Jacob was getting bored now as he watched Larissa protect her self from his jinx and send yet another stinging jinx at him.He dodged it with yet another shield charm and then he raised his wand to disarm her,"Expelliarmus!"he yelled.
 
((Fine then. Larissa wont lose either :p ))

Larissa rolled her eyes. This duel was going to last forever.
"Protego" Larissa said, deflecting the spell from herself.
She had great temptation to try using a spell like crucio.. But she knew the consequences if she even tried it.
"Rictusempra" Larissa said, her wand aimed at Jacob. This spell had to hit. It was a very targetting one.
