Dominik Perrie looked around the Great Hall as if he expected fireworks to begin at any time. He was giddy with excitement. He wanted to cut in front of everyone so that he could hurry and be sorted! The boy felt like dancing, but he needed to keep still. He still remembered when he got his letter of acceptance. He tried to not take it for granted. He was going to the school of his dreams, and he was going to make every moment of it count. He clapped happily every time someone was placed in a house. He looked towards the Gryffindor table. He really wanted to be a Gryffindor, but he was okay with any house. There were great people in every house. He was not going to close his mind to any opportunities! He wanted to make his parents proud, and he was not talking about his adoptive parents. He was talking about the parents that decided to abandon him. The thought did not bring a frown to his face, but it did make his heart ache a little. Was he really bad luck? He was going to prove to his parents that he was, indeed, good, and that they made a mistake. He was three when they left him. It was not like he had no memory of the people at all. He wanted them to take him back because it was not fair. It wasn't fair that they abandoned him like they did. It was irresponsible, but Dominik still wanted them back. It simply was not the same with Malcom and Vaclava.

"Perrie, Dominik!"

Dominik happily walked up to the stool, and he took a seat. He looked over to the Ravenclaw table. Isaiah was a Ravenclaw. It would be cool to be a Ravenclaw too. He placed his hands in his lap as the Sorting Hat was placed on his head. "Oh. My. Gosh. The Sorting Hat is on my head!" he exclaimed excitedly. He felt as if he was a fangirl, but it was the Sorting Hat, the famous Sorting Hat! Any first year would be crazy to not be excited! He wanted to wrap the old Hat in wrapping paper and take him to his room! But, he had to be considerate of the other students. Dominik thought it would be a great prank to steal the Sorting Hat for a few days. He was sure that they would have a lot of intellectual conversations, and he could try to make the Hat laugh! Oh, he wanted to run around the Great Hall because of all of his excitement. He took in a deep breath, and he waited for the Hat to announce his new home.

Dominik is very energetic. He loves to play sports, and he is great at building relationships with people. There are times when he is bossy, because he likes to have things go a certain way for the benefit of everyone. He does not feel any different knowing that he is adopted. He grew up knowing that something was a little different because he and his siblings did not look alike, but he grew up with them. They are the only family Dominik knows. Dominik is not afraid to voice his opinion. He is open to the suggestions of others. He works well in teams. He is great at communicating with people. As a child, he was interested in his mother's job as a teacher. She spoke so well, and he picked up some of her habits when it came to his speech. Dominik is quite the life of the party. He is very energetic, and he is not afraid to pull a stranger into the group. He is very inclusive. He hates to see people left out. He is not shy, and he rarely gets nervous. He acts on his emotions more than anything. Dominik is always looking for ways to become better. If he feels he is failing in some way, he will work on the specific skill to perfection.

BIOGRAPHY:
Dominik was born on January 19, 2026. He was born to Cailean Yakovlev and Aitus Roman. He was born in Nampa, Idaho. He lived with his mother and father in New Zealand because his father got a job offer there. He would always call out for the attention of his parents, but his parents thought he was bad luck because he was born out of wedlock. His mother was mixed blood, and his father was mixed blood. One day his parents never picked him up from daycare. His adoptive mother ran that daycare, and she took him in after finding out his parents just up and left New Zealand. It did not take long for Dominik to get used to being apart of the Perrie family. He was adopted by Vaclava and Malcolm Perrie. They had two children ahead of him, but he easily got along with them. Dominik had a hard time controlling his emotions. On his third birthday his birthday cake blew up because it was not the color he wanted. Dominik never got the attention he needed from his biological family, so he did many things to get attention. He loved that his mother was a teacher. Her fluent speaking encouraged him. He started speaking grammatically correct sentences by the age of five with his mother's help. He had started reading at the age of four. He began to practice memorizing books. He wanted to be able to state the page number, paragraph, and even sentence number of any book he read. He had high expectations of himself since he was young. Malcolm got him into sports because of all the excess energy he had. He likes to play football and basketball. He enjoys being outside.

Dominik always was around magic. He wanted to learn magic, and he is jealous that his siblings began learning it before him. Dominik believes magic can help him get recognition from his biological parents. He does not remember much of them. He wants to prove that he is not bad luck and that he is intelligent. He began developing his photographic memory from this reason. He knows that he will not be able to get there by himself, so he supports his siblings as he would want them to support him. Dominik is closest to his cousin, Isaiah Jefferys. He would always take Isaiah out to play, and he loves to hear the stories Isaiah has to tell him. Dominik never argues with his siblings or parents. He has always been very rational and willing to do things for others. He never does his chores very well, and when his parents get mad at him for it, he just takes it. He has no problem taking criticism. Dominik and Scott are very funny together. They go well together. At the age of ten, he is excited to be going to Hogwarts New Zealand soon. He simply can not wait until it is his time to shine.
