- do i look like an invalid-

Jack laughed when she acted that she was sad, Jack had to admit she looked pretty convincing. Jack then nodded. “Yes it is.” He told her, the laughed and messed up her hair once more. “But I think it suits you perfectly.” He said laughing when people looked at Maia weirdly because her hair was once again a fluff ball. Jack rolled his eyes. “Wie ware e smit deutschen?”(How about German?) He asked in German, trying to prove a point with a serious face, well he was trying to make it serious anyway.

Jack rolled his eyes and laughed when she poked him, it would be an understatement to say that he was a little ticklish. “You worry far too much about your hair, that’s what makes a girl single.” Jack explained. If a girl worried too much on her appearance then the guy doesn’t know what to do when they ask if they look OK because they have no idea, Jack had been in relationships where the girl wanted him to say that she looked beautiful but he used the word ‘nice’ so she stormed back into the bathroom for another hour, it is very annoying and stressful on the relationship. “And if he was your soul-mate then you would probably meet again anyway when your hair is not trying to impersonate Einstein.” He said laughing.

Jack rolled his eyes. “Whatever dries the tears at night Maia.” He said jokingly. Jack then shook his head. “Nope everyone loves me.” He said laughing, it was rather true Jack was hard to hate after all, people would try to stay mad but then he would do something weird or dumb and make them laugh, Jack didn’t purposely act dumb sometimes he just couldn’t get something but in time he would. Jack laughed. “No you will have to share, because I am always right while you are ‘accustomed’ to being right.” He explained in a child-like meaner, that was another reason why people found it hard to hate Jack, he could be such a child and people found it funny when he tries to be serious. Jack then rolled his eyes but said nothing.

Jack nodded when she told him that she was an actress. “Actually I always thought that an actor or actress just needed to be able to impersonate while a writer must be imaginative.” Jack told her, it was his opinion and in no way was he trying to overrule her own, Jack was too polite for that. “But if the bad times were faster than you would have more time to figure the good times instead of going morbid about the bad times.” Jack explained.

"Yup, I can pull anything off." she grinned, pushing him, though she wasn't very strong. "Nein."(No.) Maia grinned, she knew it was German, but she didn't speak it fluently. "French, Irish and English for me, but I can do most accents well." she smiled, biting her lip, a habit since childhood. She fluffed up his hair, but there wasn't much to mess up. She tied up her hair again and stuck her tongue out at Jack. "Meanie." He tried to look serious, but failed miserably, Maia laughed-she liked Jack.

Maia suddenly saw his weakness when she poked him, with a glint in her eye, she attacked him,p oking and tickling him. "I've got you now!" she exclaimed, then fell back in her chair, laughing uncontrollably. "Nah I don't, but I work for Elizabeth Wang, so if anyone from the office saw me-I'd be dead." she explained, her head tilted to one side. "And I'm single because guys can be complete @ssholes." she added, anger coming into her eyes as she remembered Taylor's smiling face. Then the moment passed and she returned to normal. "It doesn't have to-I'm already a genius." she laughed, putting her hand to her chin in a thinking pose.

"I don't cry. I've given up on it." she replied, cooly-she had given up on crying, she was all cried out-any more tears and she didn't think she could take it. "What about Tess?" she asked, seemingly innocent, knowing he had no way of getting out of this one. Though she could understand why people liked him, he was funny, seemed smart and good looking, still she would have to prove him wrong. "I was a Ravenclaw-we know these things. And we are always right." she replied, tapping her index finger against the side of her head.

Maia smiled at Jack's interpretation of acting. "Not really, you need to be able to portray the character in a completely new way-different from anyone else, you need to be able to imagine how you would feel-with their past, their life. You need to be vibrant, expressive and dramatic." she smiled, her eyes lighting up-this was what she loved. "Of course I also sing, it makes getting somewhere in the industry easier." she added,
She considered his answer. "Yes, but the good times, in remembrance can can be torture, and you wish they'd passed quickly-so you wouldn't have to remember at all." she sighed, how she wished she could forget.
