Valentine's Day 2039, America.
There was nothing Kimmara Axel hated more than public appearances with the lingerie models that she worked with. She hadn't been doing shoots with them for long, but already she felt like the crowd that turned out was sleazy. However, America was usually pretty tame with their bars. There was a lot of security, and this time her and her girls were dressed in real clothing, rather than at a beach in bikinis. Kimmy wouldn't normally wear a bikini anyways - she liked one piece suits much better. After all, they covered her up more. The dress she wore would normally make her very uncomfortable, but the lacy black bandeau underneath the top part made her feel pretty covered. She thought that getting a tattoo on her back would force the company to terminate with her, but she didn't realize they were all for alternative models, and when they wanted the tattoo hidden, they did things like putting her in a closed back dress, using makeup to cover it, or putting her in a black bandeau. Kimmy couldn't believe that they were that clever, then again she'd been with the same few companies for a while, five r six years now. They'd practically raised her alongside her brother. Her mind was a million places from outfits to family when she heard a photographer call her over. Her heels clicked on the smooth tile of the bar and grill. It was late enough in the day that many of the families had left. Older gentlemen sat around drinking with one another now, and some watched sports on the television. The bar had multiple men sitting in chairs, and orders were leaving at a considerably slower rate than when Kimmara had arrived at the restaurant. it didn't bother her, or the other girls who actually worked there. It was Valentine's day after all, and many of them wanted to go home early to get back to their significant others. Kimmy had no one to go home to though; well she could go home to her brother and some take out. Since her and Killy had split up, or not split up, or whatever they were calling what they had right now, she'd been single. Kimmara wasn't even sure if she had been taken in the first place.
With a sigh, the sandy blonde put on a smile and took some photos with the last toddler before her parents and younger brother took her back to leave for home. The husband and wife seemed so happy to be out with their family on Valentine's day. The woman made her way into the back for a moment, where a makeup artist was waiting to touch her eyes up and any other makeup that needed it. As it stood right now it was mainly her lips that needed to be fixed up. After all she was kissing cheeks left and right. After her was done she stood back there for a moment, toying with the bow that accented her high ponytail. She placed a few more bobby pins into the sections that were twisted back to hide that the bow was actually a headband. The expression must have said it all when another model - Luminesta - asked her what was bothering her. Kimmy wanted to spill the beans about Killua, and how while they had more than been physical, he still was not hers. She had no idea what to call what they had been doing. And then his sister found out, and that was a mess. Especially after their huge argument came to light for Killua, who discovered that Mitch had been sleeping with Silas. Kimmara felt like her life was a mess, but all she said to the other model was "Makeup." With an expression that said she was annoyed. With that Kimmara made her way out of the back and into the front. She noticed a drink order sitting on the counter, and looked at the boss with questioning eyes. Kimmy and the other girls had been helping as waitresses as a publicity shoot - it was in exchange for being allowed to do shoots and photos in the restaurant. It was really a win-win for both parties. The girls looked like hard workers and got to talk to the general public, and the managers got a huge revenue from it. Kimmara hadn't been serving much that day, and her silence and stutter had gotten awes and other noises of appreciation from those she did serve to. The blonde hadn't realized just how much her stutter was considered an endearing quality.
Grabbing the tray of drinks, Kimmy took a few deep breaths and headed toward the table that the boss had told her was where they belonged. She was so busy thinking of what she was going to say that the didn't notice the bar stool that was left pushed out. It only took a small bump for her to loose a considerable amount of balance. Luckily she caught herself on the counter, but the tray with the three alcoholic beverages on it went flying into a man's lap. Her blue orbs widened, the icy colored irises making their way to meet eyes with the man whom shed manage to spill the drinks on. This reminded her of the situation she'd landed herself in with Killy - but she was sure that by his angry expression he wasn't going to kiss her for what she did. Kimmy rushed to his side, grabbing napkins to help clean him up. "I-I'm s-s-s." She could barely choke out the words. "I'm sorry." She said, moving to help him, hoping he wasn't too drunk, or angry.
