For a while Paige considered ditching the Yule ball leaving the castle early to go home. Her decision was made when she found a dress that she could simply not pass on buying and wearing. The prefect stood in front of the mirror amazed at the person starring back at her. It was a rare moment for Paige to look at her own reflection and be happy with it but this was one of those times, she was very happy with the dress and she hoped that the night would live up to the all the expectations in her head. This would be her first Yule ball, she had never felt a desire to go in her previous years, now she was older maybe she had a different look on the whole night.
The Ravenclaw common began to empty and Paige took that as her que to leave. She looked on in envy at the couples leaving together or the friends discussing their dates from other houses. Paige was flying solo for the night, it was part by choice and part no one asked her. Prior to a week ago she would have turned down any offer by simply saying that she wasn't going so either way when she decided to go she would be solo. Paige shook her thoughts out of her head as she placed her wand in her trunk and left the common room herself. Reaching the Great hall she made her way inside and headed straight for the drinks table. She was curious to see how the night would turn out.
