Eddie arrived in Obsidian Harbor from who-knows-where; from the Sorting Ceremony, I guess, and now he needed to get his school supplies. Something about that seems a little backwards....

Anyway, Eddie was looking for the bank; he knew his mother had forwarded some wizarding money to the Harbor's bank before the family left Massachusetts, in anticipation that he would need the money there for school supplies. Now....he just needed to find the bank.

Eddie walked around hopelessly for a while, it seemed like hours, walking the crowded streets. He saw many other first-year students, or at least they looked like first-years; your average too-wide smiles, books stacked up in their arms so that they reached over their heads, tripping over their own feet....just the usual. The main difference between them and Eddie, besides the obvious, was that they obviously had the money to find their school supplies that they were having so much trouble carrying. Edie finally made the decision to look for directions to the bank, or even just for somebody to hang with while he meandered around aimlessly.

"Anyone? Anybody? Hello?"

Wish wandered the streets around Obsidian, looking for something to do. As she was only ten, she hadn't gotten a Hogwarts letter yet, therefore having another year of nothingness in front of her. She looked at the familer shops, promising to have 'the best' type of whatever they were selling, and all the colour. It always amazed Wish how many colours there were in the world, and how fragrent everything smelt. The smell of food wafted outside as she passed a cafe. She smiled to herself and continued to wander aimmlessly.

Living near Obsidian had several benifits, one she was able to talk to other wizards and witches, a thing she couldn't do in a muggle town. She loved it here, all the new sights, all the different people. Wish supposed she valued life a lot more than most, the burns showed that. Only weeks before she had fallen head-first into the fireplace. And now half her face was blackened and ugly. Her blue eyes were still as piercing as before, her midnight hair slightly charred. She was still pretty, but not as much so as before.

She saw a boy wandering around, looking rather lost. Wish smiled, and walked over to him, as was her way. She liked to help people out, and had a chance of being in Hufflepuff the next year. She wanted to be in Ravenclaw like her sister, or Gryffindor like her father. She glided up to the boy, a first year, she guessed. "Lost?" she asked him, her melodious voice had a hint of laughter. Of course he was lost, he didn't have school supplies, she could see. She smiled at him, her blackened face startling in contrast to her pale, pixie-like features.
