Ai had been wandering the corridors quite frequently ever since she and Heath had broken up. In fact, it was getting a little bit bad considering that whenever she had free time, she would let her mind go blank and just let her feet take her anywhere. It was definitely a lot better than staying cooped up in her room and sulk about every single thing that went wrong in her life, starting from her parents' death until Heath had broken up with her. And if she were to list that down, she was pretty sure that she could write a lot and Ai just wanted to forget about most of it even just for a while whenever she was on the walk in the different corridors of Hogwarts New Zealand. Though she knew that she had to stop this nonsense at some point, considering that she almost fell down the stairs a couple of times thanks to tripping while her mind was a blank.

Unfortunately though, today was not the day that Ai was going to stop her wandering around the halls. She had an unemotional look on her face saved for her eyes that showed her pain and even the slight traces of crying the night before. She always cried in her room before she went to sleep, though she would always succeed in stopping the tears, thinking that she didn't want to cry anymore. But that thinking wasn't really helping. With almost nothing in mind, she strolled in the Sixth Floor corridor absent-mindedly. She looked like a zombie prefect going on a patrol but then again she didn't particularly care and she hoped that no one would bother her all too soon.

Jessie could have laid in bed all day. She was the only one from her dorm room that had returned to school so there would be no one coming in during the day. It would have been so easy for her to role over and go back to sleep. Sadly for Jessie the sunlight breaking through the shades was too much to ignore so she pulled back the sheets and climbed out of her four poster bed. Jessie headed over to her trunk and pulled out some of her winter clothes, with term yet to start she was free to roam the grounds in the cool chill of a New Zealand winter. Finally she settled on something simple, a pair of her favorite jeans and her fluffy yellow Hufflepuff sweater. She made her way down the staircases and passed through the deserted common room out onto the fourth floor. It had become a habit for Jessie to poke her head into the corridors of the other floors as she went down through the castle, she hadn't expected to see anyone when she peered her head round the corner of the sixth floor corridor, but she was surprised to see a familiar face.

Her fellow Hufflepuff and seventh year Ai Edogawa, she had been told by some of her friends that Ai had been made Head girl. Jessie was glad to see that the new head girl was from Hufflepuff, she had been a good prefect and Jessie knew that she would do a good job and represent her house well. "Hey there," She said with a big beaming smile. "You know we must be the only two Hufflepuffs here," Jessie added as she approached her.

Ai should have known that peace and solitude wouldn't last long. She wasn't really very willing to talk to anyone lately, but with her current status as Head Girl, she supposed that it wouldn't do her any bad to talk with whoever it was that wanted to approach her. And so, as she walked, she shook her heads in order to gather her thoughts. It was after a while that she finally realized who it was that wanted to talk to her and she smiled a little at the girl. "Hey Jessie," Ai said with a small wave. The Head Girl remembered her since they were in the same house and the same house, and also, Jessie had once been a part of the Quidditch team so it was no wonder that Ai knew the said girl, it wasn't like there were a lot of people in the team anyways, not many were interested in trying-out in their team. "Yeah, this isn't really a famous and perfect hang-out spot for Puffs like us," the Asian girl said with a small chuckle and a shrug as she clasped her hands behind her and waited for Jessie to reach her.
