Open Drop in and jammin'

the semester was passing by quickly. there had been Halloween they had had quidditch which Sky was pleased Hufflepuff had beaten Slytherin it was good to see her friends win after all the work they put into training. it was about a week later and she had headed down to the CAC room. she knew she should study. she really should. but she didn't want to. and she was never one to force herself to do things she didnt want to do, that just wasn't her style. so she was sitting in one of the larger music rooms at the CAC. a spread of instruments around. while this wasn't an official CAC meeting she had made a poster and put it on the CAC noticebaord. a sort of casual drop in jam session for those who just wanted to play music. She she picked up her viola. put on a backing track, a song that had vibes that made her think of summer days and warm places as the weather was starting to warm up. and started to play the backing owoudl be turned off when people started arriving and music started flowingorganivally but for now it was a way to drop some of the intrepidation some people felt about playing a group. she stood and started to sway and move to the music enjoying herself. playing to a track wasn't something she did often but it was fun. it was like walking though a corridor lined with scarves and ribbons blowing in the wind each of them stroking past you as you moved. she kept her eyes on the door watching for people to come and join.

Eugene loved being able to jam, and he had far more time now than he'd had before. He would organising the first CAC meeting but he appreciated that where he was doing something art focused, she had decided to do something music focused. He knew this was why they worked well as a team, they could bend in and out of roles like this. Eugene had his guitar with him and entered the room. He could see that Sky was already playing so he just took a spot, listened to what she was doing as he took out his guitar and just started playing along, jamming with her.

Salem hadn't spent much time in the arts room, it'd never been one of her strong suits, but she'd found herself lured in today by the sound of music, listening for a moment at the door before wandering further in. It seemed like it was an open sort of jam session that was just getting started, Salem had seen this sort of thing with street musicians and always thought it looked fun. "Wow, you guys sound good, how long have you been playing?" She asked, picking at a few instruments before picking up a tambourine. That would match her skill level nicely, she figured, giving it a little shake and listening to it clatter before trying to tap it along to the backing track beat that was playing.
