Angelo had agonized over sending Finley a rose this year. He'd sent one last year, but he'd also agonized about that, too, but the problem this year was he wasn't sure he wanted to send a yellow rose. Not that he wanted to send a pink one or a red one because he's gay! He's not! But because he wanted to make sending the rose meaningful? Like, maybe Finley preferred a red rose because he's a Gryffindor, and Angelo would really rather send a rose that he was sure Finley would like than just a rose saying "Friend," which for some reason had a weird alien voice in his head. In any case, he'd sent his roses with the organizers—he was pretty sure he could still feel the boy's stink-eye—and then grabbed the deliveries assigned to him—the older lady was much nicer.
His jaw dropped at spotting the first name on his list, and really, maybe he should have just delivered his rose to Finley in person because this was just ridiculous. Thankfully, he'd spotted his friend just as he was about to leave the Great Hall in search of him. "Finley! Hey!"
