Closed Discovering Some Troublemakers?

Mazikeen had agreed to meet Kira at the bottom of the north tower, and that was where she was. The gryffindor had been quite pleased to have another year as prefect. She knew that people tended to keep the positions until they finished up with schooling, but she felt it would still be important to take pride in her continuing to hold on to it. There were surely those who had lost the badge for any given reason and though Maze was well behaved she never wanted to be one of the people who lost the position. She had arrived early at the area and just sat on the bottom steps with a book out in front of her. She had her prefect badge pinned to her uniform, and had today chosen the shade of red lipstick that most closely matched the red of her house. She had taken great time and care in applying it since she really hadn’t wanted to get it wrong or do it badly. She didn’t waiting, she knew the girl, Kira, would be there soon enough.​

Kira was nervous but also kinda eager for her first patrol with the Gryffindor. She had been such good friends with Norton, maybe this would be the same. Kira could always use more friends. She hurried down the steps, coming to a stop behind Mazikeen and leaning over her. "Good book?" She inquired with a shy smile. Kira had always been a book worm, so it was an honest question.

Maze looked up when she heard some footsteps and looked up to see her patrol partner. Her gaze shifted to the book and she smiled a little at it, ”Oh it’s a care of magical creatures book, my favourite subject,” she told her, she closed over the book and slipped it into her robe’s pocket, ”Whats your favourite subject?” Since in Maze’s mind it would be rude for her to mention what her favourite was without giving Kira the opportunity to say hers, ”Are you reading to start patrolling?” Maze smiled at her, she thought it would be good fun. ​
