Matthew loved the holidays for one very important reason. Movies. The one thing he couldn't do at Hogwarts was the one thing he loved the most. He had discovered a love of movies once he was adopted by his mother and was given the freedom to discover things for himself. As much as he loved Hogwarts there times when he wished he could sit up in his dorms and watch a movie, when his homework got too much or when he was a little homesick. It would certainly have made his life easier. His vast movie collection had also provided him with a good distraction from the mystery Slytherin girl he met the night of the Yule ball. It had been one of the best nights of his life but ever since it was all he could think about and it was becoming a distraction, one, for some reason, he didn't feel like he could talking about. Almost as if telling anyone about her would ruin the memory of an amazing night.
After finally breaking away from his monster movie marathon Matthew headed to Obsidian harbour as he needed a few supplies for the next semester. He was looking forward to going back despite it meaning he would have to turn his back on his beloved movies. It was crunch time for Matthew, the decisions he took in classes were now more important than ever and soon it would be his final year and he would sit exams that would dictate what jobs he was qualified for for the rest of his life. It was a very daunting yet exciting prospect. Matthew already had a good idea what he wanted t do after school, it was now a matter of making it happen. With his few school supplied bought Matthew spent the afternoon walking up and down the street peeking in the various shop windows at all the things he couldn't afford.
