Louis didn't realise how good the Hogwarts meals really were until he actually tried them. Pat told him they were good, but he didn't expect them to be like this, especially since it was such a big school full of lots of people that had to be catered for. Louis had never met a house elf before, and after having some dinner in the Great Hall he really wanted to. Wiping his face with his napkin, Louis stood up from the Hufflepuff table in the Great Hall and began making his way down to the lower levels where he knew the kitchens were. He had never been down there before and so made sure to observe everything around him so as to not get lost on the way back. He didn't know where he was headed, but the smell of freshly made bread lead him there and he was sure he had found it when he did. He expected the door to be locked, but he pushed it open easily, revealing the biggest kitchen he had ever seen as the fresh smell of food engulfed him. It was kept clean, had plenty of bench space, and he had never seen so many pots and pans in one room. It was definitely the best room he had seen in the castle so far. He stepped further into the room, keeping an eye out for any house elves that may have been hiding. He wanted to thank them for his meal, but was unsure whether or not they would appear.

Cindy had been trying to get to her sister all week. Unfortunately she somehow managed to keep dodging her. How did she do that?! It was like she just somehow knew where Cindy was going to search next. It was hard though because this castle was absolutely humongous and finding her way anywhere really did require she have a map. Unfortunately of course she didn’t have a map. She was pretty good with directions though - thankfully - something she had over her sister. She’d heard people mention that Mary Lou often baked, which was something Cindy remembered well about her. For as long as Cindy could remember Mary Lou would always be baking with their mother. Cindy didn’t inherit the baking gene. Her passions leaned more towards books. She would have loved to be a writer one day. If nothing else - this school was good for stoking the imagination. Cindy stepped into the kitchen and looked around, although she only saw a boy. “Hi, sorry,” she thought she recognised him from classes and the common room. L-something. Louis? “Sorry have you seen an older blonde girl around here somewhere?”

Louis couldn't help but jump as a voice sounded behind him. He turned around wondering if it could be a house elf, or even a professor, but instead it was a familiar face from his classes, and he took a sigh of relief, even though he really hoped it was a house elf. "Hey." he said in response to her, giving her a small sigh. He remembered her name was Cindy. She was one of the few that wore glasses. She asked him about an older blonde girl, and the boy scratched his head, wondering why she would be looking in the kitchens of all places. "I don't know." he told her simply with a shrug, extremely confused at that point. "Are you trying to get to the dungeons?" Louis wondered if perhaps the older blonde girl was in Slytherin house. The dungeons weren't far from the kitchens, and maybe Cindy took a wrong turn. "Did you want me to help you find her?"
