Doing some rune work

Cyndi sat down on the grass by the lake to enjoy the beautiful day. She loved how still the water was at this time of the year. Cyndi had brought her runes down with her to do some more practice, but she couldn't bring herself to get started. The bag lay beside her untouched as she gazed out at the water and the sky.

Isabella was roaming the castle grounds freely, knowing she had a large amount of unfinished homework to do, but she always procrastinated on it anyway. She was enjoying the fact that her her was now long again because after she had cut it, she grew bored of it so quickly.

She walked over to the lakefront, one of her favorite places in entire castle and spotted someone familiar. As she walked closer, she noticed it was her friend and co-worker Cyndi. "Hey Cyndi," Isabella greeted her as she walked over to her. "Mind if I join you?"

Cyndi looked at the person who called her name. It was Isabella, her co-worker. Cyndi still didn't know her very well, but they had spent some together both at work and around the school.

"Of course you can" Cyndi said with a smile, "How have you been?" she asked.

Isabella smiled gratefully at the older girl and took a seat beside her. "I've been good," she said, she didn't know Cyndi all that well so she didn't think it was appropriate for her to spill her guts out to her or anything. "How about yourself?" she asked with a friendly smile. She was in a good mood for some reason.
