Dimitri couldn't believe it. He was married. Married. He'd eloped, changed his name, had a simple yet perfect ceremony with Ares and his brother as a witness. The night of and most of the day after had been a blur. Now, Dimitri was content and laying in bed, sighing as the evening light pushed through the curtains of their room. He hummed softly, cracking open an eye. The blankets were tangled around his waist, he lay on his stomach, his fingers brushing against the plush carpet. He yawned. "Dorogoy?" He murmured, content and unmoving. Ares was somewhere nearby... probably.

Ares had always imagined he would end up alone, that he would play quidditch and then never do much more. But by all the odds, he had fallen in love and gotten married, a quiet intimate service which hadn't needed them to plan and dance about. It had been simple. The man hadn't stopped smiling since they had decided it. Now it was done. He had woken up before Dimitri, having taken an afternoon nap. He had showered and dressed as Dimitri was waking up. ”Get washed and dressed, husband,” he said. ”Let's explore the sights,” It would be a pity to come all this way and then not see what New Orleans had to offer.

Dimitri groaned, as ever not a morning- or after nap person, as it were. "Nooo," He whined, yawning. "Come back to bed," He complained, holding out one hand and making a grabbing motion in the general direction of his husband, though he had the blanket pulled up over his head so he couldn't be sure. "Ares," He complained, before yawning.

Ares gave a fond expression as his husband complained. "Come on," he replied teasingly. He pulled the blanket down a little and was leaning into his husband. "We have to spend at least one day out and about," he told him. "It'll be fun, I promise you," he added, hoping that would encourage his husband out of bed.

Dimitri groaned, whining a little bit and leaning into Ares. "Mmm, dorogoy," He sighed softly, yawning deeply. He sat up a bit, keeping his eyes closed and leaning into the other man. "Breakfast first?" He questioned sleepily, not really awake enough yet but knowing he'd probably grab a shower or something before they left.
