Willow walked briskly across the rocky gravel leading to the Forbidden Forest. Clutching the hood to her gray hoodie she made her way to the meeting spot where she would meet Chris.

It was going to be the first time that she and Chris would go exploring together ever since class started and all she wanted to do was wind down and relax for the day.
Kicking pebbles along the gravel path she hummed a song that she was composing. She knew that the forbidden forest was forbidden and she couldn't help rolling her eyes at the obvious naming of the said forest. She gazed into the forest, it's dark, rich, earthy smelling undergrowth seemed inviting and yet it was too dark to see anything withing a three meter radius. Willow wondered what kind of animals and creatures she and Chris will see.

Chris...Where are you....

Willow jumped on the spot anxiously, she was getting creepy vibes emitting from the forest, but she was keen to explore, She was going to tell Chris that they shouldn't hang about in the forest for a long time in case someone realizes that they're missing.

But we're eleven, we're curious and we want to climb trees

Willow dug her hands into her pocket of her hoodie and wrapped her hands around the two sandwiches that she made in case they would get hungry. Smiling, she checked her jeans pocket - in which held her magic wand. Even though she knew no magic what so ever.

Well. This is awesome. Longest starter I've ever written. This is gonna be epiccc.

It'd been a huge, long, boring and ultimately difficult day for Christopher, with every teacher calling him by his full name rather than the 'Chris' he was accustomed to. He moodily strolled out of the castle, hands in the pockets of a navy blue sweatshirt. Today he and Willow were planning on a little exploring, in the Forbidden Forest of all places! The thought thrilled him, yet he had trouble forgetting the stresses of first year.

He gave a tree root a little kick as he neared to the place that him and Willow would meet. He just hoped that she wasn't wearing a skirt like she did last time. Chris knew she was a girl, but never thought of her as girly enough to wear skirts. Somehow the young Gryffindor hadn't noticed that all the girls at Hogwarts wore grey skirts ad uniform. He just wasn't interested in girls.

Quickly, Chris realized that the Forest was getting darker. He glanced around, hoping to see Willow pop out from behind a tree or some similar predicament. He gave a daring grin and double-checked for his wand, taking it out and casting Lumos, surprised he'd remembered the spell. He couldn't remember which relative had taught him it, but that was normal.

"Willow!" Chris grinned even wider and jogged over to his friend, the creepy shadows looming about them. "So we going to explore or what?"

Willow lazily kicked a pebble around the ground, anxiety was starting rise up within her.
Where are you chris? I might get into trouble with out you!...
She looked up and a small light was heading her way, she ran to the nearest tree and hid behind it. Willow turned her head around to see the approaching light and saw a grinning Chris run over.

Sighing with relief she came out of her absurd hiding place and jogged to meet up with Chris; "I thought you'd never get here! By the way - your gonna have to teach me how to do that" Willow laughed and nodded at the beam of light coming out of Chris's wand. Willow was impressed, she saw it as a mini flashlight.

Willow looked at Chris and gave a mischievous smirk; "Look at me. I'm not wearing a skirt! I have to tell you, I'm glad. Also, I brought sandwiches in case we get hungry" Willow slapped her hands against her thighs, making a happy tune. After she finished Willow dug into her pockets and showed the sandwiches before grabbing Chris by the arm gently and walked him inside the woods a bit. Willow looked around, she grabbed his arm for two reasons: She was a bit frightened and she didn't want to get lost. Willow looked at Chris and spoke quitely; "Teach me that spell and we'll go in kay?".

She felt chills going up her spine, usually she wasn't this scared, but the forest was giving off weird vibes and she didn't like it at all. But she wanted to explore anyway - she promised Chris after all.

OOCOut of Character:
Willow has no magical experience btw. She's just a smarty-pants in classes :r

Chris wrinkled his nose, trying to squint further than the light given off by his wand. "Have you actually not learnt that yet?" he asked in disbelief, wasn't Willow supposed to be the smarty-pants? He waved his wand in her face in a I-know-something-you-don't-know fashion, giving a smug grin.

"Well done, haha." Chris returned his friend's smirk as she told him about the sandwiches, before she tugged him deeper into the forest. "I can walk myself, thanks!" he protested playfully, noting the nervous expression on Willow's face. "You aren't scared.. are you?" the Gryffindor asked, slightly uncertainly.

If Willow was scared, Chris wondered what he would do. Two scared first years in the Forbidden Forest wasn't really the best thing. He smiled and showed Willow the spell, nearly forgetting to breathe in suspense. Chris wasn't scared. Not much.

Willow eyed him; "Of course i'm not scared." She straightened her posture as Chris waved his bright wand in front of her face.
"Okay, enough mister" She pushed his wand aside and poked her tongue at him.

Learning the spell from Chris she pointed at a tree and waved her wand; "Lumos" and a bright light appeared from the tip of her wand.

Looking at the many different paths leading into the forest; "Should we go down this path?" She pointed her wand to one of the paths. She wondered if Chris was scared, and if he was he was probably hiding it for her sake, Willow thought she should do the same on her side and she punched Chris playfully at his arm.
"So. What are we waiting for?" She whispered.

Willow started walking down the path, leaves and stones crunching underneath her feet.
